  1. The same people complaining about the deal are the same ones that'll cry endlessly that this team "laCKs pLaYmAKeRs!" He's a playmaker, you retain guys like that.
  2. Nice. I'm glad they got a deal done. I like Ray and Ty but Jimmy gives them a gamebreaker element that those guys don't quite have yet. Cook's speed, vision, and ability to slice thru lanes is really good. Awesome. Just don't drop anymore giftwrapped passes from Lord Jorsh, alright?
  3. Yurp. That's what first came to mind. Either that or simply beating the stupid Chefs at home.
  4. My thoughts as well. Personally, I'm all for keeping Jimmy...just not at what he's been asking. Hard to justify that kinda money when the dude often comes out on 3rd down/passing downs because Ray and Ty are better blockers. But if the deal looks like something similar to what Kyren Williams just got then I think most of us Bills fans would be happy with that. During the McBeane era they've kinda always cycled thru running backs. Singletary was alright but didn't seem like someone imperative to re-sign. Zack Moss fizzled out. They'd sign vets like Gore or Chris Ivory or Matt Breida, TJ Yeldon, etc for RB2 or whatever but none of those dudes ever really broke out like Cook did. At this point I think Cook is the best back they've had during the McBeane times and I think he's worth re-signing.
  5. I'll probably always remember the news of him signing here. Consider my gasters all flabbered when I heard that. And then I get a call from my dad, "Hey, car broke down, can you drive over and give us a jump?" Yeah sure, be right there. I walked into the building they were at to go find them and it was a surprise birthday party my then-girlfriend had put together for me. I think it was #27? I can't remember. Sheesh. I'm old. Anyway, I didn't marry that one, she turned out to be uh, what do ya call it, nuts, yeah that's it. So I married one even nuttier. Anyways. Seemed so weird TO signed here, at the time they didn't have a lot going for them as a team. Fred Jackson was having some moments and I think '09 was when they handed the starting gig to Fitz. I do remember the 98-yard bomb he threw to Owens against the Jags (I think) and the season opener that year I can remember TO trying to rally the team. Was that the Pats game where Leodis McSchmelvin coughed up the kick return and then ol' Timmy B threw the go-ahead TD? Nothing like some memories that still kick ya right in the junk.
  6. It really feels like some of youse wanna get back into a new coach/GM every 2-3 years cycle. No thanks.
  7. "C'mon man, we gotta take the field." "Be right there!" *schnnnnoooorrrkk* "Why you late?!" "I uh, misplaced my helmet for a second."
  8. Quinton Jefferson lives rent free in my head for the hustle he showed on the Von fumble recovery against the Ravens in the divisional game. Big 71 truckin' down the field trying to get a block on Justice Hill, who is ridiculously fast. Good effort nonetheless!
  9. You're all gonna be sorry when the Golden Ghost racks up 90 sacks this season. Leave Baylon alone!!
  10. You see he's got the business socks on? Then you know it's business time.
  11. I mean, if you wanna try and sling it and push the ball a bit more than you normally would then practice is the place to do it lol. I'm glad he was able to minimize the turnovers last season but I accepted long ago that the dude might throw a pick or two but (typically) his pros outweigh the cons. Threw a pick in the first on a second down play from midfield? Sure, but then he went ham for four TDs and a big dub so, pick forgiven lol.
  12. Yeah, before the wife and I had our kids we used to hit up the stores for Pops. As it did with many things, COVID complicated the hobby. And then we had our buddies and obviously priorities change when that happens. It was fun while it lasted but sometimes I look at the stack of totes that are full up with Pops sitting in the basement and I'll be like, "what the heck am I gonna do with all these?" I've been able to sell off a bunch thru the world's largest yard sale at the fairgrounds. I used to sell on eBay quite a bit as well but the work involved to list/package/ship everything was heavily outweighing the profits, especially when it seems like there's a new fee added every other month or whatever. These days I still might get a couple as gifts from some folks but I haven't bought one myself in a couple years now.
  13. Aside from getting bossed around by two small humans all day, I play guitar, read/collect comic books, find cheap shiny Bills cards to collect, used to collect Funko Pops but just don't have the space anymore and have been slowly leaning out the collection, follow the Bills via this board and reddit and typically SMH at some of the opinions/expectations lol, and then I like AEW (newish pro wrestling company). What a dweeb.
