  1. Aw man, I heard that's his good horse riding foot.
  2. But I already bought the mat...
  3. I don't get as concerned as many others do. The dude is 6'5" 250 lbs, he's bigger than all DBs and most LBs. Just listen to some defenders about him. Darius Leonard said he hit the dude with everything he had and he got ran over anyway. Joey Bosa during a game was like "What am I supposed to do, let him run me over? He's f@$#in' huge!" I mean yeah I'd rather he not get walloped by DL as big as he is but that's part of the game and he knows how and when to protect himself. I also find it kind of odd that nearly every time Josh takes off for a run there has to be chatter about "oh he needs to be careful, he could get hurt, coach won't like that one!" Yet when Lamar Jackson is out there racking up 125 yards on the ground every game everyone's just, "Wow what an amazing player he is, the running is such a big part of his game!" I mean for cripes sake the Ravens redesigned their entire offense because of his running ability. I'm sure they're concerned about injury as well but it seems like you never hear much about that. But noted Monstar Josh Allen trucks over a 5'10" 185 lb DB and it's yappidy yap from 37 talking heads about how he needs to be careful.
  4. You know that's not how any of this works, man! Bills could win the Super Bowl with a game more perfect than the Wild Card game against the Pats and some knucklehead would be like "yeah but the defense allowed 5 first downs and I'm concerned."
  5. I got uh, lemme see here...a secret decoder ring from the gumball machine I got at Ames in 1987. I've got a used car mat. One slinky. A broken VCR and a sock full of nickels. The Backyard Fat Guys have signed Lamar Jackson.
  6. One of them new hybrid "rass" plays originated by King Shorts back in the 2021 Wild Card game against Indy. He's gonna run it, wait no he's not, he's throwing it.
  7. Something I always see a lot of numbers people and stat-heads yap about is quantity... how many receptions for how many yards, etc. etc. They oughta mention quality as well. Some dudes end up with 100 receptions a year and 50 of them are five yard little dump-offs behind the line. Some guys might only have 65 receptions but like 10 of them went for TDs, 28 went for first downs, etc. I feel like that sometimes gets overlooked.
  8. Well this is pleasant news amongst the pro wrestling mess from this week, which I only mention because I'm going to AEW Dynamite tonight up at KeyBank. Anywho, the Beane-McDermott draft > develop > extend has yielded... -Tre White -Dion Dawkins -Matt Milano -Josh Allen -Taron Johnson -Siran Neal -Dawson Knox -Reggie Gilliam I'd imagine guys like Edmunds and Oliver are next in line for an extension. Maybe even late round guys like Jaquan Johnson who they seem pretty high on. And I think this season will determine whether they keep Singletary or Moss.
  9. I mean maybe he's pointing to the Jacksonville game? But the team as a whole didn't perform well that day. I'd say all QBs get fooled now and then. But I wouldn't say "routinely" for Josh, not based on watching him his entire career and seeing the steady improvements in his game. Also, go watch that half hour chat he had with Chris Simms last week. Lot of great insight on how the dude thinks and sees things out there. Sounds way too informed and intelligent to be a guy who's "routinely" tricked by disguised coverages. Also, I heard Steven Ruiz talking about Josh's mama, therefore the dude is a bum.
  10. All in all a pretty fair assessment. Belichunks has never drafted well and his assistant coaches often don't succeed on other teams. Every now and then they develop a mid to late round guy or an undrafted guy. Can't say the ol Hoodie isn't one of the all time greats but Brady made up for so much on those teams over the years. Allowed Belichunks to always focus more on defense and if things with the offense didn't look so hot on paper they'd just shurg and go "meh we still have Tom" and just roll the dice with whatever they had on offense.
  11. I was watching a breakdown video he did on the run game and I started to feel like Jules in Pulp Fiction, except it wasn’t “Say ‘what’ one more GD time!” It was, “Say ‘north and south’ one more GD time!” He dropped the term every 30 seconds, it became irritating enough for me to ditch the video. His stuff isn’t bad, he knows the X’s and O’s, he did that online scouting academy thing, but I don’t think much of his delivery.
  12. I had a similar thought, dunno when it could happen but if Jimmy's hanging around he might be thinking he's gonna wind up the starter again sometime down the road.
