I don't think it's anything other than talent in the trenches and at skill positions. We aren't competitive with the top of the league in either. Josh could probably overcome the deficit at the skill positions with a clean pocket, but we aren't going anywhere with these lines regardless of anything else.
At some point, drafting a star QB is going to be too far in the rear view mirror to keep justifying the glaring problems with the roster construction. Beane should be on the hot seat right now, let alone McDermott

I doubt Diggs stays. He wants to win and he’s not putting up with this crap anymore.
Isn't he signed through '27?

Franchise in trouble? And I thought the drought was bad.
Being good sucks more than being bad.
As a 76ers fan it's absolutely worse when the expectations are higher.

Blatant interference and it was absolutely the wrong decision with the safety coming over. Tre does not look like a very good player without the athleticism

Ran out of gas. Period. It's not an excuse, but they ran out of gas finally today
I honestly don't think it's this. Our lines are just not good enough to compete with the very top of the league. You could play this game again in a month after a long rest and I believe it would go the same way

Hard to win games against a good QB when it's not the slightest bit competitive in the trenches on either side

This crowd seems to suck. Did all our season ticket holders cash out on StubHub?

Are we in four down territory on offense yet?

Blows my mind that nobody in the mainstream has any idea about NFL Gamepass international edition. With a cheap VPN and an around $100/yr subscription directly through the NFL, you get a legitimate live platform with RedZone, no blackouts, and a solid interface.
It's so much better than the ad infested free streams, and you can share it with a group of friends without issue as long as they all know how to use a VPN.

Any discussion about the reffing yet? Felt like we had a distinct advantage in this game, although admittedly they didn't call much either way.
There were a few blatant faceguards that I feel would normally be pass interference, particularly the one where Romo said there "needs to be contact"

Probably going to need that Josh Allen dominance from the end of last season into the beginning of this season. If you get that it comes down to a few bounces and big plays on defense and special teams

Reading the Patriots postgame thread on Reddit is so satisfying

The Dolphins were trying to let him score. That really says it all in terms of which way gives them a better chance to win

You get accustomed to wherever you are. As someone who has been out of the WNY area for a number of years, that cold tolerance I used to have has largely disappeared. It's not a lifelong thing

That's the most frustrating to me...there was ZERO reason to try and run a sneak on the half yard line when Allen could have easily done other things at least 3 times to try and get a few yards so you can do a proper kneel down.
I mean if you're going to fumble the snap an inch away from your own endzone, most play calls are going to go poorly

To feel better about tonight I'm contemplating what it must have been like to be a die hard Atlanta Falcons fan in that absolute collapse against Brady. Goddamn they must have already been celebrating the way we were against Kansas City last year, but that was the Superbowl.

I used to think with all the complaining during the drought years, once we start winning, fans will complain less but that isn't the case.
It's definitely the case for the way I feel when watching them. Even after the 13 seconds loss I was still pretty thrilled just to have had the chance to watch that and experience the range of emotions that come with it.
I was a kid who tried to get a JP Losman signature but only managed to get a Robert Royal. I bragged at school about Trent Edwards finally being the QB to take us to the promised land. I was once excited about Ryan Fitzpatrick. I feel like a thoroughly beaten dog who was finally let into the house these last few years.

Tre White changes our defense by essentially taking the opponent's WR1 out of the picture. With White back, maybe Jaquan/Hamlin get more help over the top? And these big plays are less frequent. That said, if Poyer is indeed out, and White STILL gets held out next week... then yeah... I'd say we aren't just "being cautious" with him at that point. If Poyer is out, I'm surprised if White is too...
Tre used to take the opponent's #1 WR out of the picture. It remains to be seen if he will return to that form or not after a serious injury, but hoping you are right.

Josh is going to have to actually finish the 4th quarter and won't get a break, this is the worst day of my life

A lot of keeping KCs scoring contained is keeping the chains moving on offense ourselves. Half the league can't seem to achieve the elusive first down (let alone a touchdown) so I'm not sure how much success they will have.
We also have a lot of talent and athleticism up front that is hard to replicate for lesser teams
