  1. Tipping before a service is rendered is a silly expectation. It's really a bid for service through a middle man the way they have it set up now, and not actually a tip in the traditional sense.

I understand why they want to incrementally increase the cost as the customer proceeds, so they have already invested time in selecting items etc. If they charged a reasonable fee for the delivery instead of the "tip" and presented all the costs up front it would ward off a lot of business.

By the time everyone is paid a fair wage and the middle man gets their fee, that's a very large bill to wait an hour for some ultimately cold food thrown together poorly in styrofoam or plastic containers. Restaurants and takeout are already deteriorating in value proposition with increasing cost of labor and declining quality standards/portions since COVID. Best to cook everything yourself these days other than special occasions.

While I agree, Josh bears some blame...

That miss on 3rd down to Knox was on Josh, also Knox, but that was a terrible pass.

At the end of day/big picture, Dorsey is just OK.  We lack playmakers at WR.  Diggs then what?  Gabe isn't twitchy enough, then we have a bunch of "try hards" and a rookie who hasn't been utilized enough/right ways in Kincaid.

Need to spend more on offensive weaponry

Also need to replace nearly our entire secondary and we have some players on bad contracts so things are going to be tight

You’re not wrong. But we lost too many critical pieces on defense. 3 key starters and 1 ( Milano ) who was playing at a defensive player of the year level just can’t be replaced. The biggest problem I see is Dorsey’s offensive is too predictable. In the last 2 weeks D coordinators ate our offense up.

they better right the ship this week because if the giants were a good team we would of lost by 20.

They are desperate for outside corner. The safeties are no longer capable of covering up deficits there. With Dane out today things get dire. If he or Benford get seriously injured they may as well forfeit

Amazing how a narrative switches. For YEARS I have seen right here on this board that "defense doesn't matter" and it's all about offense these days anyway.

We still have an ELITE defensive line. Floyd and Groot are legit. Add in AJE who is coming along. And anything we get from Von is a plus as well. Ed Oliver is having a career year as well.

We have Bernard making plays every week. Benford hopefully back soon and Dane Jackson is adequate. Will we be as good as before? No of course not.

But there is no reason to believe this defense can't make some stops. Truthfully, maybe a little new blood and young legs is needed in some spots.

I think McDermott scheming the defense will be a plus as well. He'll figure out ways to cover some weak spots.

Fortunately, this is all happening early in the year. Gets players like Benford, Williams, Poona or whoever comes in time to get reps and build knowledge in the system.

Season is far from over IMO

One thing that worries me with what's left is that it's only been five weeks. We are almost certainly going to lose more players on defense and we are already at the breaking point at DB & LB. Injuries happen to every team, but it's a lot easier to plug in other depth guys around your star playmakers. You get to a point where all of your elite talent is already gone, and you can't just keep patching holes when you are already taking on water.

The Patriots built the strongest dynasty ever with a defensive head coach and a franchise QB. We have the same thing. They will find the right players and will continue to compete until Josh is retired. Bills still have time, plenty of it.

They had the greatest QB of all time so I'm not taking that for granted

It's a bummer for sure but try not to let it ruin your whole day ya know?

I know we Bills fans are passionate and we want our team to mollywhop everyone but that's not always how it goes.

It can be easy to forget how good we've had it since 2019 when you look back at some of the more dismal eras in Bills history. It's hard for me to complain about the team given how awesome they've been. Sucks to lose in the playoffs but, I dunno, people who have specific expectations for the team that go unmet and reacting to that by wanting to dismantle the team in all sorts of areas. Something about that feels entitled to me, I guess.

I used to get pretty wrapped up in it. But sy a certain point the emotions shift. I still get into the games and feel the nerves and anxiety. But when a bummer game happens, I'm not longer pissed off for the rest of the day. I used to get loud and animated. None of that anymore. I dunno if it's like a big picture type of perspective but yeah, just taking it easy and accepting whatever happens makes the losses less poopy.

Also one time I got so pissed I punched a hole in my brand new guitar case and 15 years later I still feel like an a-hole about it haha. It's nice to be able to relax and still enjoy the team.

I still get enraged but I've gotten better at just walking away these days.

  7. With what's left on defense along with this coaching staff, I would be shocked if they made it out of the divisionals. Other teams could degrade with injuries as well, QBs could get hurt etc so things change all the time. But right now, I see Bengals-esque games in our future when we play good QBs. We are bad at corner and bad at safety and we no longer have the elite personnel on the front end to help cover it up going forward.

Still a lot more fun to watch than it used to be, but my expectations aren't sky high for this year now
