  1. You could make 'em all wear concrete shoes... that'd probably slow them down some... oh, it has to be within the confines of the game? Ah... then I got.... yeah, I got nothin'.
  2. Groot kinda reminds me of Josh a little bit in that he was this huge athletic freak of a dude who had the skills, just needed them to be refined. To have someone like Von Miller right there alongside you has to be awesome as a young player. Dude has to be learning so much and it seems like he's applying everything the right way because the results are becoming evident.
  3. Stand up for the big plays obviously, but yeah, I paid to see the game, not your back or the crack'a yo a$$. It gets irritating when people just refuse to sit down. It's like... wow, a first and ten draw up the middle for three, better start doing backflips!
  4. And unless Singletary puts a stranglehold on the RB1 job like he did last season, they're likely to let him walk in FA. Not that they don't like the dude, I'm sure they do, but they don't value RB very highly and will likely always look to have at least one back on a rookie deal. They have Moss and now Cook behind him. They've been waiting two seasons now for Moss to breakout and show he can be the guy they want him to be but so far he's been a bit of a bust. I mean, you can argue that the backs don't get as much of a chance to carry the ball given how often they throw it but you'd think the guy would make a bit more out of the touches he has gotten. But if it's me, and Moss just doesn't seem to take that next step while Singletary continues being very reliable then I'm probably cutting Moss and re-signing Singletary.
  5. This guy with the google, thanks. For some reason I thought the 2008 SB was the Cards vs. Steelers but that would mean the Cards would've played the SB at home and that didn't happen until Tampa Bay a couple years ago. That was a good one, tho. I checked out the stadium on Wikipedia, it's now named State Farm Stadium, and it's nickname is "The Big Toaster" which is quite fitting.
  6. Out of all the new super-stadiums that have opened up in the recent years, University at Phoenix Stadium is still an architectural gem. Think it may have been the first or one of the first NFL stadiums with the retractable roof and the ability to roll out the entire field and set down a different surface allows versatility. Seems like most new stadiums would follow something similar, they just seem to really have nailed it with that one. They've hosted the Super Bowl what, three times now since it opened in the mid 2000s? (I'm certain my numbers are off here but I'm a lazy dillhole who doesn't wanna google right now).
  7. That was also my thought. Saw the video and said to myself, "Geez, dude went down like he got shot."
  8. I'd imagine it can only go one of two ways, one being, "You're too hurt to play, we can't clear you" and Hyde is like, "Nah man, I ain't that hurt" OR it's vice-versa and the team docs are saying, "Everything looks good" with Hyde saying, "Nah, something's wrong."
  9. What the eff. You should have to turn in your username. Einstein would never admit such a thing. And no, nobody misses being the complete and total definition of mid. I might have a fondness for some of the players from those times but that’s it. They had some fun games but I’ll take playoffs and legitimate chances to win a championship over a mid team like the 2011 Bills who’s “Super Bowl” happened week three of that season.
  10. That's a really awesome stat. They've fully stuck to their mantra of "draft > develop > extend." Also, I think it gets glossed over sometimes but ownership deserves credit for hiring these guys and then completely stepping aside to let them run the show. They also realized that it all needed to be torn down back in 2017. Year after year we saw them spin their tires in the mud. Didn't matter the coach or GM when the team building was always just patching things up to try and contend only to be the definition of mid for almost 20 years. Credit to them for allowing Beane and McDermott to come in and really wipe the slate clean. And stats like these are also why I always just SMH whenever someone tries to criticize Beane. If I finished the comment right there I would surely get a response about, "Wellll, I mean... Zay Jones and Cody Ford..." blah blah frickin' blah. No GM has a perfect batting average. There are going to be some misses. But, ya know, nobody really cares when someone strikes out once or twice after they've blasted the last ten pitches over the fence. They've also given second contracts to at least one player from each of their draft classes (sans 2020 and 2021 of course). Tre, Dawkins, and Milano all got re-upped. Josh from 2018 and we'll see on Tremaine (I'm hopeful), and then Knox got re-signed this year with Ed likely up next. I can't remember any previous time in my 32 years as a Bills fan where that's happened. Fairly certain Gabe Davis is gonna get a bag so that'd be at least one from 2020 and then I really think Groot is gonna be something special, really feels like something is brewing there with that kid, so I anticipate him getting a fat deal in the next four years.