  14. Yeah, everyone better be wearing their non-slip mat-proof cleats today. I'll be out there inspecting. "You sir, yes you, the tall one with the fluffy hair and the rocket launcher right arm, do you have the appropriate footwear?!" "Talk to me again and I'm gonna throw a football *through* you." "Fair enough!" And that was the last we saw of cleat inspector blacklabel.
  15. "Alright punk, you wanna be a tough guy? Have it your way. *slams desk, shines light in your face* Where were you on the evening of January 26, 2025?!" "Uh...um...I can't remember!" "Lies. *dumps out bucket of Legos* You gonna quit lying yet, schmuck?! You're gonna Riverdance on these GD Legos, pal!! Again, January 26, where were you? What were you doing?!" "Not crying! I swear!" "Bullhonk! Now dance, monkey boy, dance!" *12 seconds after an excruciating Lego Riverdance* "Okay, okay, I give! I'll tell you anything you want. Yes, yes I was crying *starts to sob* on the 26th. The Walrus Man and the Noodle Haired Kid, they took my heart, and they smashed it, waaauuuggghhhh!!"
  16. Doesn't seem like anything has been too serious, tho. Plus they're gonna be super cautious whenever a player even mildly aggravates something. "Coach, I stepped on a Lego!" "Shut 'em down for the day!"
  17. The Tarpinator?! How could we forget such a legend. For a while there was always some kinda late round or undrafted darling most of the board would go ham over. Brandon Reilly, Da'Rick Rogers, etc.
  18. I said, "but I'm tired, I been walkin' all day!"
  19. That's right. I didn't go back far enough, Anderson was here in 2012. Came off a 10 sack season in NE in 2011 and then did a whole buncha nuffin with the Bills.
  20. Hmm...not sure who that would've been. My mind went to Manny Lawson maybe? He was around in the Rex era but I think he played for the Niners before the Bills.
  21. Not sure why but since they picked him I've had this feeling that he could turn into a steal. As others have stated, he gives them a different skill set at edge rusher. They've got the length guys like Groot and Epenesa, and now a length & power guy in Landon Jackson, Hoecht seems like a power rusher, Bosa when healthy can bring a little bit of speed and power. Solomon probably the speediest of the bunch tho and I think they could probably create some pressure packages that he's a part of. It can vary depending on the matchups as well. If they have an opponent with a right tackle who really struggles with speed rushers then yeah maybe he's getting some snaps that week.
  22. They may have been interested in acquiring him at some point but with the resources they put into DB (and the way they seem to be genuinely psyched for all three of Max Hairston, Jordan Hancock, and Dorian Strong) plus bringing back Tre and Dane as the veteran/mentor types with experience in the system, seems like they're set right now. I'm betting Alexander wants a long term deal with plenty guaranteed but given his injury history I'd bet that he ends up somewhere this year on a relatively pricey one-year prove it type of deal. Unless a team out there with plenty of space just wants to gamble on him and be like yeah here's a monster four year deal, please dont break lol.
  23. I don't even think he made the team but RB Joique Bell was someone I thought could've been really good. His college stats/tape were insane but it was a small school so that was probably the knock on him. He did carve out a solid career as a backup in Detroit tho. When I was a kid, Pete Metzalaars was my guy. Just a monster of a man out there. I think we Bills fans probably rate him appropriately but right now in this era I really love me some Khalil Shakir. I call him the Pinball Wizard. Seems like nearly every time he gets the ball he's bouncing off defenders like a pinball, man.
  24. It took me nearly a week to go back and just watch highlights of the AFCCG from this year, and I skip past any KC highlights. I was kickin' rocks for a while after that one. Really believed they were gonna pull it off at the end there. To me, that one has been the worst playoff loss they've had in the Allen Era. I don't think I've ever rewatched a full game, I'll just scroll thru highlights. It's still fun to scroll thru the Denver and Baltimore games. When they win a Super Bowl, I'll probably rewatch that one and go thru the highlights everyday for like a month straight afterwards.
  25. I was about to mention RB Jonathan Williams who was drafted in the fifth round of 2016 and hung on with a few teams as a special teams ace but it appears his last season was '23 with Washington.
