  1. Problem is all our GMs always come in fresh and can never appreciate that we Buffalo fans have lived through the "we can build around or next year or journeyman" approach for two decades. What we need is to somehow implant all the failures of the past regimes into Beane's mind so he realizes this isn't our first rodeo when it comes to GMs trying to wow us with their philosophy. Keep it simple. It's the QB stupid.
  2. The Jets being so comfortable at #3 even in the face of two QBs already being gone. I still can't figure that out. Why are they so comfortable?
  3. I like Beane too. But who has more experience watching Gms get themselves fired by ignoring or out thinking the QB position than Buffalo Fans do? We should know this story if you want to pass the buck AGAIN on the position.
  4. Anything below #65 is pfft. THe Bills would be able to give them a total 3 First Round Picks.
  5. I think the Giants want Barkley, Barkley, Barkley. THAT is why they wouldn't move from #2 to #6, because Barkley would never make it past the Browns #4. But if Buffalo can get to #4 by loading up the Browns draft vault with additional picks, then perhaps they can get to #2 with the Giants. So it would look like... 1.) Browns - Darnold 2.) Bills - QB 3.) Jets - QB 4.) Giants - Barkley (yep they still get Barkley and some Draft Picks from Buffalo) And the Browns would then leave the 1st Round with Sam Darnold, and Picks #12, #22.
  6. They will let Buffalo return in 2019 and 2020 and beyond to draft more players. You don't lose your rights to return to the draft.
  7. Still feel Buffalo should be looking to move to #4 with the Browns and fill up the Browns Draft Capital a little bit more. Then once at #4 see if we can leap frog the Jets and move to #2. Then it can be: Browns - Darnold Bills - QB Jets QB Giants - Barkley.
  8. Only thing I will add to that is WGR brought on a guy who covered Allen and his defense was similar to yours. In that Completion % on it's own is dangerous. You do not know (unless you watch the tape) just what type of passes QBs are attempting. He seemed to make the argument that Allen was attempting less than favorable "pad your Completion %" types of throws.
  9. Stay put at 12. Start McCarron. Ride him to a 1-5 record. Buckle under pressure and toss in either Peterman or your 1st Round QB Pick (who isn't ready). Finish 3-13 and then have Another High First Round Draft pick. Then hear calls from fans and pressure from ownership to draft another QB in 2019. And potentially be fired. This wheel starts to roll...if Beane doesn't undo the damage done today.
  10. Maybe you should have written this thread. I also understaood what his original point is, but his position is poorly worded. As it stands, it comes off like the philosophy of trading up would make them nuts.
  11. I know. But apparently the OP missed since he is writing saying the GM and Head Coach are not crazy and wouldn't trade up in the draft. *Hint* They already did. And neither were with great confidence. JP was the 4th QB taken and a panic move. EJ they actually traded away from and down a few spots before taking him.
  12. guess this thread should be closed then.
  13. Question. How did they go from 21 & 22 to 12 & 22 ?
  14. For 3-4 months these QBs are picked apart under a microscope by every analyst, blogger, fan, analytic website, mock draft service and would be Gm. everyone is going to have a fault. Everyone. But let’s say for arguments sake that there is a perfect candidate... you wouldnt be be able to draft them unless you go 2-14 or worse. are you willing to sign off on going 2-14 or worse right now? then step up and sign up.
  15. This would have been before last season and McDerrmott pitching him to return.
  16. Let’s say they are screwed (it feels like it.) it all started when the Bills decided to stick with Taylor and not bring in a Brian Hoyer or worse. That was the one move that was a catalyst to which brought us to today. no Tyrod...we could have not pushed Kyle to return...and still executed all the other moves. a team with no Taylor, Kyle Williams, Marcel Dareus, Sammy Watkins...etc would have effectively delivered a 5-11 record.
  17. This is such a potential Optics nightmare for Beane unless he secures the #2 overall pick. Of course optics isn't and doesn't have to mean the truth, but they will sure feel like the truth unless.
  18. "Only now...at the end, do you understand." ...that's from Star Wars, but today should hammer home any lingering doubts.
  19. I think we need to see how consistently Foles, Keenum or Bortles will continue to be the starting quarterbacks in the big playoff games.
  20. Aaron Rodgers. yes maybe I am too much whorshiping #12 but packers were 4-1 before Vikes took out Rodgers and 3-8 after. I like the revenge factor and I like the under dog position the packers will be playing from. and I also don’t know how the VikIngs team will respond with having to play with “favorites” label going into the season.
  21. IF Josh Allen is the Pick then I just would like to see what happens if a QB is tucked away and allowed to work on his own game. he won’t be distracted by weekly prep as a starter, or going to school and what not. His job for 1 season and maybe 2 would be solely building his own game. then when he goes in, IF it works, Buffalo then has a QB until 2034.
  22. This is perfect. McCarron is easily startable but just as easily be replaceable. This smells like a Wilson/Flynn/Seahawks situation.
  23. Looking better with each passing tweet.
