  1. It is strange that in both games I felt the better team that day lost. I thought the Bills were out coached on both sides of the ball through the first three quarters in the second matchup. One thing that gives me some comfort coming into this game is McDermott/Frazier's track record against rookie QB's.
  2. IF this happens, it will pry be the only time you'll ever see Mahomes vs. Allen indoors. Should be great.
  3. If you win the Super Bowl I believe each player on the roster gets around 300k more than they would have if they missed the playoffs. You make a certain amount for each playoff game. DON'T MISS THAT GAME WINNER BASS!!! For a veteran on a minimum deal that's like a 1/3 of their salary for the whole year. That's pry the main motivation.
  4. Tre was coming off a torn ACL. Different injuries. Different rehab processes/timelines (both mentally and physically). We'll see if Hyde returns but I wouldn't compare the two injuries unless you're a medical expert.
  5. I'm hoping Hill and Waddle get food poisoning Sunday morning and make a full recovery by Monday.
  6. Drives me crazy that they cound "edge rushers" as LB's when it comes to the franchise tag. Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack aren't freaking LB's.
  7. We won't find out until they set the salary cap limit for 2023. They count all LB's the same and the tag last year was 18.7 million so you're pry looking at around 21 million next year to franchise tag him. I don't envy Beane when it comes to Edmunds.
  8. All Troy Vincent had to say was "We didn't realize the full seriousness of this unprecedented situation until we heard from all parties on site and that's why we eventually decided as a collective unit to suspend the game. We should've done it sooner and not leaned so heavily on previous protocols." People are willing to forgive but he for some reason decided to go full cover up mode which apparently included lying and throwing other people under the bus.
  9. Warning - in a bad mood right now. No. It's been this way since flipping 2002 (with the addition of one extra NFC game in 2021) and people are still shocked as if the NFL randomly picks opponents for us each year to screw us over. Spoiler alert for 2024.... Besides our division opponents, I predict we play the Texans, Rams, Colts (three enclosed stadiums - hooray), Seahawks, and whoever finishes the same place in the division in the AFC and NFC North on the road. We'll play the Titans, Jaguars, 49ers, Cardinals, and whoever finishes in the same place as us in the division in the AFC West at home.
  10. Pettine with the Browns comes to mind. That had more to do with the Browns than Pettine's coaching acumen.
  11. Even against the Jets defense Hill and Waddle were running wide open and just needed a qb who could get the ball to them. Skylar Thompson was awful. If Tua is on his A game then we may have trouble containing their passing attack if our defense played like it did against the Pats. It wouldn’t surprise me if it came down to the wire against them again in a shootout if Tua plays.
  12. I'm the least confident in this defense since McDermott's been here. Losing Miller really hurts. Last year we at least had Hughes and Addison who were better when it came to purely rushing the passer. Hyde is out. His backup (Hamlin) is out. Poyer is playing like a warrior but he's fighting nagging injuries. White isn't the same since the ACL tear. Jackson and Elam are below average corners right now. The interior D-line needs to step it up or Allen is going to have to win in shootouts.
  13. The secondary concerns me the most considering we're pry going to have to beat the top three passing offenses in the league (imo) when healthy to make the Super Bowl.
  14. NFL scheduling might want to know if Tua plays. If not, we may have the first Saturday game.
  15. Home against the Bengals and a neutral site game against the Chiefs is too appealing not to go all out in this game. I don't want them to have to go back to the scene of the Hamlin injury and I don't want the playoff mystique of Arrowhead in their heads if they were to make it to the AFC Championship game. Hoping for a Fins loss too.
  16. The bye week as teams have been better over the years at playing on the road. You see it in the Vegas point spreads as it went from the home team getting 3 points to its now 1.5. However, I think playing in front of your fans in your stadium to get to the Super Bowl shouldn’t be taken away. The second half of the Raiders AFC Championship game in ‘91 is my favorite memory of all the games I’ve gone too.
  17. They could just as easily argue that they should go by number of wins. Unfortunately, that's why they go by winning percentage. It sucks but I can't think of a more fair way without actually resuming the Bills/Bengals game. KC lucked out but at least the NFL tried to make it a little fairer with the neutral site addendum. The Bengals got shafted though with that bs coin flip thing.
  18. I don't see how you could simply take away a win from KC. I mean one of those two overtime grudge match victories against the Texans and the Willis led Titans would've been meaningless.