  11. Send me money Send me green Heaven you will meet Make a contribution and you'll get a better seat
  12. I gotta think the Ravens game was an anomaly from Miami. I would hope any team would be able to take advantage of how wide friggin' open Baltimore was leaving everyone. They went up a few scores and thought they could go in cruise control and ride it out. Phins were obviously desperate and pushing for points and big plays and it was like the Ravens said, "Oh, don't mind us, you go right on ahead!" Yeah, it was a good day for the Phins O but I definitely see that game being a result of Baltimore's craptastic defense rather than Tua suddenly morphing into a world beater. All that to say... I don't think he's gonna have as good of a day against the Bills. For once, I liked what the talking heads were saying during the game last night, about how Frasier and the defensive staff understand their flaws and liabilities and focus on those things because they know that's what they opponent will focus on. I feel like they'll probably disguise a lot of coverages to get Tua confused and holding onto the ball a tick longer with the front four creating constant pressure. Throw in some unique blitzes too, just keep them guessing. Sometimes I feel like, "uh oh, this opponent is playing really good... I hope the defense can stop them" and then I remember, "Well, even if they struggle, there's this dude named Josh Allen that Miami will have to try and stop..." and then I feel all warm and fuzzy in mah tum tums.
  13. It's been really remarkable how Von Miller has unlocked the potential of this DL. Just about everyone has had a splash play. Von with two big sacks vs. the Rams, Groot's got a sack in each game and a couple TFL's, AJ's got a sack and a half, big Jordan has one or two, Ed was looking great before the injury, I hope that doesn't hamper him all year. Boogie got the fumble recovery last night, everyone's contributing, love to see it. As for Epenesa, I don't think he'll ever be a super flashy player with big numbers but if he can be a steady, solid player for them, then that's great. The word on him coming out of Iowa was that he didn't do anything that wowed you but he has the skills and talent to play for a long time.
  14. I remember this one. I would've been about seven years old. I recall my dad and my grandpa talking about how it was like "When they finally beat the Fish!" and I had no idea about the 1970s dominance Miami had over Buffalo at that time. So I always thought this game was some monumental victory because it was the game where they finally beat the Fish! But that was two years before I was born with ol' Fergie.
  15. Youse play to win da game!
  16. It was nuts, they were leaving guys wide open with nobody in a ten yard radius at times.
  17. Those comments...eesh...just kinda reaffirm the criticisms he gets that he's limited. He's gotta be able to adapt and find throwing lanes, or they can create visibility for him by moving him around and out of the pocket on some plays. I dunno, saying hey I'm small and can't see so run around until you see me, but also make sure I see you and then yeah I can throw you da ball...that's uh...like I said, it reaffirms that he's limited and you can only do so much with his skill set. McDaniel is creative and Hill and Waddle are good but even with that I don't think it'll compensate for Tua's shortcomings.
  18. And don't forget he let the clock wind down from 54 seconds to 20 with a timeout remaining. He'll be one and done. Some Broncos fans were saying the offense looked better than ever... I'm gonna assume their previous offenses were downright abysmal because all I saw on Monday night was constant confusion and delay of game penalties because they couldn't get their crap together.
  19. Western New York Two Bills Drive GameDay Pork Siesta?
  20. At least it's well done. It's just a style of art from the 40s. Also, Brownie gonna fumble if he keeps carrying the ball like that.
  21. When I think about it, I believe they can hang with anyone as long as they execute. I still get weird feelings during games. Old ghosts from the drought era. Stuff like the Bills taking a lead late in the game only for the defense to give up the tying/winning score on the next drive. All those seasons of watching those defenses give an opponent 20 when it was 3rd and 19. They were the definition of mid during those years. But even now with all the firepower this team has I still get those stupid doubts like, "Oh man... they're gonna blow this lead!" But the cool thing now, is that when I think of that, I just remember, "Well, if they do score they have to give the ball back to Josh Allen..." Since Josh's rookie year I've had the sense about him that he's just a gamer. In his first couple years it wasn't always pretty but the dude would just find a way game in and game out (mainly in 2019 as 2018 was the "take your lumps" year but even then you could see the 'never say die' attitude he had). Now, he's a gamer, and everything is really pretty. His progression has been amazing to watch. But yeah...there are times it just feels like they're unstoppable on offense and then the defense gets in there and whereas in years past they were getting pressure on the QB consistently, they had a hard time getting home for the sack. Now with Von here they're feasting. When both sides are playing on fire like that it provides such a spark for the team.
  22. I saw Jerry's highlights. TBH I completely forgot he signed with Houston... which makes sense because I think that's where he's from/lives. Someone over on the Bills subreddit was lamenting the loss of Howard and pointed out his two TDs and it's like... yay? Good for him, I hope he does well. He may have had a bit of luck in that the Colts obviously couldn't game-plan for him, ya know how sometimes when a backup QB comes in and lights it up because the D isn't prepared for that guy? Something like that. I was hoping he'd work out here but that Achilles injury has really affected him.
  23. I just love the nod from Tremaine. It's just like, "Yeah, that's what he does, man. This just another day for Josh." But then he caught the reply and went, "Aw that guy had a family..."
  24. Wow, they're a confident bunch aren't they? I think I said in another thread that I found it kinda funny Miami seemed to have some kind of swagger after beating the dumpster fire Patriots. Confidence is one thing, I guess... but they do indeed have the thrower of the prettiest balls in all the land with Tua Tagabaggadonuts down there.
