Is Beane universally liked and trusted by the fans?
DFT replied to Mr. K's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He should be! -
I’ll guess 27M with incentives. But it will impact Reader if it’s higher.

Free Agency News and Updates - around the league
DFT replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Totally fair! But I don’t think these are much more than speculation. That’s all I was trying to say in my original comment. No doubt D-Bil enjoys this, but I think a few of these have nothing to do with the player’s agent. ? Good for him! Great kid and he deserves it. Wish him the absolute best! -

A few dollars higher than Slater, because he’ll be our ST captain and an off-the-bench LB. really sound deal. -
Great!!! Bills keeping the group together. He’s a guy that many were high on as a depth piece with upside. Good move!!

Apologies, meant nothing by that. Teams do leak. Some teams leaked yesterday (49ers). It used to happen at OBD, too. Info gets out and whatnot. What I meant to say was OBD is really locked up these days. I totally agree a lot is agent-driven. These just don’t strike me as that. -
Bills trade for Diggs - jw no discussions on a restructure
DFT replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One more thing to play into all of this is the paradigm of potential down-time from the virus issues and the effects it could have on rookies and their learning curve. That had to be a thought echoed in this. It’s going to have an effect on player-readiness, the likes of which the league hasn’t seen before. This was a REALLY important trade. Bills did well to pull it off. -
Bills trade for Diggs - jw no discussions on a restructure
DFT replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed! There had to be a discussion involved about their ability to move up for JJ or Lamb (possibly Ruggs), before this trade was made. The Bills probably realized that it wasn’t worth it to give up more than they did for Diggs. I completely agree. No team has spent more scouting time on WR than Buffalo, so I trust these guys to make that decision. They weren’t able to get the same value with a trade that they got with Diggs (assumingely). This was the right move. -
Bills Sign Mario Addison on a 3 year deal
DFT replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is such a great signing. It should most likely keep Hughes and Addison both fresh and in rotation. Great addition! -

‘’Tis the season... This seems more like tea leaves, but who knows. OBD just doesn’t leak these days. From the scouts - up, they are extremely well-kept. Gone are the days where so many from the scouting or coaching community would get really good and trusted info. It’s both great and bittersweet at the same time. This regime is really something though. Very proud to see what these guys have done. I don’t think they’re done at all. -

Internally there’s some love for Tee Higgins
DFT replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just logged in to see this and can’t help but chuckle at some of the reactions here. Keep your high opinion of him though. I think the Bills feel the same way (as do I). I can’t help but see a very similar skill set to A.J. Green and his PD did nothing but fuel that for me. Not disrespecting anyone else’s opinion here, but some of these posts are just nonsensical at best. Someone’s going to get a good one, in Higgs. No question. -
I’m pretty sure this is what Herpes looks like under the microscope. And no... not from experience.

Will Cody Ford Be Our Starting RT Next Year?
DFT replied to ghostwriter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let’s see what a year into an NFL strength, agility and conditioning program does for him. He may be much improved from last year. Or... He may still have glue on his heals. -
I usually use an Art Vandalay style “T Square” to draw those kind of conclusions...

Boom! Even better.

Interesting thought! A ton of moving parts, but I could also see Buffalo tagging Lawson and including him in the trade as well (packaged with a 3rd). Not nearly as expensive as Ngakoue will be, but still a productive young D end with upside. But that just makes way too much sense for the Jags, so I doubt DC would go for it.

That’s because Sammy relied on his pure talent up to that point. His own admission was he barely had to try until the pros. What players find out when they transition from college, to the pros is that your talent alone is not enough. It is a constant work to improve every aspect. Sammy was too lost in his own brand, something that never reared its ugly head when he was scouted. Talent-wise and production, no question Sammy was as good of a prospect as could be as a top 5. I don’t see this in any of the top 3 prospects this year. These guys are the total package in my opinion. But we just don’t know until the proverbial rubber meets the road.

Tee Higgins was tired so he chose not to participate
DFT replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea... This thread will be completely irrelevant after March 12th. He’s many things... Soft.. Not so much. And I’m sure the Bills are hoping 21 teams think the same as some of you folks (with respect). -
JJ in my opinion is definitely the more technically sound. But that’s what has me thinking it’s NOT him, honestly. I think that getting a guy that has the better ability to “catch anything with ease”, suits JA the most. I don’t think he’s where he needs to be to reap the benefits of JJ’s precision. Both are incredible though, no question. I just have a sneaky suspicion that it would be the more sure-handed Lamb. And it would have to be a leapfrog over AZ scenario because I just can’t see them passing on him. But again, I’m probably overthinking things.

Glad to see this thread. Coming away from the combine, there’s definitely a feeling that the Bills like those two a lot. Very similar to the year they drafted Watkins. Different F/O, but I remember coming away sensing they were about to make a move (though admittedly I thought it was for Evans and not Watkins). I get the feeling (and that feeling seems to be shared) that Buffalo is really thinking about moving up. Just weighing out everything, if I had to guess based off of the talk, chatter and lip service, I believe they’ll try this year and that the target is Lamb. I think it will be a trade with the Panthers, if it happens and it will cost next year’s first. I love JJ. I think he’s the best WR in the class. Reading the tea leaves though, Lamb is the best WR for Allen. I’m not all-in on this, but I’m starting to believe the smoke has some fire behind it. Trying to wrap my brain around CD being a Bill. And I agree that the Nuke comparisons are definitely valid. but I’m probably wrong, so there’s that.
