  1. I don’t think home field advantage is overblown all the time. Sometimes it is based on the opponent. Having to read For years the fans saying “ohhh! The Ralph I Will rocking! Brady won’t know what hit him!!!!” Yeah...that gets tired fast. Considering certain accomplished QBs have played in bigger moments against better teams than ever produced in Buffalo. So coming to Buffalo, isn’t really too detrimental for a certain level of QB. i don’t entirely think it’s a coincidence Buffalo beat Andy Dalton, Brandon Allen, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Dwayne Haskins at home but lost to Carson Wentz, Lamar Jackson and Tom Brady.
  2. San Fran is a familiar spot for Goff. He plays there every season. Same climate conditions and Time zone. And it’s a familiar opponent. kind of like buffalo vs New England. There is just enough familiarity that despite one team being better, the games are always close enough. but this is more about crowd impact on the function of a opposing offense. Just feel offenses will run smoother on the road with no fans.
  3. In a game with fans, there is usually Crowd Noise when either team has the ball. To different levels. And in most stadiums, crowd noise increases based on down, score, time in the game. Which is is al different. can you trust the home team to pump in the proper crowd noise? Or will say the Steelers pump in crowd noise as if every opposing team play was 3rd and Goal with a minute to go. wouldnt be fair I see
  4. To add on, I immediately think of the RAMS home game. You sometimes think does your guy or your opponent have the ‘intangibles’ to thrive in a hostile environment or will the wires in his brain fire out. I look at Jared Goff...in Buffalo, up against that defense and 70,000 screaming fans...I think he is screwed. Maybe a final score of 31-16 for Buffalo. i beleive the atmosphere would swallow him up. Other opposing QBs I think aren’t effected that much. When Russell Wilson comes to Buffalo I’m not expecting him to be effected at all by the noise or fans. He should be fine. But in an EMPTY stadium...with no outside influence or sensory assault from fans...I feel Goff will do better. Still pick Buffalo to win, but that is an example I think of for certain type of player benefiting from no fans.
  5. Now that COVID has entered a single WHITE HOUSE, whose making a case that 32 teams are going to ALL stay healthy?
  6. Home Opener...Jets v. Bills (can’t recall if Fans or not) - Buffalo attempting a 60 yard field goal into the Tunnel Side. FAKE! Holder (couldn’t see who it was) throws it down the sideline and caught by Darryl Johnson for a TOUCHDOWN! - I go to bathroom and when I come back apparently Buffalo went for 2pointer. Success! 8-0. - Later in 1st half...Darnold driving Jets inside Buffalo 10. Throws to back of end zone...INTERCEPTED! - At Halftime Jets - 0 Buffalo - 8. (So pretty realistic so far! ? ? ?) Dream ended. Anyone else have any based on schedule?
  7. it’s always about ‘can a team take the next step’? In 2019 Buffalo OWNED the middle tier to bottom tier teams in regards to QB talent. 8-0 with wins against Ryan Fitzpatrick (twice), Dwayne Haskins, Brandon Allen, Delvan Hodges, Andy Dalton, Eli Manning, Marcus Mariota. But against the Top Tier, the entrenched Starters, or “The Stars”, 2-6, with wins against Sam Darnold and Dak Prescott. BUT ALL LOSES against Carson Wentz, Tom Brady (twice), Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, DeShaun Watson. 2019 was a great moment of a wonderful defense playing against some of the worst offenses/QBs. I mean at one point during 2019, DVOA projected the Buffalo Bills to finish with the easiest schedule faced by any defense EVER. With a Current record is 1992 Chargers (-10.9%). The narrative for 2019 was They play the Stars and they lose (mostly). They play the average or worse guys and they win. Buffalo got a lot of credit for beating DALLAS as a sign they could beat “Good Teams” but then after that lost to the Ravens, Patriots and Texans while only averaging 17 Points Per Game. What does it mean for 2020? Well it boils down to what has been a consistent pattern? Under Coach McDermott, on Offense, it’s been lack of POINTS. POINTS, POINTS, POINTS Coach McDermotts offenses have never broke the 20 points per game average in 50 Games. When your Opponent is say Brandon Allen, nobody worries that your offense goes into Halftime with a score of 6-0. Because you don’t worry your defense will give up a touchdown. So it’s okay for your offense to do nothing. It HAS to get better because the OPPONENT QUARTERBACK TALENT is going to improve in 2020. Right now, before seeing if Allen has gotten any better or the impact of Diggs, based solely on who this team is... 8-8 to 9-7 record. BUT it’s MAY! Lol.
