I know he's not a player but I couldn't stand Tom Donahoe and his stupid weasel face and his stupid personnel decisions and his big stupid inability to operate a pro football franchise. As for players, I try to give them a chance. If they suck on the field I'm not gonna waste my time and energy hating them, I'm just gonna hope they get replaced. Players that irritate me are the ones causing drama and bullcrap either on or off the field. The one type of player that really gets on my nerves is the one that will celebrate any sort of accomplishment. You know the type, a DB who jumps up and folds his arms like "Aw yeah, not gettin' no catches on me today!" while the reason for the incompletion is the QB zipped it a mile wide or whatever. Or the guys who get crazy when they're down by 30. "My team is down by 34 and there's two minutes to go but I just got this first down, lemme do a dance!" Or the linebacker who makes a TFL when his teams down by 40 and he jumps up like, "I am the greatest tackling machine ever!" It's like, shaddap. You know those types of guys are just in it for themselves at that point. Team guys in those situations make the play and just go straight back to the huddle because what's to celebrate if you're not gonna win? But in conclusion...Tom Donahoe and his stupid rat face. Edit: Cripes, I forgot about OJ. I don't give a crap what he did on the field, I wish his name was eradicated from the entire NFL let alone the Bills franchise. He's literal human garbage.

Nice work! It can be tough to come up with a consensus of best players just because there's so many resources out there now. I remember the days where I'd hit up the magazine section in the supermarket and find a couple of draft guides and follow along with those. Nowadays everyone and their mama got a draft website. I actually had an idea for a draft analysis website a while back. It would poll together player rankings from all over the web and then it would determine the average rank of each player. That way, you'd be able to look at one list and know that Website A ranks him as the #2 CB in the class, Website B has him at 4, so on and so forth and you'd be able to see that the player, on average, would rank 3rd on most analysts lists. I still think it's not the worst idea, I just have no idea how to develop it. And now that I've babbled about it on here, someone gonna steal mah intellectual property! So uh, I trademark, copyright, and give the little circled R sign to this idea. Any of y'all steal it and the Underpants Gnomes gonna be on yo case!

What a turd. Plenty of people have spoken on the possible reasoning behind criminal actions of NFL players and want to see the NFL do something about this kind of thing...they do try. Every year they hold the rookie symposium where there are a number of seminars to help the next wave of players transition to the NFL. They have plenty of former players with cautionary tales come and talk about a variety of different things; how to handle your money, how to handle people around you now that you have money, your role as a player in the community, how easy it can be to slip down a rabbit hole of idiocy by believing your own bullcrap and seeing yourself as above others, how to avoid getting roped into stupid situations, how to handle personal relationships, etc. They offer a lot of information and knowledge for these guys. The players paying attention in these seminars are likely already stand-up individuals with little to no character concerns. It's the guys that skip or sleep through these seminars that end up in the news for stuff like this. Morons.

That's a good pickup. He was rated pretty highly coming out of college. Saw plenty of mocks here that had him going to the Bills. Hopefully it's just been injuries that have stunted his career a bit. He played every snap last season for the Chargers so that's a positive sign. I still think it's Ford and Feliciano at the two guard spots but this dude could give either one a run for their money if he catches onto the scheme quickly and all that.

The dude never lacked for character. I always liked how he was basically like, "Fine me, whatever. I'mma do me and that's that." He gives a ton back to his community. I think I might've read that he's been doing the commercials lately because he ends up taking most of the paycheck he gets from them and puts it towards his charitable work.

Newsome is the guy I keep coming back to for them. I think he'll be there at 30 and I can't say I'm super well informed on his game but maybe they see him as the big nickel they've been after? He's a smart player and fits very well in their scheme. I think I'm mostly good with whoever they take at 30. I'm trying to figure out the best value at that spot and it'll depend on how the board falls. But as of now, I think the DT and DE classes aren't great so I'd maybe steer clear at 30. I don't think they value RB that high unless they really think the world of whatever back they're interested in. Same for WR. The position I'd look for is DB of some kind. Maybe even LB, if they find a fast coverage type guy, because we know these days how seldomn teams play three LBs. In short, I have no idea where they're going with this one.

