  1. Probably true, have to see how other conferences pan out as well
  2. local radio has always been better for announcing player changes and formations, TV assumes we can see all this on our own and TV crews are national, lacking deep knowledge of the workings of either team
  3. Chiefs played their hearts out in the regular season last year and are still shook from the Pats stealing that game They have learned, it’s not worth it to struggle if a playoff spot is yours for just showing up
  4. they need irrefutable proof to overturn the call... whatever....... this again..
  5. madden had great battles against the Chiefs of olden times
  6. Awesome when they flash the final score at the start of a hilite package for a game, that helps defeat the purpose of bothering to watch
  7. the inconsistency of the replay system is something you have to get used to a Michigan player put a forearm shiver right into the face of an Illinois defender, well after an incomplete pass, a deliberate blow to the head with a penalty but no targeting consideration.... the kids mouthpiece flew 15 feet in the air on this cheap shot to the helmet
  8. I expect two games between them. if they split and both end up with one loss, would they send them both to the playoff, provided there weren’t enough no-brainers to stop this? I doubt the Midwest has this much power... one is enough
  9. I want the ability to tune out one or two or three or four announcers during games the worst is the NBA which takes away half the game screen for totally useless interviews for the entire first minute of quarters “coach, what can you do to win?” ”ummmm.... try to stop them from scoring...” I’m enjoying watching Habs games in French because I can pick out the names and don’t have to comprehend inane stuff that the announcers repeat all game long, year after year
  10. I will enjoy the games and not worry too much about rating the top teams and strength/weakness lots of good games coming up!!! it will all pan out in the end, shouldn’t be more than one surprise, if any, in the anointed quartet
  11. I got to watch these sessions while on accounting secondment with the police. for one grizzled detective they gave him the scenario of a drunk homeless man who keeps approaching, despite clear warnings, and breaks a booze bottle and now has a weapon of sharp glass and keeps approaching eventually he hollered “stop right there mofo or you are going to taste all the lead in my gun” much to the amusement of most watching
  12. good points you were 12 back then and felt that announcers were helping you figure things out, as you aged you realized that this wasn’t necessarily so
  13. Actually, why bother killing yerelf in the regular season if you can get a cushy playoff spot by playing it safe, dumping a few games that you might have won with risky exertion finishing first didn’t do them any favors in the playoffs last year
  14. Physicists were brought to Wall Street to use Brownian Motion to predict stock prices, or something silly enough that you have to be that brilliant to believe in it works great when the market keeps rising, not so great when it craters and margin calls arise
  15. that’s okay for you to be anxious it just seems LSU will always blink first in all sports when it’s crunch time
  16. The Kurds have always been expendable in US policy, for decades now
  17. what is their next opponent?
  18. it was a media logrolling exercise to 100 percent attack the game without announcers, the articles were written before the game started they were protecting all their media buddies, now we have 6 guys on a panel and none have anything useful to say i would very much enjoy the ability to keep the crowd noise and filter out bad announcers completely
  19. The media wrote their stories before the game came on , how it was terrible and how important announcers were....
  20. Opponents wrote the book on the Chiefs for 2019 for 2018 they didn’t do as much prep, this allows a hotshot rookies thrive and a team to do very well Now opponents have sifted them
  21. how did he piss away 4 time outs needlessly today?
  22. College mostly doesn’t prep QBs for the pros, most top schools are running an option so the kids don’t learn to drop back and take the heat and throw It’s disappointing when they are up 75-0 and still run an option, never let the QB learn how to play QB like a pro
  23. This is the third 4-1 of the last 20 years, the first two cratered in a patented Billsy fashion its fun to have them winning and some optimism, hope Allen stays healthy and if he does they should get a Wild Card spot
  24. good that I’m missing all that
  25. Andy craters in any close game, the last two minutes are his patented chokejob, runs out of time outs needlessly, glares at his plastic chart as if it’s suddenly changed into Swahili or Cantonese He is good for steamrolling weak opponents though
