Some thoughts on why we can't get over the hump
LABILLBACKER replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
The owner (where it all starts) has accepted losing to the Chiefs every year. He has a successful regular season team that has an amazing fan base that generates revenue. He's halfway to his new stadium. And he's dealing with running everything without Kim's help. I'm sure he doesn't want to rock the boat. So basically Terry is sticking with McD & BB no matter what. That's our now...that's our future. Many fans have accepted this narrative. And many have not. How many more KC playoff loses can an owner and fan base tolerate? How long can Josh play good soldier and tolerate such an obvious lack of support. The Superman narrative is getting tired. -
I could care less about regular season stats. The only stat that matters is 34.75 which is the average points given up to KC in the playoffs. He has absolutely failed to build a defense smart & tough enough to stop Andy. Sean will go to his grave knowing he was Andy's biotch.
-
He just can't keep failing on 1st thru 3rd round picks. These are important and should be valued. These were supposed to be the picks used to build our defense.
-
We weren't stopping Philly as we are nowhere near having a SB caliber defense. And until we EVER? find one, we will continously ask Josh to carry this team on his back. Sean: "Hey Josh, while we're waiting for me to find a great defense, can you please score 30 every week".
-
Yup, the bottom line was just when we needed our OL the most, they failed Josh. They failed any kind of push in all those lame tush pushes. Spags dominated Brady and you had to know a blitz was coming right there.
-
Let me start by saying Von, Groot and Epenesa have been big disappointments. I'm not retaining any of these 3. Hamlin has to go also. He is a perennial backup that never should've seen as many snaps as he had. I'm also letting Rasul & Cooper walk. Just not enough contributions from them. Obviously keep Rapp and pray we can mold Bishop somehow? Hated losing Cine. Elam will probably be outright released as his trade value might be a 7th round pick. This defense needs a complete rebuild. Both on x's & o's and Jimmy's & Joes. Last year was our opportunity to land a wr and we failed. And we can't count on our TE's anymore. Sign Hollins cheap and roll with Samuel one more year. Maybe sign a FA WR?? Top Draft Priorities DE, DT, CB, WR, S

Kincaid played through torn PCL
LABILLBACKER replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh does things that no other qb I've seen can do. That would've been a legendary play if Dalton can make a basic basket catch. All I know is compared to Reid & Spags, McDermott and his coordinators are children. -

It's funny how some thought Kincaid might turn into a version of Kelce. After 2 full seasons that topic has done a 180°. -
Cooper DeJean - Would he have made a difference?
LABILLBACKER replied to ShakAttack's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's been invisible most of the year. Maybe we can't see him because of that 4.7 speed. I wanted BTJ badly and all it would've cost us is Bishop. -
Josh deserves much better....

Thank you....that joke of a drop reminded me of Charles Clay all over again. Pathetic....if he's hurt than get him the hell out of there. -
In some ways, this is worse than the drought in my opinion

Wow, this current generation of fans are really setting the bar high. Maybe the NFL will create a regular season award. We'll call it the Shotty! We can win that every year while Patrick & Andy smirk at us. -
What are you doing to get out of this funk?
LABILLBACKER replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry but this is officially the way I feel. With the exception of Josh Allen and a very small handful of players, the rest of this team just doesn't play with the same passion or intensity. Our coaches always get outcoached. You can set your watch to it. And speaking of watches, this Bills experience over these last 8 years seems like nothing more than the movie Groundhogs Day. I'm now in a position to convince myself for the 56th time to "wait until next year". -
Well he better be prepared to wait several more years because he and his buddy Brandon are clearly incapable of finding an elite DL player.
-
Our defensive scheme is stupid. It lacks discipline or self awareness. It's like McDermott & Babs are asking the DE's to play nose tackle. I lost track at how many times Greg either fell or got lost in the B gap wash. Meanwhile Patrick has tons of space to scramble outside.
-
The only thing worse than watching Sean's over-rated scheme, is watching Beane & his worthless scouts fail miserably in finding 1 elite DL player. Overpaying for an aged out Von reeked of desperation. This team will experience this same playoff result for years to come.
-
We're never going to have a good enough pass rush to make these mediocre dbs look better than they really are.

Joe Brady and Aaron Kromer had a rough night

The stupidity of these coaches never ceases to amaze me. -
There's going to be alot more players than that gone.

A "Tush Push" to the right just once would have been nice....

I realize Josh is the ultimate "good soldier". He will never throw a coach or teammate under the bus. But for the first time ever after these playoff losing pressers, I saw anger in his eyes. If Sean doesn't get his defensive Shi# together real soon, I could see JA gone someday down the road. And I wouldn't blame him.

Without Josh, McDermott would've been fired years ago.