Good for him. Maybe Carolina will actually give a crap and try to surround him with talent. They must believe they're just a QB away from contending, I guess? I've said it before with Darnold and it's just my own speculation but I don't think the guy is that passionate about football. I'm sure he loves it and enjoys playing but he's not a natural leader, teammates don't seem to gravitate towards him. And he seems pretty indifferent whether he plays good or "sees ghosts" he's kinda just like meh either way. Louis Riddick was at war on the Twitters last week because everyone was talking about a throw Zach Wilson had at his pro day (rolling left and launching it the opposite direction 60 yards downfield) and Riddick found a clip of Darnold doing close to the same thing in a game. Rolls left, throws back the other direction and hits a guy for 35 or 40. Riddick was all about it being a million times more impressive than Wilson because it was done in a game situation. I really wish I would've replied with Darnold throwing the pick to Milano in the opener last season. He rolled left and tried to stick it back towards the middle of the field and Milano just drifted back and snagged it. I would've said "Here's another time he tried that stuff...didn't go so well." I guess I can't blame the kid for trying to make something happen. It's clear he never had any real support in that organization. And did anyone see the tweet where the guy recapped all Jets first round picks since 2011? Every single one either traded or cut. And they have over 10 picks in these next two drafts with two first rounders in each and I gotta tell ya I just can't wait to see them screw it up. I hope they remain and eternal dumpster fire.

I don't recall the specifics but without Ralph Wilson, the Raiders organization likely goes under within the early years of the AFL. Ralph gave Davis a loan to help him keep things afloat.

Lot of games already mentioned that I would have pointed out. The Texans game where Losman launched those two 83 yard TDs to Evans and then achieved the comeback at the end. Of course there some heartbreakers I recall. The Monday night Dallas game in 2007 (I think?) where they let it slip away at the end. And then the Leodis McKelvin fumblerooski in the 2009 opener against New England. It was the "Tedy Bruschi returns!" game and Buffalo had the lead all the way until the final drive but you never would've known because the commentary team was relentless in their praise for all things Bruschi and the Pats. That game right there began my habit of completely ignoring all pre and most post-game shows (I'll watch Football Night in America on Sunday evenings just to catch the highlights from other games) and most commentary. There was also the Miami Christmas Eve game in 2016 where they were "in the hunt" and went back and forth at the end, eventually forcing OT where they'd lose. Ended up being meaningless because they got spanked by the Jets the next week. I was at the 2003 home opener where they whooped NE 31-0. Oddly enough, NE beat Buffalo by the same exact score to end that season. They started super hot that year, with the big win over NE and then they handled Jacksonville 38-17, and then they crapped right out and only won four more games all year. I was at the 2014 Packers game. That one felt like they were gonna finally turn the corner and end the drought but they went and laid an egg against Oakland the following week and that was it. I recall the Jordy Nelson drop quite clearly. I remember seeing him get behind the secondary and he was 100% home free for the TD so I was like, "Aw crap, here's where they take over" but then he dropped it. And Rodgers threw two uncharacteristic picks to ol' Broccoli Rambo. Team finished 9-7 and the Douggernaught himself told everyone he'd come back in 2015 renewed and ready to go and then that same night he flat out quit lol. Pro Football Reference is an amazing database, btw. I just went season by season on the Bills starting in 2000 when the drought began and holy schnikes, nearly every team had trouble putting points up. Many years they finished in the bottom five in total points scored. Even in the McDermott era the highest they finished (until last season of course where their 502 points was a franchise record and good for 2nd in the NFL) was 22nd in 2017. 30th in 2018, and 23rd in 2019. Good gravy, thank the foosball gods that the days of squeaking by with a 19-17 victory and never having a QB break 300 yards are (I hope) over for a long time. Last season was incredible because we hadn't seen an offense like that since the early 90s. And I was like, "So this is what a real NFL offense looks like!" It's crazy to go from years of, "Ah crap they're down by 6 in the 4th, it's over" to...well, they had the lead in so many games last season they didn't really have to come from behind but knowing they can score on any drive is a nice feeling. Go Bills!

If there were any real way to move up and take Kyle Pitts, that'd be awesome. But they don't have the ammo to get up in the top ten where he's gonna go. Other than that I'm not real attached to any one prospect. I think if there's a dynamic offensive player hanging around at 30 then that could be the pick. It's more of a gamble this year than usual because of the opt outs.

Even if he's there at 30, I'm not sure Bills go that way, unless they think he has the versatility to play inside. If they go OL early I think it's gonna be a C/G prospect maybe in the second or third. The usual criteria the Bills want in their draft picks are experience, leadership, maturity, character, consistency, and versatility. Any players that fit those traits are likely high on their radar. Oh, and if they're a former wrestler then that helps too, haha. Wyatt Hubert, DE out of Kansas State would be one to watch in the mid-late rounds. I wanna say one of the top DBs has a wrestling background as well but I can't recall who.

