About Tom Brady and the Patriots
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady/Bellichick/ Pats have always been a good scape goat for fellow BillsMafia to explain away why our team is one of the worst franchises in the 21st Century. -
About Tom Brady and the Patriots
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady is always a good example to show that people enjoy a good rags to riches, underdog story...as long you don’t have too much success in the process. There are limits to how much you can have apparently. -
Jets select Adam Gase as HC
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Having watched some of his Dolphins Post Games...Gase is a very akward guy at the podium who hides under his hat. Which is pulled down as far as it can go where sometimes all you see is mouth moving. I would suspect...you put some people in a ball cap, with a jacket and sweat pants and put them out on the football field...they are going to be normal and pretty good coach. You put the same person in a suit and tie, take away theie security blanket (the hat) and tell them to stand in front of lights and cameras...they might de-evolve. My wife has a very public profession where she is required to talk to many people out in social settings and she’s great at it...BUT you ask her to talk about herself in front of a group of people and she becomes a disaster. Anxiety, fear of public speaking, shyness. Some sort of combination I would think. -
How long to close the competitive gap?
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to Ga boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People want to talk about expectations. Let the league/Allen’s contemporaries set the bar on what those expectations will be. The previous FIVE 1st Round QBs have ALL in their SECOND SEASONS guided their teams to DIVISION TITLES. Goff, Wentz, Trubisky, Mahomes, Watson. Thats the realistic bar for the BUFFALO BILLS if they Are serious. Maybe they really aren’t serious. Or maybe they will set it lower for fear of being forced to start over again. But that is the bar set. -
How long to close the competitive gap?
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to Ga boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very far. McDermotts Offense points per game 2017 - 17.9 2018 - 16.8 Top Points per Game Teams 2016 1. Falcons 2. Saints 3. Pats SUPER BOWL Pats v. Falcons 2017 1. Rams 2. Pats 3. Eagles SUPER BOWL Pats v. Eagles 2018 1. Chiefs 2. Rams 3. Saints 4. Pats SUPER BOWL Two of those four. So if you mean to compete for wild cards/playoffs maybe not too far. For the big prize? Far. -
https://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/fl-sp-dolphins-marvin-allen-20190113-story.html As the Dolphins prepare to take the deep dive to the bottom of the NFL with 1-2 seasons of 3-13’s they won’t be going before poaching one of Buffalo’s young talent evaluators. Hopefully, he wasn’t too valuable to us and becomes very valuable for them.

Updated: Flores new Phins HC
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Flores seems like a young, level headed guy who is a leader of men. Plus having experience with scouting and years coaching All Three Sides of the Ball, along with 14 seasons under Bellichk...May make him one of the most deserving/prepared New Head Coaches hired so far in 2019. I like it for them. If true. -

Good for him! ? i was speaking more in relation to the Offensive Coaches who have been hired this week. (Although I didn’t really look up any of their backgrounds.) -

Thanks for posting this. Immediately went to YouTube to watch some interviews/chats he did with reporters and kids. Interesting choice if he is the one. With sudden run on Offense, many have pointed out how many of those guys have limited experience. Flores was quick to point out that having never played in the NFL (due to injury) he joined Pats right out of college. So he has been around the dynasty for almost all of it. im also not sure if another head coach who have dipped their toes on all areas of football. Flores has worked on Patriots Scouting, Offense and Special Teams. So he is pretty well rounded Defensive Coach. fascinating hire IMO (if they do it.) -

Jets select Adam Gase as HC
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your going to have to find me that article. I really can’t imagine Miami was projected to make it in 2017 with Cutler OR in 2018 after dumping Suh and Landry. -

But the Dolphins were competive in that time. 10-6 WILD CARD in first season with combo of Tannehill and Matt Moore. Second Season...dumpster fire, BUT lost Tannehill and had Cutler or Worse. Third Season, in Wild Card contention until Week 16. it just needs to be said that Bills fans really have no leg to stand on when dissing Gase as he had better results And the head to head was 3-3 so it’s a push on that. Fans need perspective Or worse. Who wS that guy who played QB against buffalo in week 17 of 2018? -

15-17 Overall Record 4-8 in AFC East 1 Playoff Appearnce and 0-1 in Playoffs Whoops that is Coach McDermotts Record. actually in Miami Gase through two seasons was 16-16 Overall Record 6-6 in AFC East 1 Playoff Appearnce and 0-1 in Playoffs Just two sides of the same coin. -
Kingsbury finalizing AZ HC deal
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is a new trend but it’s also each team doing everything they can to make the most of their First Round QB investment. No team should be criticized for prioritizing their R now Year 2 QBs:, That goes for acquiring the talent On the field and the talent off the field. Rams got Goff McVay and a number of FA Signings and in Goff’s 2nd Season he was the division winner Beara got Trubisky Nagy and a Number Of FA Signings and in Trubiskys 2nd Season he was the division winner. Also both teams dumped their old Defensive Minded Coaches the season before. So it HAS yielded results. So who will it be in 2019. The 2nd Year QB with a Offensive Minded Coach and Money to spend? Mayfield, Darnold or Rosen? i tip my hat to the owners who are willing to just play this game the way it is being played. -

Josh Rosen’s career might just as well have been saved today. good to see all these teams with 2018 ROOKIE QBs dumping their stale and old defenses coaches and looking to score big with Young Offensive Minds. -
Packers to hire Titans OC Matt LeFleur
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A extremely exciting and positive hire for the Packers. Who knew they would be both bold and smart with this decision. Here I was worried they would bring in a out dated silverback. Nope! They went Young. They went Offense. They went smart. First, they picked the right side of the ball to focus on their HC selection. Offense, Offense, Offense. You want your fans to be be happy? To make the playoffs? To be the next Eagles, Chiefs, Rams, Bears? They picked the side of the ball. Second, New HC has strong pedigree and comes from the right Coaching Tree. You’ve learned under Shanahan, Kubiak and especially McVay? All I need to hear. Tells me you know how this game should be played and you are an innovated playcaller. Third, results. Developed Matt Schaub into a Pro Bowl QB. Interegal part of Matt Ryan’s MVP season. Was on the ground floor when McVay and his staff laid the foundation for all the awesomeness that is happening in LA. Fourth, Rodgers is going to feel rejuvenated with a breath of fresh air as this guy brings youth, energy, new ideas and innovation to what has become a very stale product in Green Bay. (That’s not to say McCarthy won’t work with Browns or Jets. Those are two young QBS who may need some tried and true philosophy’s to allow them to grow.) but Rodgers needs an injection of the new wave of Coaches. Packers ready to play ball the way it is supposed to be played in 2019. Good things happening in Green Bay. -
