  1. What for like 5 minutes and their players had no clue what to do because they've never been trained, coached or taught this strategy. Why do you think Elam sits on the bench every week. Sean sinks or swims with his zone. Take it or leave it. And when his guys are asked to man up they look like fish out of water. I don't know too many baseball pitchers that throw only 1 pitch.
  2. But there lies the problem. He's hammered "into them"and trained his defense to be exclusively zone. So if by some emergency he faces a KC, Baltimore or Rams team that starts exploiting that scheme, he doesn't have a backup plan because his players can't play man or his DL rarely stunts with pre- snap movement. You gotta have a D that has more than 1 pitch to get guys out. I'd also argue that alot of these qbs you've listed (Tua, Purdy, Carr, Dak) are hardly elite and maybe not even "above average". Just because an organization is dumb enough to pay them elite money doesn't mean they are.
  3. I don't dispute any of that. But it's fun to think about. Unfortunately with our current defensive scheme and personnel, I see our chances of winning a SB the same as getting struck by lightning.
  4. Ben Johnson HC Jim Schwartz DC .....would be amazing...
  5. Yeah tried to sneak one in there but should've known the brethren would call me out.
  6. Exactly....I've been saying this since the day we drafted Josh. He's had absolutely NO game wrecking elite defensive player. And until Sean finds one, the result will be the same.
  7. It's not just KC & Mahomes. This defense got destroyed by Cincy and Burrow. Even Skylar Thompson made us sweat. Where are the metrics there?
  8. I discount all regular season meetings with KC. Their heart and motivation are no where near the level it is in the playoffs. They flip the switch in the playoffs and dominate us.
  9. It is groundhog day every season. Sean's stubbornness and under sized D will get shredded in the playoffs by superior qbs/teams. He's too stubborn to make adjustments based on the opponent, like Belichick would do. And he'll ask Josh to be Superman and save the day inspite of his mediocre zone. Rinse & Repeat
  10. The entire concept of this defense gets destroyed because your front 4 fail. They fail in run stop and qb pressure. It always has and always will start with them.
  11. My prediction is Douglas, Miller and Jones are all gone. As much as I can't stand AJE, we'll probably tolerate him one last year before he's a FA in 2026. Groot has been somewhat of a inconsistent disappointment. Oliver never played up to his contract. Beane's emphasis in the draft (as much as I want more wrs) should be DL. It's the Bills most glaring weakness and probably the reason we're missing SB opportunities. We need to find our next Bruce Smith or at least some DT's who aren't candy asses.
  12. Josh can put up points against any afc playoff team we face. But honestly y'all we're not built to defensively stop anyone in the playoffs. There's not 1 game wrecking player on this defense. Just a bunch of zone scheme dependent Jags trying to bend rather than break. At least Josh will win his 1st MVP this year. Now if he could only wrestle between the ears.
  13. Like I said in a earlier post, we're either going to win or lose by 45-42.
  14. The now famous Bills adage "we'll learn from our mistakes and fix them" should actually be "let's find coaches that don't make them in the first place". As a side tidbit, Josh Allen is having his greatest season. This overblown narrative that he's an interception machine is moronic and lazy. He has 5 ints this year, 3 of which were the fault of his receiver.
  15. Lamar's 75 career rating in the playoffs says it all. The script is obvious. You stop their run game in the 1st half and force Lamar to be a pocket passer in the 2nd.
  16. I'm more interested in Belinda than OBJ.
  17. Purdy looks like a 7th rounder
  18. A bad year for Samuel's
  19. Purdy looks purdy irrelevant tonight
  20. Yeah, all the flags are coming out on LA...where the f was that last week?
  21. We have no one to blame but ourselves.
  22. I wish Milano looked like the way Greenlaw is flying around. Both missed a year.
  23. Why not...they can't do any worse than last week. It's not like we're generating a pass rush against Goff anyway.
  24. Well said @Logic. Never take your loved ones for granted. Kim loved this team and I'm sure her health has been devastating to Terry. First Ralph lives in Detroit, now Terry admits to growing up a Lions fan. Crazy stuff...
