I like most of what I've seen so far, and really do have a positive outlook on the future, but depth is a serious issue on this team. There is a dramatic drop in talent in almost every position group. EJ Gaines goes out with injury almost every game and as soon as he's out the secondary opens up (just as one example).
I think over the next few years this team will be well built, but it will take a whole crap of load of injury luck to stay competitive through this season. Fingers crossed.
I do like Gaines, but we definitely need to get another solid corner and maybe slide Gaines to the slot

Boldin is a guy who had the reputation throughout his career of being the ultimate professional, a team first guy, and a leader. When he determined his heart really was not in it, he quit. Poor example.
Correction. It would have been a poor example if he didn't turn around and say he would play for the Pats.

I got love for Jones. If he doesn't make that play, it could of been a while different game.

A team can only do so much in one season. They had a ton of roster turnover and while they have a little cap space now there wasn't all that much to start with.
Also, they don't want just bodies here. They want players that fit and won't bring locker room cancer garbage bringing the team down just because the guy wants to collect a pay check one last time.
Who is Anquan Boldin?
-
I wouldn't mind going after those guys, but aren't they primarily man-man guys? That may be why we haven't looked in their direction. Do you know of any zone type DBs out there in the FA pool?
Honestly, I think Shields could play zone. We all know that Revis can't. He's just not the same player.

I always look at the actual positives from Ralph's time. He did quite a bit for the league from it's very inception. He was a class act. Made some bad choices from time to time, but also made some good ones as well. Happy birthday Ralph

S-Jenkins touchdown somehow turns into a turnover. Go figure. Reviewer spent more time watching Butler plead his case instead of the action. SF clearly regained control before hitting the goal line/ pylon. Yes sir Mr Butler, comin right up.
This should be known as the "Just give it to em'" game part 2

Looks like we may end up seeing fitz vs bills yet again!
-
Confirmed
Thanks. I guess I just didn't want to believe it lol
-
I don't know if anyone can confirm but, I've also seen Gaines, Humber, Worthy also being on the inactive list. This may be a tougher game than originally thought.
-
I can agree with Bucky here. This team is starting to resemble the 1999 team. Lets just hope it doesn't end the same way.
-
I agree this is a big game. Could easily fall into one of those trap type games. Still not that scared of them. Maybe their defense but not their offense.
Agreed. Then again, in past years we lose the Falcons game on that last drive.
That's how I felt seeing the Falcons coming back down the field. I just said "here we go again. Same old story I've seen a million times." did not expect that stop

I heard Josh Reed has been keeping in shape!
I'd take him back in a second! Loved me some Josh Reed.
-
Underperformed in NO. Could be a different story with Panthers. With the Panthers stout defense, I could see him doing well.
-
There was a reason why this didn't work out the first time. I guess they thought in today's climate it would be a different story, but nope, still same story..
-
We might split...but there's no way in hell we stay with them in the division...The AFC East is NOT up for grabs......NE wins it by the beginning of December....
Might be by November.

This is like watching Bills circa 2006
-
Or it could all be a ploy. Maybe he really didn't?
-
Donahoe really started the entire debacle of the current era in Bills football, so I'm not really a fan.
I agree. It still astounds me though, knowing the roster he assembled and still couldn't make a push.
-
A decent safety. I wouldn't mind bringing him for the right price. He probably would excel better in the 4-3 scheme that the Bills will be running. It would take more pressure off of him and give him help underneath.
-
I know this could go either way, but I'm thinking this could be a step backwards. On the other hand, they'll attract a lot of coaches with a big ego. So there's always that. I can't see Gruden building the team as a whole every draft.
-
Wish him the very best, but man I'm scared for him if he gets another neck injury.
-
In my opinion, I think Sammy just may get traded before the deadline this season if the foot isn't going to stay healthy.

Love him or hate him, at least he stopped Bon Jovi. Very grateful for the Pegulas in the end.
