  1. If Calvin Johnson didn't win it the year he racked up nearly 2000 receiving yards then I don't think Diggsy has much of a chance.
  2. He had no problem shaking Brees' hand after the Saints put a whoopin' on him. He's kind of a weenie. I'm glad someone finally spoke up about it. Seems like a trivial thing but everyone knows GD well that if Josh Allen snubbed Tommy after a loss, the media would eviscerate him for it. Sore loser Tom.
  3. I'm kinda on the fence about them. Sometimes I think they look cool, other times I don't really care for the monotone look.
  4. Definitely a game they should win but I'm still haunted by old memories of rookie QBs or backups coming off the bench and shredding them for one of the best games in their entire career. Granted, it's an entirely different Bills team and I hope McDermott and Frazier dial up some different things that Herbert hasn't seen. Bait him into making poor decisions.
  5. I agree that he's a bit underrated. I've often been confused when I see people wanting Norman starting over him. And it certainly seems like they might have something with Dane Jackson. Next season they should also have EJ Gaines back and while he's not an All-Pro or anything, he seems to play pretty well in this scheme. They'll likely sign a FA corner and draft one as well but I think it'll be round four or later when they do.
  6. All of us would love to see them finish on a 6-0 run and go 13-3... Not sure that'll be the case, tho. 12-4 seems attainable but I think 11-5 is the final mark.
  7. They probably should've just stuck it out with Fitz for the season because Tua ain't ready.
  8. I tried to get into that a few years back, mainly just content writing or SEO. What type of writing do you do? How'd you break into it? I recall contacting hundreds of businesses and websites and nada.
  9. Reorganizing the basement and continuing to get da nursery ready for our first lil guy due at the end of January.
  10. This is all just clickbait garbage. Dolphins are doing better than expected and their fancy rookie QB is playing, people are talking so writers get to writing.
  11. Yeah that one was a clunker but other than that I think this has been his best season yet. And for the crowd that thinks they oughta move on from him... uh, they've tried, but haven't found anyone able to do it better just yet. He can boom it he just needs to keep working to get more consistent.
  12. I would hang onto him but probably reduce his snaps and maybe carve out some specific pass rush packages for him. He's a great veteran leader, obviously his teammates respond to him and respect him given he earned the C this year. He's a model McDermott player, selfless, wants to win, team player, exhibits top notch practice and preparation habits, all things you want your younger guys to see and emulate.
  13. Newsflash: The other team is also full of professionals, and they WILL make plays. Jerry Hughes is a human being who WILL make mistakes or who will get faked out on a well executed play. This is football, it happens.
  14. Not really concerned, I think they just want a better balance on offense. And aside from the Niners game, they play their remaining schedule at home, Denver, and New England. So they might be thinking with the weather they can't throw it as much as they have been so they need the run game to be better because they're likely planning to lean on it a little more.
  15. I've said it a couple times now, if Sam Darnold is gonna succeed in the NFL, it will not be as a member of the New York Jets. I also think evaluators missed on him, his accuracy isn't as good as it was said to be.
  16. Well then why don't you enlighten us with the solution? Tear it all down and start all over again? Because you don't just swap out a single head coach in this league. A head coach gets the boot and usually his entire staff follows. The guy has intsalled a culture and changed the direction of this team after 17 years of futility where all they did was ride the coaching carousel every few years and blow up roster after roster. This dude gets hired and breaks the drought in his first season. Everyone knew 2018 was a mulligan, the "growing pains" season, if you will. A necessary evil to get to where they wanted to go, which was another playoff appearance on 2019. He's also drafted an All-Pro (Tre), a cornerstone linebacker (Milano), and a left tackle who is playing very close to an All-Pro level this season. He also had input on hiring Brandon Beane, who came in here and cleaned up a messy salary cap and dumped all sorts of bad contracts, made trades, signed quality free agents, reinforced a shaky OL, reinforced the WR group from one of the worst in the league to one of the best, oh and he found the all important franchise quarterback. And that franchise quarterback has taken incredible steps forward, due in large part to his coaches who were...lemme see here, ah yes, those same coaches that were hired by Sean McDermott. This season, they lose several pieces on defense and then over half their starters are grinding through injuries. It happens. On the flip side, the offense has gone from struggling to put up 20 points a game to putting up 30 or more five times this year. On top of all that, Sean McDermott is a friggin' human being incapable of perfection and incapable of having all the answers, just like anyone else. And he's still learning, obviously. And what's great about him is he isn't a "set in his ways" type of coach, he's constantly working to better himself and will implement new methods if they benefit him or the team. But what he's done with this team in just over 2.5 seasons cannot be understated. This franchise spun their tires in the mud for 17 years until McDermott took over and finally got the thing moving forward. Team is 7-3, primed to win a division, playing with confidence and belief in themselves that I haven't seen since the 90s teams. They lose a game by two points on a last second fluke play, I mean, it happens. Sucks? Sure does. I choose to believe that game ended when Diggs caught the go-ahead TD, dang it. So what's the alternative? That's the thing people never seem to have in mind when they start doubting players and coaches. I'll stick with what they have right now.
  17. They've said it a few times now that they're still developing an identity on defense. They lost a big time leader in Lorenzo, they lose Star who does the dirty work, they lose Shaq who does very well setting the edge. They lose Jordan Phillips who, IMO, isn't the worst loss, most of his 9.5 sacks last season can be credited to the secondary. And then there are a slew of players grinding through injuries, Edmunds, Tre, Wallace, Hyde, Poyer, and of course Milano who is a cornerstone piece to this defense. Addison and Hughes are solid players but they're both 32 or 33 and that's around the time when guys begin to lose a step. Quinton Jefferson hasn't been very noticeable, Harrison Phillips is struggling (is he still not quite right from the knee injury?), Ed Oliver is creating pressures a lot of times but not quite getting the sack or TFL, all sorts of things. It's tough for sure. They have the new guys and then they have to adjust for injuries and that type of stuff can take away from the chemistry teams can create. This is the most roster overturn they've had on defense in the McBeane era and I think it's just a long process to figure out the best lineup, the best way to maximize skill sets, the situations where players can be most successful, a lot goes into it. My hope is that they come back after the bye recharged and ready to knock out these last six games with sweet sweet victory. I expect the Beaneman to work diligently in the off-season to upgrade the defense.
  18. I'd say that the offense knew that they were rolling with hurry up right after that play so I'm sure all the players were thinking they had to get up on the line and get ready. They trusted the refs with the call and the guys upstairs probably didn't get enough time to look at it before the ball was snapped for the next play. I don't really think anyone is directly at fault. Again, with the way it played out it seems like the playcall was, "Get on the line and get ready as soon as this play is over cause we're going hurry up."
  19. A real pre-season quality barnburner.
  20. And I don't wanna hear anything about, "Oh, the Seahawks have the worst defense in the league" I don't care, they came into the game 6-1. Josh Allen did exactly what a franchise QB does against a shoddy defense, took advantage and punched them right in the mouth.
  21. I was eleven, and at this point in the year I was probably getting psyched for the holidays.
  22. Yeah that's why I said numerous instead of all the time haha. Sunday was brutal. A number of plays where I was just like, "Is he weak or something? He's got guys wrapped up and they just run right out of it, ugh." Hopefully Milano is off the pitch count this week and is a full go.
  23. I think the Ravens put seven or eight players on their COVID list today after Marlon Humphrey tested positive today.
