Bills least valuable NFL franchise per Forbes
row_33 replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
some people are so liquid rich they don't care what they paid for a franchise, the return is meaningless to them (for now.... that can change...) a group of investors, as Bon Jovi or Trump would have led, would be a lot more insistent on a profit margin, as you wisely state during the last NFL work action, the owners were not allowed to allocate received TV $$$$ as deferred income, so that got almost all back to the table immediately to settle the value of an entity is determined as best as one can at a given time, we have almost made a science of it, i do some work in the field but prefer working in forensic accounting, i prefer reconstructing actual events of the past over hypotheticals like a PRIVATE business value at present, a better estimation of the value of a public entity is always there for you through the stock price but when crunch time comes to sell a lot of factors can change the calculated value considerably, desperation to sell, newly formed war zone, Ralph's kids have no interest in it and want out now.... a lot of NBA teams went for a song not that long ago.... i had a decent little hockey card collection that I couldn't give away to card shops, went to a Country Club shindig and sold it for $1,500 because someone's brat insisted on it... -
yeah but the Giants are pitiful at DB, that was disgraceful.... inertia forces you to put your horrible lineup out there even if you are nowhere near ready to honestly play that day

i'd count Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area in the Bills market for TV and potential ticket buyers in business valuations for a private sale you have the concept of a Special Purchaser who might be insane enough to offer, out of the blue and needlessly, 3 times what the nearest bidder would dare. they are wonderful things to enter your business transactions, the Clippers was another one where the purchase was silly beyond value because the purchaser simply didn't care sometimes a Special Purchaser can't win, Michael Jackson couldn't buy the Elephant Man's Bones, a certain great hockey player from my hometown couldn't get the elderly couple living at the house he wanted to take multiples of the appraisal value.... -
maybe a 10-pound bag meant the UK price, not the US weight.... just thought of that...

whoop dee doo on how they value it, it's meaningless when you have to sell is all that matters, amazing how recent years were very very lean for ownership trying to sell pro sports franchises -
nice of the Giants to not bother with Beasley at all, let him stay open 20 yards downfield a few times... don't count on this happening again this season
-
Stevie Wonder played it all on a few albums of the 70s, and they are still masterpieces it was nice of George to give him It Don't Come Easy for a top hit Ringo had a half-dozen solo hits, my favourite (for the concept of a 10-pound bag of cocaine...)

how can you hate on Ringo? I Wanna Be Your Man is very good Don't Pass Me By, both mono and stereo mixes, are a perfect eclectic addition to Side Two His overt country&western covers on the early albums helped counterbalance the semi-C&W songs of John and Paul during that phase, besides C&W got superhot for rock acts like Dylan, Stones, Byrds, Grateful Dead... Ringo was a pioneer... George and John sent R to try to placate Paul during the breakup, and Paul blasted him mercilessly on the doorstep.... it was over.... don't say anything remotely thoughtful or critical about Abbey Road on here..... even if 2/3 of AR was filler....

KICK, not kickers, then Jan Stenerud would have to be named....

The Monday Night Football schedule is hot garbage

I'm slicing back on watching things anyways, finishing off a Masters Degree by the end of next summer, it hurt losing every important soccer game to an online streaming company but that's life. -

just conjecture about collecting data from viewers, which is a big deal to Amazon & Friends. i'm sort of braced for losing cable viewing any day now for any sports event i used to enjoy..... -
Is Some Respect Starting to Come the Bills Way ?

not bragging but the Bills had better be 3-0, and how many are likely to join them?? -
tOSU has been a worthy opponent for almost every season I've watched since 1973... had to be a couple of bummers in there but can't think of a year offhand Iowa is a demoralizing visit but the fans are far from being total ****heads was glad to see Bielema (sp) fall flat on his face at Arkansas after thinking he was a football god running the ball the whole time against hapless opponents

Buffalo Bills to fans on game day: Behave or be gone
row_33 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the biggest security enforcement of my season ticket years was a useless Saturday night game in December versus the Broncos and they were patting people down and confiscating paper bags that fans were going to wear on their heads fortunately lots were snuck in and ESPN was able to capture a section with a lot of bag-wearing fans for a shot -
on average only 2 teams repeat as a division winner for the 7 "non-Pats" divisions

if you don't have any $$$ interest in the score or stats, or are not a real fan of the teams, you will be committed for watching this game the NFC East is the darling of the ad-men and the viewing demographics i don't get it... a few hot takes have Amazon (or its ilk) offering free access for all the NFL games provided you freely do surveys upon request (just once in awhile) the NFL has the advantage that gambling is still big for its fans and you can always sit down and watch football at your whim and pick up the context immediately and it's a fully ingrained habit/addiction for fans to simply keep watching, including most of the playoffs, which baseball and the other sports can't even dream of gaining -

Bills and Niners are the two largest surprises starting off 2-0 -
she still completely missing the real meaning of irony? self-serious and self-righteous Americans tend to have no irony in them....

It felt like Paul was meandering for the earlier solo stuff, trying to put out "albums" when his calling was crating solid singles Beatles albums have very little filler for the fans, people that are meh about the band have given me interesting views on filler on Beatles albums, always welcomed any comment on them... then again his move with his $$$ was to bugger off to a farm in Scotland with his earth mother, both not remotely raised for this kind of thing, i am glad that i believe they found happiness, it must have been hell trying to keep his thing together from the White Album going forward.
