Without Dell & Diggs there doomed

Too much...2/$30M would be my final offer...and I'll throw in for free an elite HOF QB to throw to you.

That's the best scenario. Realistically I think he goes elsewhere for more money. We just haven't used him enough to justify keeping him. He does seem to have a great attitude.

Random talking head says something about the Bills
LABILLBACKER replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Part of the strategy acquiring Myles G would absolutely have to include more man press coverage. Would McBabs consider that??... Probably not...and there lies the problem. Trading for Garrett would be fantastic. Finally a game wrecker. -
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year brethren. Let's finally get one!

Red Uniforms. Take them off. Burn them. Never wear them again.
LABILLBACKER replied to bmur66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why can't we use the retro helmets (standing Buffalo) once a year. Is that so much to ask? No, they might turn yellow and that would make it worse. -
This is true. Lamar and Josh have both improved so much. It's just so damn frustrating to see him runner up in those Rodgers years and seeing how he performs in the playoffs (100 rating) compared to Lamar (75 rating). I know playoffs aren't factored in but they should be. Josh just has to have at least a clean 2 tds v Jest game and get to 40. Then rest him week 18. His performance v KC, SF, Rams, Det. can't be ignored.

Will He Reinvent Himself: Coach Sean McDermott

I'd be down for that...they have generated turnovers this year. -

You're absolutely right. There's blame to go around on both sides. 2022 was such an emotional meltdown, I can't really blame either side. But over 10 playoff games since 2019, the Bills have given up 248 pts. That's almost 25 pts per game. 2019- Careless Josh 2020/2021- Defensive meltdowns 2022-Chaos & emotional exhaustion 2023- ST & Diggs Drama 2024- ???? -

Maybe Sean will be visited tomorrow night by the 3 ghosts of Defense. -

Oh we all have sins but usually with less than 3 minutes left in a playoff game, Sean's sins become mortal. 13 seconds usually sends you straight to hell. -

How can he cost us a SB, when he's not even good enough to get us to one? His failure to find better defensive talent has betrayed his own zone scheme. -

We don't have a Super Bowl Defense. I'm sorry if this statement hurts some feelings. It's both talent and scheme. We haven't had an elite pass rusher or game wrecking DL player in the Allen era. Then you factor in defensive injuries every year. Since when has beating the Chiefs every year in the regular season ever translated to the playoffs. Milano was basically the closest thing to a dominant D player. Now he's just an injury machine. Josh is Superman and yes he can put up points but if we get behind 14-0 against a playoff caliber team, it's probably over. Sean either better find a great pass rusher or change his scheme. -
Yeah it was a very strange day for Shakir. Usually he's automatic. He just seemed off all day.

Priority Free Agents for Buffalo? Early Draft talk..
LABILLBACKER replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree... I'm making every effort to sign Cook & Shakir. Then Benford & Bernard. I'm letting Groot play out his last year. Von will probably be released and try to sign Koonce. Maybe sign Hill 1T from Cincy? Not alot of FA 1T's available this spring. -
Yes other than Spector (no great loss) I think we avoided major injuries today. Let's survive the Jets then rest everyone week 18.

You say goodbye to Von after this season with a 15M dead cap. -
Priority Free Agents for Buffalo? Early Draft talk..
LABILLBACKER replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
No...his dead cap after this year is 17.2M....but it drops to 11M after next season. He's turning 30 soon and I don't have alot of faith we'll ever see the Matt Milano of 22/23? -
I don't trust Milano anymore. Healthy or not, he seems to have lost his burst. We need to roll with Bernard/ Williams the rest of the way. Need Rasul back asap to get Elam off the field. Then of course Rapp & Hamlin (ugh) will help shore things up some. This is by no means a Top 10 defense ready for the playoffs. But if we can score offensively and get just enough stops/turnovers, we can hang with anybody. Alot of "ifs"....

BJ Hill I'd try to go after as a 1T. Odighizuwa is too small to play the 1. -
He'll be the 2nd best qb in our division for the next few years. He's got big upside.

Probably letting Douglas and Cooper walk. We're not using Cooper anyway. In 4 years Greg Rousseau is averaging 6 sacks per season. I'm letting him walk. Not paying him huge money for 6-7 sacks/ yr. I'm signing Cook, Shakir, McGovern & especially Benford. Release Von and try to sign Malcolm Koonce to replace Groot. Draft heavy DE because next season will be Epenesa's last. Trade Elam to a man heavy defense. -
12/22/24 GAMEDAY Week 15 Bills vs Patriots* Post GameThread
LABILLBACKER replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Spector is absolutely awful. I don't see anything there that project-able or capable of developing. And frankly I doubt Milano gives us anything moving forward. So it's down to Bernard & Williams with a bunch of bodies to back them up. We are in deep trouble defensively. -
If you combo'd our D & ST together they would rank near the bottom. I don't even care what the analytics say anymore. They fail the eye test.
