When did you know today's game was over?

This too for me. I would have went for it, but the moment we didn't come away with any points I knew it was going down hill in a bad way from there. -
A few thoughts about the Patriots game
wiskibreth replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Taylor needs to make faster decisions. Either throw it, or run it, but don't stand there all day looking for someone to get wide open, my god man! Have some pocket awareness. Some of those play calls... my goodness Dennison, pull your head out! I'm on board with looking for a new OC in the off-season. The defensive front seven has major problems. Love Kyle, all effort, but he's lost a step and he can't do everything all by himself. No pass rush whatsoever and can't stop a nose bleed in the run game. They get pushed all over the field and can't get off blocks at all. That whole unit needs to be replaced. Refs didn't help, but wouldn't have made any difference. -
"Patriot Way": Officiating Catalog
wiskibreth replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On third and long (like 12 or more yards), the patriot's offensive play call is "draw a pass interference or defensive holding call". In this days game, it's a 50/50 prospect. -
I'd be very surprised if Peyton Manning hasn't declined this "opportunity" 32 times... OK, maybe 28.

Loving Dion Dawkins - on & off the field!
wiskibreth replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again with the notion that he can't heal and resume good play... I know you cited some NBA players, but these guys aren't' running up and down a hardwood court 82+ nights a year. Maybe he is traded, who knows. I just think it would be foolish to move on from a very good tackle in this league as hard as they are to find. Now if he proves he can't get healthy, then he's not tradeable anyway, wouldn't pass a physical, and you'd simply have to cut him. Which would be a shame. ---- Back to the point. Glad to see a rookie displaying some class on and off the field. Good for him and the Bills. -

Thanks BLM On the first play pictured. Where was the placement of the ball on the field before the snap? If it was on the left hash, that would indicate to me that Taylor dropped straight back, and Ritchie is mostly to blame, missed his block. I think it's unlikely that the play design would require Taylor to shift laterally a few feet to his right before throwing the football. If the ball was in the center of the field or right hash, then that would lead me to think that it's Taylor screw up having shuffled to that spot and put himself out of position to take advantage of that throwing lane.

Dion Dawkins 2nd highest graded rookie OT
wiskibreth replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He hasn't played often LATELY. Up until game 11 last year, he was 100% available and I'm sure one of the reasons he was able to get a new contract. Yeah, it's a big deal that he's injured NOW, but the bold part... How so? Broken bones, torn ligaments, even torn cartilage all mend given the proper treatments. What is it about his feet/ankles that you think have become irreparably weakened? Unless he's got some kind of genetic condition that mysteriously just now materialized at age 28, then I can't understand your concept of not being able to heal. Hell, even Sammy Watkins eventually healed and is playing again. -

I'm real curious why you have that sense? Do you really think the coaches/FO dislike the guys on the roster for the sole reason that they're not their guys? Dareus is gone because of his behavior. Glenn has no such behavior history. -
Dion Dawkins 2nd highest graded rookie OT

He's missed 6 games this season (and granted likely will miss more), and 5 games last season. But before that he's been totally available. I'd call that "lately" You're just pissed that he's been injured since he got his contract. -
Dion Dawkins 2nd highest graded rookie OT

I want 2 quality OTs, actually 3. I don't understand why Glenn seems to be a target of fans, or perceived to be on the outs with the coaching staff. His only crime has been injuries lately. Well, I got a secret. Olinemen get injured, and often. They're always getting rolled up on. it's dangerous in the scrum. Many legs moving around and bodies falling, off balance trying to get leverage. I hope the fact that Dawkins is playing well only leads to not rushing Glenn back from recovery too soon, and then we do have 2 quality OTs, even if one needs to move over to RT. -
Here's our problem: Draft Rounds 1-3
wiskibreth replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allot of it is simply bad drafting. Some of them simply need to be gone. -
Football Czar for off season
wiskibreth replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that's the logic, the next thing you know we'll be calling for an Emperor over the Czar to keep that guy "in check". You appoint people, and empower them to make decisions. You don't hire other people to second guess those decisions. Otherwise you should have hired the second person instead of the first. -
For me, it's the sheer volume of commercials and advertising, bad rules that imbalance the game on top of bad officiating and poor announcers. The player's risk of CTE and protests don't enter into my viewership decision making at all.

Lots of football yet to be played...

If you wan't your kids to accept candy from scumbags, great go ahead. What do you tell your kids when they discover that you've sent them up to the front door of a murderer and larcenous thug? How do you explain that to their grandparents. It's almost like telling them that you condone what he's done. You want to raise your kids thinking that his past monstrous behavior is OK? I don't.

I understand there's a significant difference in the burden of proof. Shadow of doubt vs. More likely than not. My point I was making was to poster yungmack in post #50 where I was asked me to justify "my" belief/statement previously. And the civil trial was part of my justification as to why I believe OJ is a murderer. A presentation of evidence took place, and a Jury indeed sided with Goldman/Brown. yungmack

My avatar? LOL. Yeah I like comedy and booze. I don't worship the dude, and I'm pretty sure he never murdered anyone (but himself). Maybe that's the way you do it. I don't I go out with my kids. I know who live in the neighborhood and where. And we definitely skip houses of those people that I know are disreputable.

Just stop. I've watch the trial and have seen enough after the fact documentaries on the evidence presented and not presented in court to form a personal opinion. The fact that he wasn't convicted in the criminal court doesn't mean that he didn't do it. It simply means the prosecution did a crappy job bringing the case, and the defense did just enough to cast the technical shadow of doubt. The Civil court found him more likely than not responsible for those deaths. Like Royal says... "don't be naive"
