Excellent post and 💯. Higgins is better than Gabe but he'd be way to expensive. I wouldn't be opposed to Cooper staying but only under 20M. The player I'd love would be trying to coax Seattle to trade DK to us. His age, size and speed would fit perfectly. But you're right, Beane doesn't value speed as much as some teams. He's content with slower wrs who can make contested plays. Josh is not as accurate on deep throws as we would like. A speed wr would be nice but maybe it's not mandatory? What is mandatory is landing Garrett or Crosby.

At the league minimum, sure why not as depth. It's not like we're keeping Elam anyway. Draft 2 CB's in April. I'd still try to go after DJ Reed or Adebo?

He definitely had a mechanical flaw and he fixed it. Now if we could just teach AJ to not rush 10 yards past the qb.

I'm cutting all 4. Edwards did not play well against the Chiefs. The AJE extension was stupid. And yes Von and DQ are done. We can bring up the young OL depth at guard.

That's not a terrible idea either but I doubt the Jets work with us. I'm just not on board signing or trading for ANY WR over 30. Higgins is getting franchised. Kupp, Diggs, Cooper, Adams, K. Allen, DHop....hard pass. Now maybe Dyami or Slayton on a cheaper deal I'd be down for? But Metcalf would be my top target. He could be Josh's true #1 for the next 4 years.

I think dollar wise there's a path to pay both Garrett & Metcalf. Crosby would be slightly less costly. It would require us to say goodbye to contracts of Von, Oliver, AJE, Milano, Knox & Jones. These guys can be replaced thru the draft/ ufa.

Personally my #1 trade target would be DK. His age, speed & size is exactly what Josh & Joe need. Cooper and Adams are on the wrong side of 30. Higgins will be way to expensive.

Most mocks have Grant going 20-25. I've even seen a couple having us trade up with the Vikings for Grant. Grant would be my pick but hopefully we don't have a 30th because we landed Garrett or Crosby. Looks like a trade up to the mid 20's would cost us both 4th's?

Unfortunately even Ed & DQ have had way too many uninspiring performances. It's very telling to see guys like Ford/ Settle leave and play better. Unfortunately for the most part our DT's have been Jagelicious.

I'm not talking about sacks. I'm talking about the hits he takes on designed runs, scrambles and tush pushes. Eventually that "expected" part of his game will be minimized as he ages. He'll need to fine tune his skills as a pocket passer. But he could very well play as long as Ben. That's not out of the realm. I just don't see 40 with the hits & mileage he's already put on that engine.

First of all colleges have tournaments, not the NFL. Secondly too many fans are over-relishing the journey, while convincing themselves the destination just isn't as important anymore.

Years 29-32 would be his physical peak. So these next 4 seasons and the opening of the new stadium will be realistically his best chance to win a Lombardi. Obviously he should have gone to 1 SB his first 7 year window. I think he'll play thru his 36 yr old season then hang it up. So we're looking at 4+4. His last 4 will likely not result in any SB appearances unless the organization builds a "Rams like" team they gave Stafford. Josh has taken too many hits to make it to 40.

It doesn't matter as much to the younger generations. They are perfectly happy and content to continue enjoying the current Bills experience....just entertain me.... Winning a championship used to be the ultimate goal. It's exhausting trying to understand this. There will always be a large percentage of fans that will support McB no matter what. And besides with Kim no longer able to run her team, Terry will not make waves and continue status quo. It is what it is....

Completely agree....3 of Tom's rings are because of Bill's defense in those SB's. I'd kill to have a defensive genius like Beli clean up the playoff defensive meltdowns we've witnessed dating back to the 4 SB losses.

The 2nd & 4th doesn't spook me that much. And obviously BB would restructure his contract to factor in void years. We'd still have a 1st & 2nd round pick for DL. DK would bring a speed/size element this team has never had since Eric Moulds.

We all luv Tre but he was washed the day the Bills released him. His play as a Ram / Ravens only validated that. He's done, those 2 injuries ended his career.

2/$28 would be the most I'd pay AC based on his age and projected return. It's not like he was that productive for us anyway. Draft 2 wrs and hope 1 blossoms.

My gut says do not sign a high priced wr like Higgins or Cooper. Take your chances in the draft and maybe we find a mid round diamond that can help us to a SB on a cheap rookie contract. You have to assume players like Kincaid, Coleman and Samuel will slightly improve on their 24' numbers. We're not getting knocked out of the playoffs because we can't score. Spend your fa and cap money on D.

Just give me Cosby & DJ Reed and we can go DT/WR in the draft.