Now here's a guy who plays the football, Al. He puts on the shoulder pads and he goes, "Hey, I'm coming for you, Mr. Quarterback Man!" He's a guy who does the tackles and tonight he'll have to do the tackles a lot if he wants to help his team not suck. Crisp Cobblinsworth.

Happens almost every year with the QBs. Teams target a guy and then the smokescreens and the rumors go out and teams get nervous that their guy isn't gonna make it to them so they start to wheel and deal to move up. And then some poor kid gets way overdrafted and ends up struggling to be the face of some franchise that pushes him into that spot. With the WRs, it's now one of the premier positions kids wanna play. Especially now that more and more college teams adapt to the pass-happy offenses where they really want two big time receivers on the boundaries. Some teams get lucky and end up with two kids that will go onto be an NFL teams #1 (the LSU guys come to mind, Jefferson up in Minnesota, and Chase to Cincinnati if Joey B gets his way). And the classes lately have been pretty stacked which I also think creates these first round runs on the position.

I think once the main five OL really sync in and lock it down we'll see some improvement. It's good to have continuity but last season only Dawkins started all 19 games (regular season + three postseason games). Feliciano was sidelined until mid-season, Ford went out early, it took Boettger a while to get up to speed, and Winters is...a guy, and then Morse missed a game or two, etc. I'm not sure who the starting five will be (my guess is Dawkins, Ford, Morse, Feliciano, Williams) but if they get time to gel together we should see some improvement. On a side note, I wonder if anyone working for the Bills (or any team, really) ever sees one of these guys like Cover1 and thinks, "Huh, can't believe we didn't factor that in." I mean, I'm certain most teams are already crunching every number that can be crunched. But these freelance analysts sometimes come up with some wild stats and I've just kinda always wondered if there are any coaches or execs out there that pay attention to some of the stuff these guys crank out.

Checked out his highlights and can see why they like him. Great balance and vision, hard to bring down and seems to always find some positive yards. He lines up out wide sometimes so he's a part of the passing game. Big dude too. I wouldn't hate the pick at 30 or maybe a few spots down into the 2nd if they think he'll be there. Get your guy and a few extra picks, that's never a bad thing.

Yep. I end up saying or agreeing with whoever said this a lot. Roman can scheme up a heck of a run game but his passing game is lacking, and it always has. That's what got him booted out of San Francisco and Buffalo. Wherever he goes, that team becomes #1 in rush attempts and dead last in pass attempts. And I've seen more than a few players say that it's not too difficult to defend his passing schemes. Roman always seems to catch fire early on with whatever team he ends up on, but within a season or two, teams really start to figure out what he's doing and eventually his stuff stops working. I wonder if we'll see that this season in Baltimore.

Good call, dude! It's a solid play for him but the main thing I noticed was how Brady was able to pull the ball down in mid-windup and not fumble as he's getting sacked. Even if he had fumbled in that manner they would've said, "No, no fumble! Tommy tuck rule!!"

DL, whether it's inside or outside they gotta get younger there. I know this group of DE and edge guys doesn't have any standouts, most guys are gonna need some time. I'm not sure on DT. Maybe they like the Barmore kid from Bama? Admittedly I haven't read up too much on the prospects this season.

I think they saw his pro day numbers and said, "Dang it, he just moved himself beyond our range. Get on the horn with Mckenzie's people."

The one reason I think this Bills team can have sustained success is the culture. This is a real team. These guys care about one another and they're really all unified in their goal of winning it all. I don't think you can say the same about the other teams. Up in New England they just want machines, not people. Flores is trying to get a culture installed in Miami but he's not helping his players trust him by his back and forth BS last season with Fitz and Tua. And the Jets...as long as Woody Johnson owns that team they're gonna be dumpster turds.

There's a difference in perception of Darnold between the analysts/media and coaches/execs/scouts in the league. This guy here asked around and this was one of the responses: He goes on to highlight how a former GM would have Darnold as QB4 in this draft class. He also points out how guys like Fitz and Tyrod were signed and a trade for Wentz happened while there's been zero on any sort of news of Darnold being moved. I didn't really see it when he was coming out of USC. He's accurate, but I think his arm, his reading of the defense and his pocket awareness are all average or below. I also don't think he has that hyped up sense of competitiveness you see in a lot of guys. It doesn't look like teammates gravitate towards him or rally around him. He's just kinda there. I'm sure he's a good kid and a nice guy I just think he ended up getting a bit overrated.
