  1. Dang it. What a bummer for the dude. From what I gathered it seems like the rehab process from his leg fracture was pretty stressful. He gets past all of that, slowly works his way back up to full speed in practices, gets thru camp, and then bam, exploding bicep. I heard there were chunks of Italian Stallion bicep all over da field, new guy's in the corner puking his guts out, BLAARRRGGH!! Nah, I digress. They're a different defense when he's in there. They'll find a way as they always seem to do but I was definitely looking forward to seeing him and Bernard work together. I know Dorian is next man up. He certainly has the athleticism, I think he just needs to control his speed a little more as he sometimes runs himself out of plays. I wonder if they'll look to sign anyone.
  2. You could see it during his rookie year that he just had something special to him. It wasn't always pretty but there were a number of moments that really made me sit back and go, "Man, they might really have something in this kid." And that's after going thru nearly 20 years of subpar QB play so I was definitely trying to temper my expectations but I remember feeling genuinely excited and I hadn't really got that vibe with any other QBs they'd tried. One of my favorite moments from his rookie season was the Jags game. I'm not sure but I think it may have been his first game back from the injury. And it's still one of my all-time favorite throws of his, and it's the rocket he launched to Robert Foster for a 75 yard TD as the pocket around him collapsed. I thought for sure it was gonna be a sack. Then suddenly you see the ball come flying out of that swarm of humanity and it finds Foster 50-some yards down the field and he trucks it the rest of the way for the score. I also recall he ran over a Jags defender or two (or three or four) on a scramble for a TD and came up flexing lol. This was the infamous "he trash" game, comments courtesy of Jalen Ramsey. The dude has always had it. Credit to Beane and McDermott for installing the framework and structure that helped him succeed.
  3. I hate da Jets but those are sharp, especially with the tone of green they used.
  4. "Everyone eats" has been the offense's motto this season so I'm not sure if we'll see anyone top 1k since they're gonna be spreading the ball around so much. I'll give it a shot anyway: Kincaid: 80 receptions, 1050 yards, 7 TDs Shakir: 70 receptions, 950 yards, 5 TDs Samuel: 65 receptions, 800 yards, 5 TDs Coleman: 60 receptions, 750 yards, 11 TDs Knox: 40 receptions, 570 yards, 4 TDs Hollins: 35 receptions, 500 yards, 3 TDs Shavers: 30 receptions, 400 yards, 1 TD I dunno.
  5. Yeah, that seems to track with what some other guys have said, that there's just a more positive and relaxed vibe around the team. We know Diggs is "ultra competitive" but it sounds like he'd rely on that as an excuse to justify weenie-like behavior. That stuff only goes so far before people around you just get tired of it and feel like they have to walk on eggshells around you. Brady and Allen also don't have to worry about how to ensure he gets his ten targets per game or whatever.
  6. Uh, excuse me, sir. It's "Da Walmarts" and we go on Saddadays, according to my gram.
  7. I know Josh said he doesn't necessarily "miss" Diggs but he mentioned missing the production. I didn't see what Kincaid said tho, what was it?
  8. I was driving into downtown and saw what I figured was a water spout over by the lake as I got closer to the Skyway. It was pretty dark, the wind was whipping and the rain was coming down in buckets. That wasn't the most peculiar thing I saw today, tho. On my way back home I saw a pickup truck flipped over in a lot near the city mission. Didn't appear to be an accident or anything, just a truck on its face. Anyone else catch that? Wonder what happened.
  9. I was driving home from picking up one of the squirts from preschool around 1:30p and the 90 heading towards OP was already getting pretty swamped.
  10. He just seems really locked in, moreso than usual. I think that gives credence to the rumors that the friendship between him and Diggs went sour. It really felt like Allen, as well as the offense, kinda felt like they had to walk on eggshells around the guy. They had to gameplan where his 10 targets were gonna be and I think without that being factored in right now he just has more freedom in the offense. It's also been said he's taken more of a vocal leadership role and it just seems like he and Brady are really in sync with how to run this offense. I'm psyched for it. They have a really diverse group of offensive weapons and I think they're gonna surprise people.
  11. There does seem to be a positive vibe about this team right now. It was a bummer to see some longtime Bills move on but that's the business. I'm excited for these new guys to make their marks. I think they have some really solid pieces.
