Reid's not doing it only if it's a close game he can coach a steamrolling of an opponent, so can Pete Carroll -

took me awhile but i learned to not even begin to bother, most of the time, with the non-stop patter that they feel must clog up every telecast, just let it wash over you like the waves of the ocean if this isn't tolerable then realize it's a national broadcast and they want to hype up every single play to keep people watching for the ads in the 4th quarter if this isn't tolerable turn off the volume and listen to something you enjoy and watch the game, they tell you almost nothing you didn't just see if you were paying attention

can't believe the Steelers found 3 QBs this season who will stand in the pocket and throw the ball downfield, the talent level shrunk as it went down the list, but the Bills haven't jumbled together 3 like this in 20 seasons

i much enjoy all the "cast off" talent that has the best podcasts on their own (usually through Simmons) i only tune in when stuck in a hotel room with time to burn and i have to preserve all my energy

it's amazing how WFAN has remained mostly civil and enjoyable for 3 decades now, i posit that having Somers as the voice of the station, and his classy patter, has helped?

there's no "us" in football, beyond who is producing today, and some sentimental holding onto a rusty vet

and as the years have piled on and Macca has spoken more eloquently and emotionally on John's death, and realizing his time in a Japanese prison would have weighed on him, and probably other "unsocial" means of coping with stresses at that time, and he collaborated with John to produce (to me) the greatest catalogue in pop/rock history... gave us a few gems himself in that bunch.... nah... it's still the worst hack of a song... (from the first verse I always assumed it was a cheap make-out song)

Sparty took an early 8-0 lead at Northwestern and couldn't shake off the home team, won easily but a good game. Winston led the charge with 20+ and NW frosh Boo Buie went on a heat check for more points than that in the loss, his brother who plays at Penn St was on hand and enjoying it all. Nicknames of Dirt and Baba come to mind.
