You’re absolutely right. It doesn’t really matter. I’m sure it matters to Presidents and their Intel agency’s but the people don’t care at this point. The response, and future responses, are the important part moving forward. We mishandled that every step of the way and that can’t ever happen again. It’s not like they haven’t been warning us about pandemics for the last 15 years. This was a colossal failure on all fronts. It only matters to people who are trying to re-write history of a crisis we just all witnessed and watched on our TV sets every single day for the last year and some change, and they’ll continue doing that for the next 20 years.

So, back in November 2019 when Trump, Fauci, Intel, and others were sitting in a room discussing whether or not it came from a bat or a lab, Trump decided to do nothing because he didn’t want to disturb the economy and holiday retail sales? Is that what you’re telling us?

The Fed has tools to cut inflation and could use them tomorrow. They could also just raise the interest rate 1 point. The market isn’t genuinely concerned about it since they have forecasts. Every member of Congress knows exactly what the economy will look like on Election Day. Plebs like us aren’t privy to that info.

The GOP already knows they can’t really hit Joe with inflation since it’s already projected to come back down. They can in the short term but it wouldn’t have much impact, which is why they aren’t for the most part.

Republicans don’t want to talk about anything Biden is pushing for since those issues all poll in the 70’s, so they’ve decided to go back to what they know, which is culture wars, stuff no one cares about and doesn’t affect the average person. Democrats tricked Red states into not taking Covid precautions and made them act incredibly irresponsibly towards their fellow neighbor, promote fake cures, and not get vaccinated, which killed off their voters and prevented them from winning elections. They’re very clever! How did the Democrats make them do all of that?

Scott Walker was a real mess. The Koch/Walker model is still being used today in some red states. Wisconsin is basically where it started.

I believe in things that are real and can be confirmed as truth. I don’t watch the news. I strictly follow campaigns and certain policy. I don’t chase boogeyman social issues unless I’m extremely bored and want to bludgeon my opponents over the head for my own entertainment. If I’m up early enough, I’ll watch the Washington Journal to get an idea on which way the winds are blowing on certain issues. I only care about winning elections.

I’ve always supported bringing back an updated version of The Fairness Doctrine which would eliminate cable news and all of the echo chamber news that you see in this board. As of right now, this isn’t a “both sides” problem. 1 party is much, much worse than the other. 1 party actually exists in an alternate reality and doesn’t believe in a due-north on truth.

That’s quite the boogeyman you have there. I don’t participate in marketing campaigns designed to energize racists to vote.

They had to create their own news echo chamber because there wasn’t ever any good news about them. That shows the decay of the party.

Critical Race Theory isn’t being implemented in the public school system.

If you still aren’t vaccinated at this point, you should have to wear a shield and have your office moved to the basement like the guy in Office Space, then be pushed out the door and replaced with someone that’s a bit more sensible. I would make employees wear a pink shield with unicorns on it and let it play out. There can be no accommodations made for the unvaccinated. If you have Hep C or AIDS and you give it to someone else, you can be criminally charged. It should be no different here moving forward.

No member of Trump’s cult will ever be president. That should be pretty obvious to everyone by now. He really should’ve done a better job distancing himself from the idiot a few years ago. They didn’t even begin their rebuilding process yet. He might as well be wearing a Trump wig out there. We’re looking at at least 2 more presidential cycles until a Republican can be competitive in a general election.
