  1. Perhaps this has been discussed previously but I don't understand why we didn't re-sign Marcus Price, extremely serviceable lineman and our reluctance to re-sign either Jonas or Pat. Yeah, I know their collective price tags were too much but I see gaps in both of our lines now with minimal experience at back up. Surely we can afford to slightly overpay to keep some continuity.
  2. Left Cambodia in February after @ 2 years and am now in Germany. Inching closer and closer to civilization.
  3. Twice actually (College years). First time was on a road trip to Oswego, NY. Great party town but couldn't find any parking in the student lot, so in my collegiate cleverness I peeled off an Oswego parking sticker from a student's car and placed it on mine. Silly Rabbit, Campus police all over that trick and the next day as I was about to leave I notice my car had been towed. Total fiasco but I get out of it with a minor fine. Second time, in Geneva, NY coming from a local bar, cold as heck with about three loud Fraternity Brothers. I chew tobacco so instead of exposing my face to the frigid weather I pick up an empty bottle (yes beer bottle) and spit into it...next thing I hear is whoop whoop the sound of the police and the took me away for having an empty container. Another fiasco but they let me go after 30 minutes once they see the evidence. Thank God for Copenhagen.
  4. North Buffalo, 35, not in Cambodia anymore - shivering in Germany
  5. Hobart College - 1991 " THE STATESMEN " oh yeah, Delta Phi chapter of KAPPA SIGMA
  6. I was in Sanaa, Yemen. I am quite sure I was the only Bills fan.
  7. I came out of the chute a Bill's and Sabre's fan. It's a badge of honor !!
  8. I say give the boy a shot. How many years does Losman need to develop. He's had one year to watch and adjust from the sidelines, even if he was nursing a leg injury. He will have all offseason, training camp(s) and pre-season. Give him the rock and let's roll the dice. Until you empower him to be the leader, it will just prolong his development. Losman can do everything the Bill's leadership will ask of Bledsoe: quick throws, hand off to Willis, limit turnovers, and manage the game. Plus he gives you added mobility and an 'X' factor that remains unknown until you play the lad. Just my .02 cents.
  9. I would give up my Copenhagen snuff...wow, I must really love this team.
  10. And to do this in Tampa where they've never really been known as a passing offense and with suspect quarterback play - nice job. Evans is still a great fit for us and will most undoubtedly develop into a top 10 wr before all is said and done. Josh Reed, on the other hand, will be hard pressed to retain his job next year.
  11. Firefighter Is Among Those Charged in Md. Arson Case By Sari Horwitz, Erich Rich and Fred Barbash Washington Post Staff Writers Saturday, December 18, 2004; 5:05 PM http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...-2004Dec18.html
  12. Love Hockey and miss it. When I was in Virginia, I would go everytime the Sabres played the Capitals. Now that watching hockey is basically impossible kind of glad I'm not missing anything. The thing that disturbs me about hockey, and probably all of the other major sports, is the turnover of players, the lack of loyalty (owners and players), franchise upheavel, have/have nots (baseball) and the watering down of tradition (hockey). I used to love NHL's tradition with the different conferences and the Olympics with Junior college/college players instead of NHL pros. I personally like the hard hitting style of hockey, doesn't bother me, kinda miss the bench clearing brawls too. During the playoffs the pureness of the sport is evident... Where's Gilbert Perrault and Guy Lafleur when you need them.
  13. Some of you may appreciate this. I just bought a vintage 1969 AMC US Army Jeep, Original parts, in Cambodia for $1,000. I'm going to drive it over to Saigon and ship it to the States. It's in good body shape needs some TLC under the hood but runs remarkably well. Pretty excited to have this bad boy running around the mean streets of No. Virginia.
  14. Oop! I guess this was already said, let's try Billy Smith.
  15. Here's one Mike Palmateer (sp?)
  16. Awesome! Fuhr, Puppa, Housley, Ruff - I laughed so hard I'm all McSorley now.
  17. Hal Garner, Bill Simpson and one of my favorites: Jeff Nixon. PS: Earlier post stated that Mitch Ferotte played 'D', I believe he was an offensive lineman - guard actually.
  18. Had it done in 2002, very successful. I agree, don't do it on the cheap. Your eyes are nothing to fool around with. Had mine done in Virginia - cost, I believe @ $1,300 per eye and it's all about your cornea thickness and their ability to "shape" it. Of course it's an outpatient procedure but it does have a slight discomfort factor. I'm sure the price has come down considerably.
  19. My Father used to tell this joke all the time when I was small and the Bills were coming off of 2-14 seasons. Thanks for the laugh.
  20. KD you are so correct. The US, under Powell's leadership, has actually been on the leading edge in proclaiming the violence in Sudan genocide. The UN, African Union and others have been reluctant to take this step. The truest measure in determining if the US is doing enough in Africa is evident from the silence you hear from the Black Congressional Caucus, NAACP, Sharpton, Jackson, Amnesty International or others. They can express their outrage over the events in Sudan but not America's response...and that's the truth.
  21. Thanks GG that was informative. Appreciate it.
  22. Maybe you guys can help me out. What's the difference between a regular conservative (me) and a neocon (I guess me too)? Where did the phrase neocon come from in the first place? Are there distinct policy differences between a "staunch conservative" and a "neocon". Neocon seems to be a word with high negative connotations or a fleeting right-wing movement. Thanks
  23. The blackbear should stay simply because he's gotten everyone all stirred up over nothing. I count at least 3 "theblackbear" topics and a poll determining his fate...don't the Bills play this weekend.
  24. Initials and present location - wonderfully creative huh?!?
