I think it’s more likely that Beane doesn’t want to pay this market rate on Cook. Seems hard to believe Cook’s camp is so delusional based on his role and production as to expect a significantly higher contract than this Williams deal.

If you prefer an indoor environment for football and would have liked to see a roof fine, but save the terrible arguments about it being a missed economic opportunity for the region.
