  1. will Trump take any of Cali, NY, IL, WA, OR??? or Texas (shudder....)
  2. it's nice to have nice things after 20 years and another generation of new fans has to learn that men who watch sports tend to.... tinker mentally with any given situation, even when a team wins multiple titles, it's what we do...
  3. best cat entertainment viewing is the Reddit site about them being a**holes
  4. probably finishing off a Masters degree this year, that will be thousands of pages of reading for months on end, should help reduce watching TV only because i'm bored...
  5. did his reflection show up in the mirror?
  6. lots of people in my life like to think someone is "nice" and that's all that matters, "he smiles all the time" people grinning without a reason are holding back an atom bomb of resentment and hurt, one day it will go kaboom! and i will never be convinced Michael Jordan wasn't coerced into some time off to work off outside "issues"
  7. Schoolhouse Rocks ads were on during childhood, they made good use of jazz artists my favourite overall starring Grady Tate... it took a long time to get it banned due to smoking (let alone animal cruelty) as well it taught children an alternate means of counting by nines instead of rote memorization, can't have that!!!
  8. back in the day when Sudeikis was studying Biden for his SNL impersonation he said there was nothing there but a brainless toothy-grinned man who knew how lucky he was to cling to a good job now he can have Joe undergo the elimination of TFG, or touchy feely games...
  9. Vancouver and Toronto just kind of popped up when the league wanted expansion, unfortunately the Grizz was stuck in the highly competitive West and couldn't get any grounding, the East was far more accommodating to a bad team. This season is possibly the first time in at least 30 years that the East overall shows signs of catching up with the West for talent?? I'm always wary of people who publicly present like a shy and peaceful grinning nice-guy but in private are raging loons with 10 curse words per 15 spoken..... Stern's outbursts were legendary...
  10. didn't even go that far, Steve Harvey has never inspired me to voluntarily go out of my way to watch to each their own, I'm trying to reduce vegging in front of the screen in 2020.... not bloody likely TV (and radio before it) keeps telling us that everything presented in the name of comedy is hilarious and the highest form of thought derived by mankind....
  11. are all prime time game numbers good just because that's all the football there is on TV? fans will watch ANYTHING if it's the only game on don't let your happiness be based on dreaming that people all over the world, who aren't Bills fans, are tuning in.... it's not a hill to die on....
  12. it's been a good thing to boost awareness of recycling and looking into alternative energy sources things have come a long way
  13. nothing learned in a classroom lasts more than 5 seconds after the person talking finishes
  14. there were no serious plans for an NBA team in Toronto when the Braves and Celtics were cratering. Toronto brought in ABA exhibition games, the Braves, the Globetrotters, but nothing serious was even contemplated until the 1990s
  15. societies that provide free elections AND a free market have a proven tendency to provide better lives for those below the upper 5%
  16. College doubleheaders were fun to watch. Braves played a handful of games in Toronto each year, and good opponents, got to see Maravich and Havlicek Came close to the C's going west, they were garbage at this time, getting ready to steal Bird and Parish and build a dynasty to last a decade
  17. it's a move with 20/20 hindsight the team has earned a playoff spot for the first time in 20 years, still improvements to be made the franchise seems to be committed to taking the next steps, but then again at least14 teams are committed as well, they will improve and hope to fill in the vacancy left by the Pats Dynasty falling apart.
  18. the Blue Jays dumped Bobby Cox when they made the playoffs, realized he was a total zero as a manager in the playoffs, made the change and won 2 titles
  19. how so? have you been around to watch a franchise go from nothing to Champions a few times? Please list them so you have some base as a fan for watching this great process..... if none, then stay quiet in your little corner... takes various steps to get there, and then to get to the top
  20. third tenant at the Aud? LOL they had a solid team that was well supported, they were never getting past Big E and Hondo, then completely destroyed the talent in town overnight.
  21. to jump from playoff achieving to serious title contender will have to require some heartless moves at just the right time dumping McD and bringing in a coach who has "been there" might be one of them
  22. when Brady retires the Pats will crater, the Jets and Fish stink so 7 wins would be enough to win the division and you can load manage an 11 win team down to 7 wins under that structure
  23. guys like that can't stay away from game planning 20 hours a day i figure he was asked to leave and the school settled for a mid-level punishment as a bargaining chip