  13. I was scrolling through a list of all cuts around the league and I zipped past Cleveland and I see what my eyes tell me is, "OL Wyatt Teller" and I was like, WTF?! Nope, it was an OL named Wyatt Miller, lol.
  14. Had to happen. Can't have that kind of drama hanging over the team. Media are like sharks, that's all they'd ask about. Keeping him around just continues the distraction and you can see it's already affected McDermott. Can't have it. Especially with the type of culture they're always preaching.
  15. You're a suspect in my missing burrito case so who's really guilty here fella
  16. Gracias. Yeah, I didn't read about the Araiza news until this morning. Whether or not the kid is innocent I think you've gotta cut him. It's just so gross and heinous to have that kind of black cloud hanging over the team. Let alone the poor woman who suffered, yeesh. Sorry, Matt, you done f*%@$d up. Especially on a team led by culture king Sean McDermott, can't have that stuff.

  18. I can see what you're saying, just boot it thru the EZ every time. I'm sure there are times kickers just don't quite get all of it and it's a returnable ball. But I'm also sure there are times the ST coach might want the kick to be returnable for a number of reasons. Maybe the returner has bobbled the previous kick and they're thinking maybe they'll get a turnover. The other reason I could think is maybe they feel they could pin them back behind the 25 yard line and give them a longer field. Also, once the returner catches the ball, the clock starts which would be handy if your team was ahead with a few seconds to go and wanted to leave the opponent with as little time as possible. I'm trying super hard to figure out a game where that happened tho and I just can't seem to come up with anything....
  19. This thread brought up a lot of names I haven't seen in a while. I started posting on the old Bills board back in like 2002. I was bummed when they closed down the Bills forums. They did it on my birthday no less haha. They wanted everyone to be on their social media instead. That's when I jumped over here. I'd know about it for quite a while but the official Bills forum was always more active at that time. This is usually a pretty good place. There are times when it devolves into insanity and people wanna pile on the team about something but that's pretty common with any team forums.
  20. Your first line there echo my sentiments quite a bit with how I felt after this game. The offense just seems to operate so smoothly and with a lot of confidence. I mean, when things are rolling the way they’re supposed to, they’re great…and then when the play breaks down, it’s even better sometimes. You can tell Allen and the WR group have great chemistry. They see Josh moving around to avoid pressure and they instantly know where to go and try to get open for him and if he spots them it’s a 35 yard laser beam for a TD.
  21. Good grief. I mean, I understand teams are going to hype their players up, that's just part of the gig. But the Dolphins have hyped Tua up to a point where if he doesn't come out and look like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Pat Mahomes, and Josh Allen combined he'll be labeled a disappointment. I've never seen so much BS surrounding a QB. They're overselling the dude at this point. Maybe that's the goal. Maybe they're like, "Well, we really coached him up and did a good job but there's just no substitute for game situations and he's uh, he's just really struggling right now. That said, our starter next week is Neil O'Donnell."
  22. It's me. I got a really good technique, anytime he tries to get past me I just punch him straight in the groin.
  23. Yikes on bikes, man. Can't even imagine. Heart goes out to him and his family.
  24. It's gone a bit wonky for sure. I'm not exactly sure what people expect anymore. There are times I read comments from some people here and you'd think what they want is an All-Pro top five player at every single position and then second team All-Pro top twenty players as backups. It's absurd. Every team deals with depth issues. I personally feel like they're fine at WR. Diggs has been nothing but consistent. Davis takes over at WR2 and I think he's more than ready and will be fine. McKenzie definitely seems like he's solidified the slot. Crowder isn't a terrible Plan B by any means. Shakir looked great in the first preseason game, can't look too far ahead after one game but his versatility opens things up for them. Hodgins was said to have some of the best hands of the 2020 WR prospects and he's finally healthy and getting a shot. And then it seems like people forget that Knox, Howard, and Cook will be regular targets and then Singletary and Moss both do fine catching the checkdowns. I dunno, I guess I prefer to be optimistic and chat about the positives. Life's too short to be dissecting the roster and camp reports and GM quotes and all that stuff just so one can jump on here and post all the things they think prove them right. People have such a weird desire for validation.
