  1. I think we are seeing what it has been like to be a Wyoming Fan the past 4 years. ? marveling at the talent, big plays and excitement and then at the same time searching for reasons for lack of results.
  2. Allen poise and attitude definitely makes it look like he is big enough (not just physically) to play at the next level. one of the things with Allen that is so exciting about Allen...is that he is exciting to watch. He is a very Boom or Bust player on drives. Take that one drive where I think he let it fly on 3 straight plays...those were all very exicting to see the ball fly and it gets your heart and imagination pumping. BUT they were all incomplete. So going into his 2nd year his results are going to have to match his excitement potential. for all the excitement...Allen still had pretty average stat line today. Barley cracking 200 yards passing with 1 TD and 50% completion. Ehhh. But still so early.
  3. Sal is a glass half full, rose colored glasses, lifetime Bills Fan/Homer who also works for the team as sideline reporter. Dont hold your breath waiting for him to go full blast on the record about the bills. BUT i have always figured that if get guys like Murph or Sal OFF THE RECORD in a social setting they might be more critical and honest about the team than they woudl when they are on he payroll.
  4. Pulling for all outcomes to give Browns, Colts and Packers a shot in the Playoffs. if not them then Miami and Minnesota.
  5. What can I say I am at Ryan Tannehill fan. I root for the guy. he gets so much crap from his own fans, the media and opponent fans. No one respects him. and yet I’ve seen him go into Pittsburgh in a blizzard and win. I’ve seen him do better against Tom Brady then almost any other QB alive. he got the dolphins to playoffs or serious playoff contention in the 2 straight seasons he has played. I think was gets my attention are the articles by his own home town writers saying “Dolphins should want Allen over Tannehill.” Allen has infinite higher ceiling and might be great and way better than Tannehill. BUT and I’m sorry that is some serious BS uncalled for Headline coming off your QB throwing 3 Touchdowns and beating a division opponent. since Miami’s Bye Tannehill is 47/68 for 606 yards, 7 Tds to 1 INT and a 2-1 record, one of them over Tom Brady. if Tannehill were a Bill our fans would be seeing red with all the junk and shade that is thrown his way. So I root for him just to shut up the haters. now watch him get smoked in Minnesota on Sunday! ?
  6. As a joke I was going to start to call Allen...Taller Tyrod. results still don’t seem to feel much different. Under 300 yard thrower with running numbers. Only 1-2 Tds a game. Offense still at the bottom of the league in offense and scoring. 1-2 deep balls a game and those are usually incomplete. thats Taylor as a veteran and Allen as a rookie. Which I guess is a positive as Allen as rookie is producing like Taylor as a vet. excpet for completion percentage which Taylor has him on.
  7. I would be happy with anyone of the 5 right now. Each one has a number of strengths each team can build off of. it all comes down to which one can flip some of their Scouting Report flags to positives. One area I like with Darnold and Rosen is they seemingly fit the mold closer to the type of QB that is usually in or winning the Super Bowls. Strictly Pocket Passers with limited mobility. just need better lines to protect them.
  8. Ummmm ???? did they intentionally mean to make that so hilarious? Its 3 minutes of McDermott clapping and cheering and good plays then they have Murph “And Jets Win.” ?
  9. I actually had a daydream nightmare yesterday Lions related. Josh Allen was our QB years from now...but he had the same career path as Matthew Stafford. Moments of jaw dropping epicness and then periods of head bashing stupidity and inconsistency. The Radio Shows, Message Boards were just blood baths with fan on fan violence over the validity of Allen. all this happened in my mind as I drove from South Towns to Buffalo. ?
  10. I wouldn’t know first hand obviously but I have heard it mentioned that once your in season it’s harder for coordinators to make large adjustments within that week because it’s like a machine. You play then you review then on to next opponent. It’s only in the off season when you have a better opportunity to truely see all your competition in a better light when your not worried about record or injuries and the like.
