Sal says UFA QB's was not the Bills plan
ILBillsfan replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They were interested in bradford but asking price too high....i agree w them not over paying for a rent an arm when im sure qb is the first pick for bills in draft -
Could Hughes be next? $10.4 mil cap
ILBillsfan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Hughes is gone. The Bills are focused on resetting where the money is spent on this team and I do not see Hughes contract fitting in. I also think Lawson is on the block because he does not fit this D No way McCoy is moved -
After trading with the Giants the Bills take

USC QB Darnold will be read off the draft card....They were all over him and have suddenly been very quiet -
Was The Tyrod Taylor Era a Success?
ILBillsfan replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He ended the drought so yep ....plus I liked watching Tyrod play he brought excitement to the game. Sure he had head scratching moments but thought he was a very classy guy that brought the Bills some stability to the QB position. -
Assuming Bills have their choice, which QB is chosen?
ILBillsfan replied to buffaloaggie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They were high on Darnold and then the talk got quiet about him and there doesn't seem to be much chatter so I'm going with him. -
QB Velocity Numbers for 2018 Draft Released
ILBillsfan replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lamar Jackson didn't even hit 50 wow -
I think the Bills have a checklist w contingency plans probably looked like 1 Best FA QB with dollars range sign (cousins or whom ever they deemed to be the target) 2 Can we trade for a QB that we think could be a good option (Could of been Smith until he was traded and now could be Foles) 3 draft a qb ( they prob have two guys they will go all in on moving up the board if they are available and if they cant get them I do not think they go crazy to move up to draft anyone other then Rosen/Darnold) btw if the Browns would happen to take Barkley number one that number two pick of the Giants cost wise suddenly goes thru the roof imo I could be way off though but I would imagine it is something very similar.

I think they also hold a piece to helping the Giants where they badly need it in Cordy Glenn.....They can include him in this somehow and maybe only give up two picks possibly. The Giants had one of the worst offensive lines last year and I think adding Glenn to the equation would help the Bills put some extra sweetener on the deal for the number two pick of course I could also see them working something similar with the Colts.

and all of these but I like that you are actually showing facts vs just your words NFL Scout: “I think he has a good chance of being a bust. Just like every other Tedford-coached quarterback. Thing I struggle with him is he gets sacked a lot. He doesn’t have great ability to change the release of the football. He’s mechanically very rigid. Brett Favre can change his release point and find different windows. There will be more growing pains with Alex Smith but in the end he has a much better chance to be much better.” NFC scout: “The guys that Tedford has had, what have they developed into? They’re too well-schooled. So mechanical. So robotic. I don’t know if they become good pro players. I think Rodgers is in that same mold.” AFC scout: “He’s a system quarterback. 3-, 5-, 7-step guy. Can’t create on his own. Panics under pressure. Gets flustered easy. I don’t think there’s a quarterback in the draft worthy of a first-round pick. I’m dead serious. None of them are worth it.” Marc Ross, Buffalo: “He’s a little short. The thing you worry about is those (Jeff) Tedford guys. They don’t do anything for a couple years and then they have a good year or two. Who of his quarterbacks has done what they’re supposed to do? None of them. Is he just working magic with great college quarterbacks or just manufacturing guys?” AFC scout: “I don’t like him. He’s a clone of Harrington and Boller. They all throw the same way. What have those guys done? Nothing. If you take him in the second round, fine. Heady guy. They do a marvelous job of coaching quarterbacks there. I don’t think he’s as good as the top quarterbacks coming out last year.” Getting way off the original subject but I do think it was interesting see Marc Ross form Buffalo that year and the scouting reports show 23 times whey teams did not think he was top rated QB prospect

I just don't get people who continue to view qb as the cheap option if there is ever a position you spend big money on it's the QB position without your team is just mucking thru the seasons. I hear the biggest argument is they would rather spend the money on other positions, well sorry but without a QB your chances of playoffs go down hrmmm maybe there is a team who missed the playoffs for 17yrs because they brought in big FA other than a QB that was worth something. Cousins would be a welcome addition to this team and they can fill other positions with the draft.

Von Miller's road map to Beat Brady
ILBillsfan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
bring in a special teamer on def and he has one job go low into Brady's knee..... how far would you go to win the super bowl ...another Tonya Harding play -
I would love to see the Eagles win but Brady has not had issues w Schwartz's defensive schemes at all so I do not see the Eagles stopping them on Def and unfortunately the Eagle's have Foles and I don't expect a lights out performance but one can never tell That's why they say any given Sunday.

DO I think he should be playing in the NFL....absolutely DO I want the Bills to bring him in.....Nope

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - The GM's QB Decision Tree
ILBillsfan replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't want any of the Minnesota guys (bridgewater..how is the knee and stat wise taylor is just as good, Bradford yeah this guy cant even stay healthy, Keenum lightning in a bottle maybe?) Smith interested me but that option is done with the trade The guy I liked coming out of college watching a lot of big ten games is the guy I really hope the back the truck up to make sure they get in Cousins. They did this for a DE and that didn't work out that great but when a guy who is arguably around top ten you make your move. Now this should not stop the franchise form drafting QB's the same way the Pats do it every year and they have Brady but if you going to pay for a position QB is it. I only listed the FA way because I think the cost is way too high to move up in the draft and you are sacrificing too much with all the holes the Bills need to address with all the FA's because with one of the older rosters in the league it tells me they need fresh bodies in via the draft so moving up makes no sense. Not to mention the failure rate of first round QB draft picks -
This they want the guaranteed money from a new contract
-
Sign cousins and keep all your drft picks to tool the defense with younger guys QB is a much more riskier option when drafting
-
Yet his stats don't back up your expert analysis, so show us versus your NFL expert opinion because stats show he is no better.
-
he's a top ten QB I don't see what the issue is and when the 49ers tag Garapallo the QB market will be shifted up SMH at all these comments that Taylor is somewhat comparable to Cousins Sign cousins you then have your picks to add pieces with all these FA's Trade up for a QB you have a coin flip if that QB will work out and no pieces pretty simple decision

Thompson running free.. thanks Romo!!!
ILBillsfan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod will not throw the pass unless the guy is wide open .......Frustrating hearing a real NFL QB tell you where the open guy is vs the coverage's and Tyrod is dumping the ball off If either of these teams had a QB the team with the NFL Qb wins this game easy -
I hope someone from the media asks McDermott why...
ILBillsfan replied to KDS73's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that is called gap responsibility
