  1. Yup, last night about 2 miles from where I live there was a gust registered at 99.
  2. I spent 30 minutes taking pics of every room and cabinet inside our house in case our insurance company wants to screw us. Besides so many insurance companies were abandoning California customers left and right. After this disaster, no one will be able to get insured...period.
  3. Never thought in a million years I'd see an evacuation order so close to the Santa Monica pier. Early estimates say the total property damage is over 60 billion and will rise well above that.
  4. Thanks @WotAGuy...the closest one to us here in La Crescenta is the Eaton which has beat the crap out of Altadena. My son's future in laws lost their home this morning. Pray the winds ddon't shift to SW.
  5. This La Nina has been worse than any previous one. LA has not seen a drop of rain since last March. The wind events used to be more predictable Santa Ana's from the NE. But this windstorm has been swirling in 4 directions. And the level of sustained winds have been historical. Our family already knows 3 family/ friends who've lost their homes.
  6. I've lived in LA 66 years and I've never seen sustained winds 60-80 mph like this for 2 days. I'm evacuated and hoping the Eaton fire calms down. Going to be a rough night.
  7. First @Beck Water let me apologize for yesterday's response. I appreciate all you bring to this board. I think we both 100% agree the wr draft was definitely underaddressed and underresourced. And I guess I saw a long term WR1 (BTJ) going to Josh for years. Also I realized how important this last draft was based on the depth of the wrs available. Our disagreement stems from trading up 120 pts. Yes we gained draft capital on the trade downs. Yes we didn't have alot to begin with. But I still think it was possible if Beane was motivated enough to give the Jags our 2nd pick (Bishop) and in return we get their 3rd & 6th round picks. And Thomas didn't have a good year, he had a great year as a rookie on a team that struggled. I don't pretend to know as much about stats/ analytics as most on here. But my gut told me that this big, strong, fast wr was worth the effort. And if Bishop & Coleman don't pan out (and God willing they do), this will go down as an opportunity lost.
  8. I'm just making observations to his obvious issues. If people want to ignore them that's their right. I'm rooting for him to make me wrong. I'm rooting for him to bust out next year. But I'm also not going to sit here and pretend these issues don't exist. And to one final observation, if he was told to "back it down" yesterday for safety reasons, why was he out there for as long as he was? Risking another injury in his rookie year? He didn't have any incentives to hit?
  9. Dude, I'm well aware of the dozens of times the Bills have traded up in their drafts.
  10. I do too...I'm far from giving up on him. But his issues are obvious. The lack of speed will never magically improve. Maybe Brady (if he's around long enough) will find his strengths and match them up with Josh in the playbook. Another concerning stat if you want to compare rookie players is Gabe had a 57% catch rate his rookie season. And we all know what kind of hands he had. Keon this year just finished at 50%. And if he lacks the ability to separate, then the 50/50 balls will simply translate to a career around 50%. Believe me I hope I'm wrong.
  11. You're right Beck....the Bills have never traded up for a player in their history. And while we're at it I never mentioned once another target player other than Thomas. Maybe your the one "pining" for a version of Coleman that doesn't exist yet. Newsflash mensa...Thomas put up the numbers that he did because he's likely to be a great wr, not because of the other nonsense you're spewing. Oh and did I mention he's on a rookie deal unlike the other guys you're clearly "pining" for. And finally if Beane really wanted to he could've found a way to trade up without breaking the bank.
  12. These are all valid points. Obviously as @Beck Water said, he is used to Josh's velocity & timing. Going from 17 to Trubisky/White is a huge drop off. Hopefully he amps it up in the playoffs because we're going to need him. On a side note, Keon leads all rookie wrs with a 19.3 yds/ reception avg. When he does get one, it's a chunk play.
  13. Well one thing is 100% confirmed. He's slow as hell. He gets zero separation. I'm still pissed at him for adding 1 int and deducting 1 td from Josh's ledger. He's athletic enough to be decent on the jump ball stuff but he better expand his route tree. Maybe we can have him run crossing "gauntlet" routes all day? Brian Thomas Jr would've looked real good in a Bills uniform. At least he had a better season than Mitchell, McCaffrey & Franklin. So I'm giving Keon at least another year to show improvement but his flaws so far are kinda obvious.
  14. Josh lost to 3 playoff caliber teams. Lamar lost to the terrible Browns & Raiders. And as we all know Lamar will fold in the playoffs, like he always does ( 75 qb rating ).
  15. The FA money must be invested on the front 4. Starting with a pass rusher. We can get out of the Von contract with minimal damage this spring. I absolutely love the idea of signing Malcolm Koonce and extending Groot on a team friendly deal. Keep AJE one more year as a rotational DE, but draft his replacement this April. This draft pick could challenge Solomon for depth snaps in 2026. The front 4 is key to make your back 7 better than they really are based on Sean's scheme.
  16. He won't probably provide the splash plays we saw from Milano, but he definitely is being groomed to replace Matt in a year or two. If we ever slide to a more traditional 4-3, I could easily see Bernard, Andreesen and Williams being the starters.
  17. It had to be gloriously liberating for him not to have to force feed a diva.
  18. Exactly, watch that play again. How does Von even get credit for a half sack, let alone a full one? He barely touches Maye, then Maye loses his balance and another Bill tackles him. Von immediately ran off celebrating in order to convince the official scorer. Wierd play all the way around?
  19. Nate Peterman would agree
  20. Pittsburgh's offense is a joke.
  21. So proud of the season Josh had. He had only 6 ints and only 3 of those were his fault.
  22. These 2 were 5th & 6th in the voting anyway. They had nice seasons but there nowhere near the level of Josh & Lamar.
  23. FanDuel disagrees. Big lead Josh -470 Lamar +360 This thing is over!