  11. This is all being rushed too soon. Way too early to tell simply because the NFL Defensive Coordiantors still haven’t had their chance to counter move yet. I said the same thing with Tyrod. Tyrod made his move in Season 1 and showed the league his game. Then Defensive Coordiantors had a full off season to work on a response for Season 2. Where Taylor failed is he never had a response to the Defensive Coordinators counter move. Allen will finish this season and put his game on tape. Then next season the defense coordinators will have their say and it will be up to Allen to have a counter move. then we will have a better idea
  12. Saints vs. Chiefs Super Bowl just took a turn in a very favorable direction after today.
  13. Yeah...this is the same narrative he had in Wyoming. Having to hero ball it up all alone while possessing Atheltic Big Body with incredible arm and amazing running ability but concerns with decision making, Accuracy and clutchness now he needs to evolve from this.
  14. Stick with Allen. Every Blue Chip QB should get at least 2 seasons. I will say though Allen as been nearly exacting like all his Draft Scouting Reports indicated. All the same strengths and all the same weakness...including the hero ball and shouts that he has no help. all of it has made the trip from Wisconsin to Buffalo. Now he needs to begin to flip the script on his Career Narrative starting soon.
  15. Yes. To see Allen develop into a surgeon-Esque Quarterback. to allow him to use these 3 games to experiment with all different sorts of throws. but if he is simply going to run for the sake of a first down pick up...I don’t like his ability to learn or develop as much if he throws more.
  16. Im sorry but it’s true. he learns nothing and does not grow by running. He simply avoids the type of the plays that QBs need to learn how to make at the highest level. Maybe several more L’s will make you see it.
  17. Is your blueprint to trade UP for a Quarterback and then trust him so little that on 3rd down you dial up a WR pass to the QB? if so please submit your resume to all other 31 teams. that sort of play calling is embarrassing. Allen should be working on those plays and throwing and learning
  18. The Blueprint is out...it’s been out. Force Allen to be a Quarterback and throw from the Pocket. He’s league worst for throwing on 3rd down and picking up the first down. He needs to STOP RUNNING. And work on his craft.
  19. Upper Deck on the Away Side. Me and a family member sat up top, the others were sitting in the scoreboard away corner side. first to admit I wanted to bail at half time. But was told very firmly that the folks didn’t pay money and wait in line during the week for me to bail at halftime.
  20. This was a fun game to be at! Of course being pretty young, 8 years old, the memories aren’t all crystal clear. Some plays here and there. AND I recall the Halftime Band was Cancelled so they could plow the field. I do recall that my family had a deal though, I got to go to the Divisonal Game but another family member took the second ticket to the Raiders Championship game. Had to pick which one I wanted to go to. Think I made out alright! ?
  21. This isn’t a question that needs to be answered THIS season, but it is something to follow... Can JOSH ALLEN improve his, %First Down, Pass on 3rd Down. On a whim I looked it up... Josh Allen is 18/60 for 30% putting him in dead last in the NFL. I would like to see improvement on these 3rd down throws.
  22. I put Darnold in here because I am orettt much convinced all these guys have the right stuff. its just who is going to get the right coaching staff to unlock it. Like McVay unlocked in Goff or Nagy is unlocking in Trubisky or Reid with Mahomes. Darnold, right now is stuck on a team with a first time/some say in over his head Offensive Coordinator, No Talent Around him and a Defensive Minded Head Coach. Now how much can change in one offseason? The Jets could find a Offensive Minded Head Coach who is and/or hires a innovated offensive coordinator. The jets do have similar spending money to Buffalo and they could also score offensive talent in Free Agency. Then there is the draft. im not guaranteeing it. But if the Jets try to work the Rams/Bears model their entire offense could look radically different by next year. And as wobbly as you say Darnold has looked to...don’t you think there were Seahawk, Cardinal, Eagle fans all snickering about chow bad Goff looked under Fisher?
  23. Going to toss Baker into this too. I think it’s pretty simple. Mayfield/Darnold teams are going to remove their Defensive Minded Head Coach and go on the hunt for the next Sean McVay/Matt Nagy. if either, both hit on their coaching search, those 2 Quarterbacks futures would seem to me to be the brightest.
  24. Best to just be patient before stamping Allen with any label. its a long road with so many on the field AND off the field hurdles that Allen will have to face and succeed with. Many of them he won’t be faced with in the next four games or even next season. Its a journey filled with so many dangers and trials. so Wait and see for me,
