  1. Western New York Two Bills Drive GameDay Pork Siesta?
  2. At least it's well done. It's just a style of art from the 40s. Also, Brownie gonna fumble if he keeps carrying the ball like that.
  3. When I think about it, I believe they can hang with anyone as long as they execute. I still get weird feelings during games. Old ghosts from the drought era. Stuff like the Bills taking a lead late in the game only for the defense to give up the tying/winning score on the next drive. All those seasons of watching those defenses give an opponent 20 when it was 3rd and 19. They were the definition of mid during those years. But even now with all the firepower this team has I still get those stupid doubts like, "Oh man... they're gonna blow this lead!" But the cool thing now, is that when I think of that, I just remember, "Well, if they do score they have to give the ball back to Josh Allen..." Since Josh's rookie year I've had the sense about him that he's just a gamer. In his first couple years it wasn't always pretty but the dude would just find a way game in and game out (mainly in 2019 as 2018 was the "take your lumps" year but even then you could see the 'never say die' attitude he had). Now, he's a gamer, and everything is really pretty. His progression has been amazing to watch. But yeah...there are times it just feels like they're unstoppable on offense and then the defense gets in there and whereas in years past they were getting pressure on the QB consistently, they had a hard time getting home for the sack. Now with Von here they're feasting. When both sides are playing on fire like that it provides such a spark for the team.
  4. I saw Jerry's highlights. TBH I completely forgot he signed with Houston... which makes sense because I think that's where he's from/lives. Someone over on the Bills subreddit was lamenting the loss of Howard and pointed out his two TDs and it's like... yay? Good for him, I hope he does well. He may have had a bit of luck in that the Colts obviously couldn't game-plan for him, ya know how sometimes when a backup QB comes in and lights it up because the D isn't prepared for that guy? Something like that. I was hoping he'd work out here but that Achilles injury has really affected him.
  5. I just love the nod from Tremaine. It's just like, "Yeah, that's what he does, man. This just another day for Josh." But then he caught the reply and went, "Aw that guy had a family..."
  6. Wow, they're a confident bunch aren't they? I think I said in another thread that I found it kinda funny Miami seemed to have some kind of swagger after beating the dumpster fire Patriots. Confidence is one thing, I guess... but they do indeed have the thrower of the prettiest balls in all the land with Tua Tagabaggadonuts down there.
  7. It's a bummer for Dak. McCarthy, however...I dunno how that schmuck has a jorb.
  8. Maybe the Vikings did play pretty well but my first thought was, "Yeesh, Green Bay is playing like hot garbage." Their first offensive play pretty much doomed them for the day. The rookie Christian Watson wide open down the sideline, Rodgers drops it on a dime for him and plop, dude dropped it. Rodgers looked towards the sideline with just disbelief in his eyes like, "Well where the heck else can I put it for the kid? That was perfect and he stonehands it." Also, Kirk Cousins is a tool.
  9. I hope they punch those Titan jerks right in the groin.
  10. Yeesh, this game is kind of the pits. Dak and injuries, man. Who da heck is his backup? Also...how did Mike McCarthy get another HC job? Dude is about as lively as a loaf of Wonderbread and just doesn't look like someone anyone would wanna follow. He looks like he sells used Nissans for West Herr.
  11. There's really no need to use those types of plays and packages when your front four is creating consistent pressure on their own. That's exactly what they want. Four rush, seven can cover, makes life really tough for most any offense. Seven sacks without any sort of blitz. Edmunds plays middle linebacker. Maybe we should say it one more time... Edmunds plays middle linebacker. People been trying to shift him around since he was drafted.
  12. Neither team looked very good... however it seems like the Phins are carrying themselves with some sort of swagger like they've actually accomplished something...
  13. It's none of the reasons you two seem to think it is... Howard's best trait coming out of Alabama in 2017 was his freak athleticism. In 2020 he tore his Achilles and hasn't been the same since. Reports from camp and the pre-season all said the same thing: the dude looked slow and laboring in his route running and his blocking wasn't any better than Morris or Sweeney. Bucs fans warned us that the dude just wasn't the same after that injury. He missed most of 2020 and when he came back in 2021 he was the third TE behind Gronk and Cameron Brate, who isn't exactly an All-Pro. The Bills took a chance to see if he was anywhere near where he was before the injury and it seems he wasn't so he didn't make the team. It happens.
