why you’re hoping for AJ Dillion in Round 2? Not gonna happen
I hope he plays more like Charlie HellNot at all. I’m not as concerned with the Dugger pick as I am the rest. And I don’t think any of us can really say for sure how this draft will fall. We’ve never had the variables that this draft will unfortunately have.

Like who?
Are you asking just Bills players who have reported out of shape for camp or OTAs the last few years or have been held out due to conditioning concerns/ failed fitness test?
Kelvin Benjamin
Marcell Dareus
Dion Dawkins
Cordy Glenn
Karlos Williams
To name a few big names from around the league (last few years) the list grows. Here’s a few...
Leveon Bell
Mike Wallace
Rob Gronkowski
D Revis
Robert Nkemdiche
Mcnabb
Haynesworth
Rolando McCLain

One would think the Diggs deal was already in the works. I don't believe they were thinking, "Diggs or Sanders, Sanders or Diggs, hmm? Diggs it is because Sanders won't commit."
Yep. ES was most likely a fallback option if the Vikings chose not to accept the offer.

But is it open? Thought all gyms were closed.
Yea, I’m not sure about that. I thought the same, but they definitely look like they’re open for their high-level clientele. Maybe they have some procedures in place, but honestly I have no idea. I hope they are open with a contingency on being tested.

Not sure where he is
Looks like Humble TX. Big time program there (ASP) and a great facility if that’s where he is.

Who in their right mind would trade Watson?

Good post! I don’t think there’s much to this, but all bets are off with O’Brien. It wouldn’t be nearly as impossible as the cap restriction shows (at first glance), however. It would need to involve top-end contracts like Gilmore’s, and of course Thuney (nearly 15 mil on tag). It would take some finagling, but anything is possible. I just sincerely doubt it will happen. A 1st and the inclusion of Gilmore/ Thuney should allow, but again, a much greater mind than mine is also needed...

The GMs as a whole have asked for this, which to me makes zero sense that Goodell doesnt want to listen.
Better off moving it back and trying to do things as correctly as possible.
The NFL stands to lose money, hence RG’s refusal to comply (at the moment). It’s all about the money.

I think many of them do work out in public gyms, but with personal trainers.
There are pretty effective body weight workouts. Gronk is said to have loved the Insanity workouts and to have done them 2 hrs/day.
I posted a Men's Health workout that I'm told is pretty legit.
So hopefully these guys communicate and exchange info about the best workout options outside the gym
The S&T and coaching staffs aren't aloud to communicate in the form of sending their players workout regimens, is my understanding, though I hope if this continues long they will be allowed to communicate in lieu of OTAs. But they are allowed to chat, so I would think they're allowed to say something like "I've been looking at that PX90 workout and I think it's pretty good, I'm going to try it myself" and the player on the other end gets the flick.
They are, but aren’t allowed to make them mandatory. The regiments are inclusive with nutrition guidelines and best practices. I got to see a sample of one last Tuesday. Very generic, but lays pretty solid guidelines on the BMI/ Macro focus. Very simple and easy to follow.

When you think back over the years of big-time players reporting to OTAs and Camps out of shape, it’s an indicator of who they are, away from the game and how much discipline they have to themselves (as ugly as it sounds). Extra time beyond team-influence will potentially effect some pretty big names this year. The regiments that are going out are absolutely critical for these players to dedicate themselves to, especially with team activities indefinitely suspended. Players won’t be able to take themselves for granted during the lull. Especially the guys in the trenches whose bodies depend on a cardio regiment at their size.
-
There really is no S&C aside from regiments being sent to players on a schedule. This is where foundational culture gets tested. With activities shut down, what these players are doing with themselves, their methods of staying in shape, communicating and developing will be on full display. Work ethic is an absolute in these situations. Guys that think they can coast are going to struggle this year and it could create a paradigm for preparedness going forward. Right now, the players have to own themselves. They are 100% accountable, which lends credence to the concern of what this rookie class will be if/when the year begins. We may see even more draft pick trading in lieu of this. It’s unprecedented.

Bottom 10, definitely. But a top 3 coach should be able to compensate for some of that. .500 team would be a big accomplishment barring anything unforeseen.

Yeah, I hate former MVPs and SB qbs too.
I never got the hate Cam has gotten. I bet a lot of the people who don’t like him are very similar looking. Brady screams at his coaches - passionate. Rivers talks crap to an opponent - competitor. Rodgers has a td celebration- confident. Newton does the same - cocky jerk who isn’t about the team.
i hope he is healthy and signs with a good team. Guy is a baller and what we should hope Allen comes close to being.
MVP
SB
Heisman
National championship
Most rushing yards for a qb
rookie passing records
hell, we are building a statue for Allen who can’t sniff Newton’s resume.
I think Cam’s detractors come in two flavors. Those that can’t get beyond their own impressions of the polarizing character he is (which is unfortunate, because there’s so much good there) and those like me that are concerned with his downside due to the absolute pounding he’s taken.
There’s a great argument to be made that Cam is VERY similar in character to how many remember a young Jim Kelly to be. Cocky, determined and sometimes, even to his detriment. But when the chips are down, that’s the EXACT guy you want leading your team. On the other side though, is the question that needs to be asked given his injury history... Is his potential downside worth risking Allen’s potential upside? That’s the thing I struggle answering, personally. The fans in Charlotte are rightfully upset. Cam did a lot for the community. He would be a tremendous “Buffalo guy”, no question. But my main question still stands given his injury history (at least for me).

I just had a random reaction and wanted to say somewhere. This thread seemed to be the right place.
I was in the thread about whether Johnson could have impact from the edge this year. I was talking about positions where we shouldn't be surprised if some rookie or second year guy might unexpectedly have an impact, like Johnson might on the edge. I ran through the position groups. When I got to receivers, I said that's a position where I wouldn't think it's likely. I said it just doesn't seem likely that anyone is taking playing time from Diggs, Brown, and Beasley.
And I did a double take. When was the last time any of us wrote the names of the Bills receivers and in their minds what we see now? Moulds and Price, I suppose. Moulds and Evans. But really, I think you have to go back to Reed, Beebe and Lofton before you find as good a group.
We should still be dancing in the streets over that move.
Agree 100%! Some could argue Watkins, Woods (the one who got away!) and Goodwin, but they’re not nearly what we have today (in my opinion). The more this move has begun to settle the more intelligent and forward-thinking it presents itself as.

Wow, very interesting signing!

So who are the big contacts on the Chiefs? Not Mahomes.
Watkins... That’s the move that will open things up most likely. His will either be re-worked (which he probably won’t do) or released.

I’m pretty hopeful, but that’s probably just the “optimism amidst downtime”, talking. The good thing is that even though things are pretty much at a standstill, the NFL is still working through their options and are making really strong decisions. With the exception of Sean P and his affinity for ordering cheesesteaks during quarantine.
But seriously, for as much grief as Goodell gets (and some deservedly), he’s a “war-time” commissioner who’s motivated by money and profitability. If there’s a way to make the year happen in a worst-case scenario, my money’s on him getting it done.
