Mack Hollins signs with Patriots
blacklabel replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's a bummer. I liked Mack. Dude caught nothing but touchdowns or first downs this year. Seriously, of his 31 receptions like 25 were first downs and five others were TDs. -
Dude grew up just outside Toronto. Seems like the type of WR they like. I bet it's all gonna be all right.

Will Josh Host SNL In The Near Future?
blacklabel replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
He definitely seems to be pretty selective with outside projects. I'm pretty sure he's also said he's busy enough with football and doesn't want a constant ongoing workload to deal with. He does some local commercials and he had the Gatorade campaign as well as the Pepsi commercial this year. Seems like he prefers to keep it more low-key as opposed to being all over the place. As for the topic, I bet he'd do pretty well on SNL. When he doesn't have to be in "I'm a professional" mode everything you hear about the guy behind the scenes is that he's a big, light-hearted goofball. -
The football trifecta and where do the Bills stand?
blacklabel replied to Sweats's topic in The Stadium Wall
I had the same thought regarding Faulk and Edge James. And you're right, Faulk played alongside Manning for one season only which happened to be Manning's rookie year of '98. Colts picked James in '99 and he played there thru 2005. -
The Stadium Wall is a great place to come talk about the Bills
blacklabel replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's pretty good. There are some users who seem to harp on the same nonsense year after year and that gets lame. There are also some who believe if you don't have an elite future HoF All Pro at starter, a perennial Pro Bowler at the backup spot, and at least a PFF rated top ten at third string then you're a complete failure as a GM and everything should be burned down. That crap gets old. -
I mean it was nice to see the Chefs get smashed but it was one of the crappiest Super Bowls ever because the Iggles can eat mah shorts just the same. It was like Giant D*uche vs Turd Sandwich.

Superbowl Game Thread - Chiefs vs Eagles
blacklabel replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
What a lousy frickin' game lol. I mean it's kinda one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen because uh, eat mah shorts Chefs you red rat bastids. But also, Philly can have a whole plate of shorts too because their fans are mostly turds. And their coach is a dingleberry. I really wanted both teams to lose but this is a nice consolation prize. Kermit got crushed all game and Kelce 'bout to get dumped...at least that's what his face has looked like all game. Anyway...suck it, Chefs. Finally not every single call and bounce went their way. -
Yeah, I bet against myself that I'd probably have more fun at a colonoscopy today than watching this abysmal game.

About friggin' time, man. Sometimes I still can't believe this dude is the QB on my favorite team.

Anyone else for using our draft capital for trades?
blacklabel replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean, I'd be down if they wanna try the Rams method of going all in to win the big one. May as well. -
This one stuck with me for a while. I hate it. I hate it for the whole team, I hate it for us as fans. Other fans hate it too, people are sick of the Chiefs. At the end of the day, they had a chance to go win it and it didn't happen. The next three days I couldn't shake it off. I must've muttered "godd*mmit!" to myself every five minutes. All week long leading up to the game I just wouldn't allow myself to really believe they were gonna win because that's happened before and it's just a kick in the nards. But during the game I had a few moments of, "they're gonna do it, they're gonna beat these clowns and go to the big one, finally!" And then, ya know, it just didn't happen. I don't think the Bills played poorly, they just didn't quite take advantage of all their opportunities. Some of the calls on offense were a little curious but I dunno, again, they had a chance and it just didn't happen. I hate the Chiefs. They get exactly what they need every time. The refs were crap but I expected that and I don't even get too bent out of shape about that anymore. I don't wanna watch the stupid Super Bowl. After the loss I had to disconnect for a bit. I hope they both lose.

Well, if they win the next two games they'll finish the season with 17 total victories. There's a guy on the team who wears #17. He's alright. He's no Art Schlichter but he can throw it probably at least 11 or 12 yards.
-
Haha wow they come off sounding like they just watched the Ravens go, "Oh hey there, Bills guys. Just so you know we can absolutely crush you, right? But today we're feeling generous so you guys can have this W. You're welcome." The hot takes and constant attempts to create drama during routine plays or the nonstop love fiestas for certain players is why I usually watch most of the games on mute and then I'll watch the highlights later to hear the calls.

Can someone point this dummy in the direction of where he can watch this? Thanks and shtuff.

Mike Vrabel - Now hired as the new Patriots coach
blacklabel replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't mean to be rude but I kinda just always laugh when I see takes like, "I'm concerned" or "this is bad for the Bills." Really? I mean.... I don't give a crap who hires who. Bills whomped Vrabel's Titans teams a few times. New England, Maye, blah de barf blahhhhh. -
I think he's been pretty solid. The OL overall has had a nice season. One of the things I recall from Jorsh's game clinching TD run against KC was Torrence absolutely crushing his block. Flattened the guy and Josh ran right past him.
-
He's been pretty awesome to watch this year. He's gotten a little bigger/stronger because he used to get knocked down on first contact almost every time. Now he's running thru tackles a bit more and isn't as easy to get on the ground.
-
Looked like a rookie. Made a couple nice throws. Based on his facial expressions and the slight limp I'd guess that he got pretty beat up today.

I really don't know the first thing about calling and NFL defense but I do know that what you can do changes when four starters are out. Normally they'd disguise and change up their coverage looks thru the game but it seemed like without Rapp, Hamlin, and Douglas they weren't able to do that. Instead they dialed up more blitzes and odd man rushes than any other time this season. The biggest difference has been their difficulty in getting off the field in 3rd and long situations. For the last few seasons they've been pretty solid with that but there's been some regression this year. It's a real nard-kicker when the opponent is at 3rd and 12 and they sneak past the sticks for 13 or 14. For whatever it's worth, a defensive play won the game today.
-
Yeah, he prefers the left hash so whenever he has to kick off the right hash I'm kinda like, "eh, he's flakey on this side." I think with the chip shot last week he thought he'd just boot it and sneak it inside the right upright as opposed to trying to direct it to the center and run the risk of shanking it wide left, because he's done that before. I also think he struggles with short ones because he has a pretty powerful leg so the ball is up and moving pretty quickly and doesn't always spin the way he wants it to before it gets to the goalposts. We see all the time a kick that looks wide but then curves to be good. Sometimes with his that curve happens right after it passes wide of the posts.

That one was a beaut, Clark. Drop in the bucket.

The bomb to Keon just set some kinda record. Something like 52 total air yards traveled in like 2.7 seconds or something? Fastest speed for that distance. I'm paraphrasing so don't shoot da messenger, eh? When that play happened live I didn't even see Keon catch the ball. It just zipped right into his mitts and he was trying to truck into the end zone. A real bummer that drive actually resulted in Bass shanking a 24 yarder. C'mon mang.

He really do come across like a genuinely good guy.

It was a slog. I passed out after halftime lol.