  8. Sensationalize? I wouldn’t say that. All these games and the talent is usually so even. And even when it’s a good team vs a bad team it ends up coming down to 5-6 plays or some bounce or some little thing. Steelers play at home thanksgiving. Then they get extra rest and have another home game against Washington. Then they get a full week followed by a 3 hour trip to Buffalo. There is a difference maker right there. A little thing.
  9. NYJ - W @Mia - W LAR - W @LV - L @ Titans - W KC - L @NYJ - L NE - W Sea - L @Arizona - W LAC -W @SF - L PIT - L @DEN - L @NE- W MIA - W 9-7
  10. Strange what no fans might do to some games. Jared Goff in a Sold out New Era I would give zero chance to him exiting that offense. In a empty New Era and allowed to easily conduct the plays...who knows.
  11. No sir. 2020. still waiting to see if McDermott offense can hit the magic 20 points per game. And factoring in the bills will return from San Fran 4am -5am Tuesday morning and then in 5 days have to play a fully rested Steelers team and then hop right back on a plane and fly to the mountain region and the altitudes of Denver
  12. 49ers game will feel like Buffalo is playing at 1130 pm. Game will end and buffalo players won’t be back in buffalo until Tuesday until what? 4am? Then it’s right back On the plane to Altitude Denver. then right back to New England.
  13. First glance... Hardest Stretch looks to be 49ers through Patriots - Monday Night in San Fran - 5 Day Later against Steelers - off to Denver in the Altitude - Finish off with Pats right now got maybe 1 win in that stretch.
  14. Neither Allen or Darnold have shown that cold blooded killer instinct to put the dagger into their good friends heart when playing against each other. Maybe that’s a Millennial/Generation Z psychological thing that just prevents either from really TKO the other. 2018 - Allen couldn’t put Darnold away up 14-3 2019 - Darnold couldn’t put Allen away up 16-0 i get that...some of my worst golf or poker is against my best friends...just don’t want to embarrass them or pulverize them. i expect many close games between the great friends. Based partially on their unwillingness to finish the other off.
  15. Jets v Bills Week 1 Storyline: ”Can Buffalo put an end to Darnold’s winning ways in Orchard Park?”
  16. Seems the way to go. No point in caring THAT MUCH over who wins or loses a game. Its a non-essential profession after all. So basically just entertainment.
  17. Limited Capacity Social Distant Seating Temperature Check to every one who enters DWI Check to everyone who enters No alcohol sold in stadium Facial Masks required and that is to go along with the already imposed security checks.
  18. I think the NFL will be forced to have no fans due to several states governors rightfully not allowing it and to keep the playing field even. all home games will have to have no fans until states like New York and California with their governors would be willing to allow groups of large sizes
  19. Very true. Defensive has taken a few loses. Maybe they have factored that in along with plying in a very weak division when it comes to offense, that a good defense might be enough as long as Stidham can get you to 20-23 points. I mean you go against the bills and the jets the dolphins your mindset Hass to be I can get to 20 to 23 points I have a better than 50-50 shot of winning that ball game.
  20. 2010 (by a mile) Started the season 0-8. Starter was benched. Owner Ralph Wilson went on the record saying Buddy Nix he one job, Find a QB in the Draft. Then what happened? Fitz went 4-4 final 8 games. Buffalo finished 4-12. Dropped to 3rd Overall in Draft. Missed out on Cam Newton. Drafted Marcel Dareus. Did Buffalo Draft a QB...nope! proably the most frustrating part was having to read on sites like this all the “FOOTBALL EXPERTS” say that Fitz was the guy and all he needed was more time with Gailey. WOW!
  21. Belichick Records against: Sean McDermott is 6-0 Adam Gase is 6-2 Ryan Fitzpatrick is 11-3 Rookie QBs at Home is 11-0 Can he get 20-23 points out of Stidham and trust that his defensive prowess can shut down what has seemingly always shut down his AFC East Opponents? That May be what he is banking on.
  22. 4th of July Festivals in East Aurora, North Tonawanda and West Seneca all got cancelled within the past day I believe. So it just keeps going deeper into the summer heading towards Fall.
  23. from what I gather he had 16 total Fumbles in 2019. 7 of those were tagged when Allen was deemed to be Rushing. so 7 fumbles While running 9 fumbles while passing
  24. 2019 - Josh Allen 16 Overall Fumbles which ranked him 3rd Overall while RUSHING he fumbled 5 in 2018 and 7 in 2019. Cam has had a total of 25 fumbles total in 8 seasons and some change. So if Allen keeps trucking...hold onto to the ball better. More like Cam does.