  12. The entire New York Jerks franchise. Tombob Squareface Kermit Mahomes...who apparently only knows one cadence and it goes "AAHH-BLOO AY-DEE, BLOO AY-DEE AHHUTHUT!!" Frogfaced SOB calls "Blue 80" more than Peyton Manning ever said "Omaha!" We'll round out this jerk fiesta with Bob Gronkasnotski...and that smug weasel Joolian Diddleman.
  13. "He's just an emotional guy." That stuff only goes so far. You can't always be swinging violently from one end of the mood spectrum to the other and not expect some of the people close to you are gonna think you're being a bit much.
  14. I remember reading some stuff just after he was drafted that kinda gave me a good feeling on him. Beane said that a number of other GMs texted/called to give him the business on selecting Shakir. Apparently, those short arms really brought his draft stock down as some GMs told Beane they were gonna snag him in the 6th or 7th, or make a lucrative UDFA offer. Just read the dudes scouting report. He's a McBeane Era Buffalo Bill to a T. One of those, "great player, better person" types. He has the leadership they covet, he appears to have positional versatility which they also go gaga for, he's a consummate teammate and professional and has a high football IQ. I actually wouldn't be surprised to see him with a C on his jersey this season.
  15. I dunno, but he owes me 12 bucks so he better pay up.
  16. I dunno, I don't think it's too shabby. Wish da Bills would make some kinda neat alternate.
  17. Me too, man. Heck I'll take $60 mill as a one time payment! You don't even have to keep paying me, just pay me once.
  18. Bills 2024 Camp Schedule Enter Lottery for Camp Tix Just thought I'd plop down those links here in case anyone missed the email. Ten years ago my buddy, who's mom works in the ticket office, hooked us up with VIP passes for camp. He used to go every year but the last few years I guess not even team employees are able to get tickets for camp, at least not as easily as they used to. How the turn tables....
  19. I feel like there's quite the overreaction from some about the McDermott article being a hit piece. Sounds to me like the dude just said something pretty dumb during a meeting and regretted it and it was later reported about by a sportswriter. Although, McD is the same fella that cornered Matthew Fairburn and got an little spicy with him over some things he wrote. I think they felt like he was sharing a bit too much from practices or something. I actually kinda know Tyler thru some different people and he's a solid dude just trying to create some solid pieces in a world saturated with clickbait and lazy reporting. I think people may also forget that Tyler was on the Bills beat for a while so they know him and someone like Beane doesn't seem to have much of an issue speaking with just about anyone. All that said, lemme know when we got the workaround for the article lol.
  20. Hang on a second, I'm looking for a crap to give...
  21. I told that kid he's not allowed back inside until he really thinks about what he did against KC.
  22. Rodgers looks like the type to can his own farts and bring them along for sniffies on his ayahuasca retreats.
  23. Pff, the guy isn't eating, sleeping and breathing football every waking moment of his life! This why we never gonna win da big one!! How dare this 6'5" turd of a "football player" do anything except football in his off time. It's a disgrace! Vacations?? Golf?! Shacking up with Hawkeye?!? Absurd and not even allowed in most foosball jurisdictions! How dare he. How dare all of he!
  24. Just a guess... Josh, obviously. I think this is the year all the stars and the C are in gold. How neato! I'd say Dawkins, Knox, maybe big Spence. I'll also throw one out for Shakir, dudes character and leadership were consistently brought up in his scouting reports and now he's suddenly the longest tenured Bill in the receiver room. I think. Right? Mush brains. Defensively, I can see the C on Bernard, like Shakir, his character and leadership were highly rated, he's also super smart from what I understand. Taron Johnson should get a C, he's consistently been one of their best defenders for some time now. I wouldn't be surprised if Von gets the C again. I wonder if maybe Groot would be one they'd consider for a captain spot. Special teams probably Mack Hollins. Maybe Baylon Spector? They seem to like him and I'd imagine if he doesn't totally crap the bed in camp he'll slot into the spot left by Matakevitch. Maybe Reid Ferguson too? He might be the longest tenured Bill overall at this point. Future C, definitely Cole Bishop. Maybe Kincaid too.