  14. I thought they walked right past each other during the postgame handshakes and whatnot but I went back and it's Rams #92 that he passes. AD probably mad that Von didn't add his trademark strangle moves to his game. Phew... I'm so glad he said we could blink, I was afraid me eyeballs were gonna get stuck wide open. Dude is a character. Team really seems to love the guy, youse love to see it.
  15. I thought ol' McCorkle turned the corner this season? He's bigger, faster, stronger, better.... he just threw the ball into the dirt with Algholor wide open.
  16. Anyone know how to catch different games than what my YouTubeTV is giving me? I wanna see how Mitch does in Pittsburgh and I kinda like that Joey B. But I only have a choice of either Eagles vs Lions or Phins vs Pats at 1. I tried using a VPN but I dunno if that's gonna work. Any tips are appreciated.
  17. This was an excellent breakdown. I really liked how he highlights one of their RPO plays. They show like they're going right and it freezes the DE on that side but the wrinkle they threw in is they pull Brown to the left and Josh went behind him. Seems like Dorsey has come up with some really creative stuff and it also looked a little more simplified out there. Didn't see as much pre-snap motion as Daboll would use. Just a really good mix and variety of plays and personnel. Rams didn't have much of an answer all night. They really are lucky Bills turned it over four times or they may have scored on every possession again.
  18. I'm not really concerned with the defensive backs. McDermott knows how to coach that position and the system plays to their strengths.
  19. There are some real mental gymnastics a lot of Phins fans have been doing. They simultaneously believe Josh sucks and is an overrated bum while thinking Tua is in line for a "massive year three jump forward just like Josh Allen." And Tua isn't even attempting this throw, not in that same situation anyway. Also, Josh makes this throw on the run. I dunno if anyone watches The QB School on YouTube with JT O'Sullivan but his breakdowns are pretty good and he applies criticism where it's warranted. He said this throw was absolutely ridiculous and he doesn't know many QBs that would even try it let alone connect on it. Phins fans....da skidmarks of the NFL audience.
  20. Has it been reported on how many years he's looking for on his extension? I know that's probably something they could get hung up on. Poyer is 31, not that he can't still go but you know how it goes in football, you hit 30 and people start looking for the decline. I'd imagine maybe a two year extension? That'd keep him here through 2024. Either way, I hope it all works out. If anything, McDermott knows how to coach defensive backs. Tre and Kaiir are first round guys but Dane Jackson was a 7th rounder and he's done pretty well. Christian Benford went in the 6th and won the starting gig for now. Hyde went in the 5th, Poyer in the 7th. Ol' Josh Norman was a 5th and had his best days in Carolina while McDermott was the DC there. Jaquan Johnson (6th round) looks like he could be a solid replacement. All I've read on the guy is that he has every trait you look for in a safety and has a natural knack for the position and always seems to be around the ball...he's just undersized. Taron Johnson was a 4th round guy and he's only turned into one of the best slot CBs in the game. Levi Wallace was undrafted and just held down the starting spot across from Tre for like four seasons. Siran Neal is a jack of all trades in the secondary and a core special teamer. If they can't retain Poyer, I won't be too bummed because I'm confident they'll find an adequate replacement.
  21. OP you sound like the kind of "fan" that would see Josh Allen out getting a pizza and you'd jump on here and say, "Shouldn't he be studying his playbook?!" Blechhhh. Knock it off. There's nothing to go off. Kid carried the ball once, fumbled it, sat the rest of the game, it happens. He'll be fine. And are you a psychiatrist? You've studied his behaviors and traits and made a scientific conclusion, yes? Go outside.
  22. After using the Time Stone to peer into fourteen million different futures I can tell you the answer is... NEVAAAHHHHH!!!!! As it should be, because Jalen Ramsey is an overrated buttdumpling. And, I've gotta say, I've never really seen it with Ramsey. I'm sure he has good games but I don't think he's a top tier CB like the talking heads all claim. Maybe Josh just makes him his biatch every time they play, I dunno, but the dude always seems to be doing a whole lotta yappin' and a whole lotta nothin' on the field.
