  1. Kyle Williams is very close to retirement. Incognito is 34 years old. Benjamin is a piece, but certainly not a top-end #1 WR. That you are reaching for Lawson and Holmes really says it all in terms of the talent level on this team. Lets see: Malik Jackson, Telvin Smith, Jalen Ramsey, AJ Bouye, Myles Jack, Yannick Ngakoue, Calais Campbell.
  2. All just terminology. If there is a player that you think has a high probability of being a franchise guy, the price does become somewhat secondary. Because if you are right, you underpaid. That doesn't necessarily have to be a top five pick, but if that's the market perception, the cost can't be allowed to be an obstacle when you have the means.
  3. I see Tre White as a cornerstone kind of player. I see two very good safeties on fantastic contracts. I see good coaching and a reason to be optimistic with the front office. Shady McCoy is an amazing win now asset and fun to watch. That's about it. Beyond that, there is very little talent or anything of trade value. That Jacksonville team makes our team look like dog****. And that is with a mediocre at best quarterback. They likely have more talent on defense than we could compile from every roster in the last ten years.
  4. That franchise is terribly run. I have always felt sorry that Rivers wasted his career with that half-rate organization. And for the short period of time where they actually did have the talent, they were an electric team to watch. It's a lot easier to put the talent around the QB than it is to find the QB. Opportunities to find the QB are very limited.
  5. If you subject your eyes to the torture of watching the Buffalo Bills on a yearly basis, how in the hell could it not be yes?
  6. We just had the joy of ending our playoff drought. Then we had our proud moment in the sun with a spectacular 3-point performance leading to an all-too-predictable first round exit. I would like to see them achieve something a little bit more fun than that, and prioritize all of their thinking around that goal. When I look at this team, I see very little talent. The effort is great, and the coaching appears to be a breath of fresh air, but we are not built to win now. We need to add talent to the team, and the best way we can do it is with draft capital
  7. Someone who won't win too many games or have long term cap implications. Any true upside is a bonus.
  8. I almost posted this myself as a caveat. You could probably find threads of Redskins fans celebrating that trade up when it happened, and even more so a full year after. Perhaps without Shanahan's handling history would be different. Ultimately, there is no sure thing when it comes to finding a QB. Your best chance is always going to be the best prospects, the ones that go at the top. Waiting around for Peyton Manning and hoping you have the worst record in the NFL the same year is not a realistic long term draft strategy. If you hit on a franchise QB, there is almost no haul of assets that can pry him away from you. The Browns could offer their entire draft this year with two top 5 picks for Wentz and get rejected.
  9. You will see the words "project", "average", "not Mariota" etc. etc. You see they should have waited for a TRUE QB prospect to come sometime in the indeterminate future. That prospect would have had no question marks.
  10. I found it very intriguing to look back at the situation surrounding the 2016 draft. Take a gander at the fan reactions.
  11. You can turn over the whole !@#$ing team if you hit on a top QB. Especially in the current state of the NFL where there is a void of top-level QB talent left by the last generation retiring. It's not a short term decision. God forbid the Bills fail to go 7-9 for one year.
  12. It would signal that there is little hope for the franchise going forward.
  13. Already terrified of the let down if they don't chase a top QB prospect.
  14. Pound that hole until it doesn't even look like a hole anymore.
  15. I think the Bills should pretty much convert this draft into the #2 pick, and immediately start the QB selected. Deal whatever is needed to avoid giving up the 2019 first. Leave the team with many holes in important spots with and a rookie QB to struggle, post a poor record, and use the 2019 draft to shore up talent at the most needed positions, potentially with a blockbuster trade down of our own. From that point, we will ideally have an up-and-coming QB and a ton of cap space with some good young players to develop. #21, #22, #53, #56, #65, Glenn, 2019 3rd, all for #2. Stay quiet in free agency this year, let young players start over veterans.
  16. The Bills weren't going to win a Super Bowl with Tyrod Taylor. If they aren't contenders, why maximize the win total over developing a future that has a chance to have real success?
  17. On those teams, it didn't mean very much. The team had no talent and no depth on defense. Keith Ellison arguably wouldn't have started anywhere else in the NFL at that stage.
  18. I don't remember feeling very solid about our linebackers those two years.
  19. Just use "freefillableforms" that are provided by the IRS. You get a nice interface to fill out the forms, it does auto calculations for most steps to prevent any user error, and you can submit electronically at the end. 100% free and a lot faster than using the software which asks you 1000 unnecessary questions.
  20. I think with a lot of the strange incompletions under the current rule, the problem is that the receiver has become a ball carrier and makes "football moves", but they are still considered in the process of the catch because they were "going to the ground". Control of the ball after it is caught for a certain amount of time should allow the receiver to become a ball carrier without going all the way to the ground.
  21. I'm 26, am I still the younger generation? I thought it was pretty bad. I've always thought of Justin TImberlake as someone who is talented but whose music just isn't for me, but that was just unimpressive in general. Why is this 37 year old dancing at me with a mic in his hands while music plays in the background?
  22. Godfather from Dibella's. Cheese steak from Steve's Prince of Steaks.
