  1. ? Just getting the ball rolling. What don’t you like. Fix it for me!
  2. Let’s have some speculation fun and play with what some of the other teams are being quoted on at today’s press interviews from Combine. Let’s start with the Browns and how they end their QB search by drafting one at #1. But what happens to the 4th Pick? Hue Jackson quoted today “Having six of the first 65 picks is going to be a huge opportunity for us moving forward.” okay Hue. If Buffalo gives you 21 and 22 and a second rounder you could have not 6 of the first 65 picks, but EIGHT of the first 65 picks! Lol. 8 is better than 6. ? what type of Quarterback Room does he want? A Young Player (the first overall pick) and according to Hue, “You want a guy who’s been a veteran player, that’s played in the National Football League, that’s had a chance to win,” so if Cleveland can’t get any of the Viking 3 or McCarron. Buffalo could give you a starting NFL Qb at 10 million dollar salary with Buffalo swallowing that players $6 Million bonus! so Buffalo could boost Cleveland’s number of picks in the top 65 and provide a CHEAP Starting caliber QB. If You are Cleveland does Drafting Darnold and trading the 4th pick to then have in total Sam Darnold and Picks 21, 22, 33, 35, 53, 64, 65 and Tyrod Taylor. Look good as opposed to Sam Darnold and picks 4, 33, 35, 64, 65 ?
  3. Why? BecUse I root for a team that shut down its College Qb scouting reports and signed Fitzpatrick to a big deal after a couple of good games i root for a team whose GM refused to draft a QB and only admitted after being fired he should have done it but let other things (like the drought) Effect his thinking. lol im still recovering. Like a abused dog not willing to take the extended food from a new friendly owner.
  4. I just worry that the WC 9-7 will derail the team from fixing what really needs to be fixed. I feel other coaches (not just on this team) have fallen victim to the shinny object in front of their face and then imploded the next season.
  5. I think you can look at how some teams win and say...legit. i also feel you can look at how other teams win and say...fools gold. i just feel that the Bills were more fools gold in 2017 than legit. That doesn’t mean I put down the effort. They overachieved IMO. But I do seriously question of how they won is a consistent thing over a long haul.
  6. If we were 4-12 but that Rookie was playing at a high rookie level.
  7. What if we are a better team in 2018 with a worse record? How would that strike you?
  8. Very true. A middle of the road team exactly. That benefited from several breaks which literally swung games. i don’t want to see the Bills be like the 10-6 Jets who became the next season fell off the cliff or the Dolphins who in ‘16 were the WC and in ‘17 fell off cliff.
  9. The money quote that gives you hope we have finally found the right guy who can look at the situation, analyze the numbers and not just rest his ego on bottom line results. in someways when you say “we aren’t as good as you think we are” he is basically saying yeah we are 9-7 WC team but in several key stats we were worse in 2017 than we were in 2026 and the WC is largelt based on a missed call on a Matt Ryan fumble, a missed Adam Vineteri FG, and Andy Dalton. so do not expect that we are moving toward our window. In fact this quote leans toward preparing the fans for things to go slowly in season 2 and perhaps even backwards record wise (should it be with a rookie QB) Either way...recognizing the limitations and allowing that to influence your decisions is sound. sigh of relief!
  10. Would the Browns want to trade for Gronk? Would the Pats want the next QB and shock the league with the #4 Pick?
  11. Darnolds a coward and a cheat, a liar and a thief. ? ?
  12. FB Jamie Mueller #39/#41 he caught the game winning TD pass from Kelly in the first Bills game I ever went to. jets - 27 bills - 30.
  13. It is too bad we couldn’t find common ground. tell you what since you seem to believe the opposite...you send me a message when Darnold or Allen or mayfield are drafted by the Vikings simply sitting at 30. I won’t hold my breath I will be busy watching the draft and seeing teams trade up /pay the price / “Suffer” to move up and acquire that top talent and not wait or I will see teams that “suffered” in 2017 by being bad select that top talent. but I promise...I will keep one eye open for your text on Darnold to the Vikings.
  14. The goal is absolutely to draft the top prospects in any draft. And the only thing any professional franchise can attempt to control is their access to the most available top prospects in their drafts. And the higher up you are the more picks are left on the board. And you only get their by suffering. now buffalo choose to not suffer on the field. A solid 4-12 season would have been sufficient...but...a missed call here, a missed field goal their and Miami’s 4th string QB and they are 9-7... so now if they want cream of the crop QB Prospect they will suffer in another way by forgoing their draft capital to move up.
  15. I actually happen to agree that I don’t consider trading away many things as suffering...however judging from the unwillingness to do it from many media outlets around WNY I would say many fans consider it as a form of suffering.
  16. Ummm...lol...you really didn’t read the OP did you. Didn’t think so. buuuuuut. Trading away multiple picks also fell under suffering. and listening to enough fans and some media...trading up seems to be suffering in many people’s eyes. anyhing else? Or maybe you should go have a coffee and wake up?
  17. The Bills can stay at 21/22 and draft Jackson or Rudolph and they might become HOF, but they wouldn’t be considered the Top Prospects this Draft at the time of the draft. that is what this exercise is all about. The suffering a team needs to go through to secure the position for the top prospects. so when that guy said “wait” he is putting himself in literally Catch 22. He doesn’t want to trade and he doesn’t want to be bad but he still wants buffalo to get the top qbs in the draft next season. amd funny I’m not even saying you should suffer for the top guy, but if you want the top prospects you Re going to have to. In one form or another. greatness isn’t free.
  18. The post was in response to radio call who said we needed to wait until next season to draft a quarterback and my pointing out that you’ll be in the same situation next season unless you’re willing to again either be a bad team or trade up. But apparently reading comprehension is an issue around here and perhaps I picked the wrong spot to post these things. The title of the post leads the thought and the body of the text follows it if you can’t put together that the title is what I’m talking about when you need it spelled out A second time I can’t help that. I can edit it, But I think it’s probably better you just never read what I write again and never respond anything about again that’s probably the best and save me the headache of having to deal with this type of responses that don’t understand itBut I think it’s probably better you just never read what I write again and never respond anything about again that’s probably the best and save me the headache of having to deal with this type of responses that don’t understand it Not pointless at all. Probably the basis for the most important decision the sabres ever made and the type of decision teams in the nfl need to make to secure the top picks to land the best talent.
  19. Let’s not fight. But that would seem ridiculous to draft a QB anywhere in the first 3-4 rounds now,
  20. True. But if you want one there are only certain ways to do it. Be bad or trade up. the only way for sabres to get a top 2 Pick for Eichel was to be the worst team. the only way for Indy to draft Luck or Panthers to draft Newton or Indy to draft Manning was to be the worst the only way for falcons to draft Ryan or get giants to draft manning or chargers to draft rivers or rams to draft Goff was to SUFFER through a bad season. the only way for Washington to draft RG3 or Eagles to draft Wentz or Bears Trubisky was to Trade the goal is to draft the best prospect not the player who will be the best in the nfl because you can’t know the future but you can judge and rank the prosepcts in the present.
  21. by arguing against my point...people are basically saying that you can Get the TOP PRE DRAFT QB PROSPECTS by being good the season before and then just sitting pat until there turn in the draft. that is saying Minnesota cam just stay put and wait for Darnold or Allen to go to them.
  22. No shifting. The whole thread was based on trading up or being bad You just missed it.
  23. Trading away a lot of assets to move up sounds like suffering to many fans around here.
