  1. Both are often true. McD is coaching up pretty weak talent but he’s coaching them up to fail on the big stage because his scheme doesn’t work against good teams. Its not a good situation at all.
  2. Lamar is the Dan Reeves of Marty Shottenheimers.
  3. But Romo said that Lamar catching his own pass was the greatest play he’s ever seen.
  4. This will be the first that I don’t watch. Lady wants to go away for the weekend hiking and then I have my drum lessons. I’m pretty sure I know how it’s going to end. Each year I drift a little further away from the NFL. My father was the same way at my age. I’m losing interest pretty quickly.
  5. Many times this season I’ve seen coaches go for it, manage to get it, then get stuffed on the next series and settle for a FG anyway or turn it over. It would be different if that 4th and 4 decision guaranteed you a TD but it doesn’t. You’re on the road, with a lead, you kick the FG every time. Andy Reid kicks that FG in that spot.
  6. But they had to make him one of the highest paid QB’s in the league. Financially, it didn’t make much sense if you’re looking 5 years down the road.
  7. I would make the trade just to have another DC and scheme.
  8. Harbough has a SB win.
  9. Yeah. It really is the scheme. It’s also undersized and when 1 guy goes down in a game, the entire defense collapses. It takes McD 2-3 weeks to adjust his defense to injuries unlike the Chiefs that just adjust on the fly in the same game. That’s not acceptable when all of your team’s resources are being spent on that side of the ball.
  10. Damn. It felt that bad too. Continuously shredded in playoffs.
  11. There was a rookie QB in the playoffs this season and he could’ve been a Raven if they traded Lamar (like he supposedly wanted) and moved up in that draft.
  12. Draft a QB that can throw the ball. Maybe no team actually wanted to trade for him?
  13. The Ravens had a perfect opportunity to move on from Lamar in the offseason and they totally blew it. I’ll never understand that decision. They deserve what they get now.
  14. You don’t kick FG’s, you lose.
  15. He’s the Leslie Frazier of McDs.
  16. We aren’t viewed favorably on a national level anymore. People have grown tired of us. There were also mentions of Kermit dolls and Mahomes dolls/figures hanging from nooses in nearby trees, etc near the stadium.
  17. Wait a minute. You flipped and want McD gone now? Just like that?
  18. If the culture is as strong as some of you say, it should be able to survive the firing of a weak HC to reach the end goal. It’s time to try a results-based approach since the faith-based approach hasn’t worked out so well. A win at all costs approach, preferably one that can field an average defense in a playoff game and not embarrass ourselves in humiliating fashion each year. We already know where the ceiling is for this bunch. Do we really need to see it again?
  19. Yeah, that means you aren’t good. His defense blew large leads in like 4 games this season and lost and that’s not counting the games he blew with bad head coaching decisions late in games. He was well on his way to letting the Steelers come back also. I haven’t looked but he likely blew 10 point leads or more in a dozen games this year and the Josh bailed him out.
  20. Defense isn’t his thing either.
  21. Diggs would have dropped it anyway. Josh was done looking his way.
  22. What fans and coaches expect from Josh is just absolutely insane. He’s supposed to kill an entire quarter of clock and instantly throw a TD when McD snaps his fingers, and every week.
  23. Didn’t we already do that for 6 years?
