  1. Just announced that the game will NOT be resumed this week so…
  2. Well, that would constitute a forfeit. A forfeit is a decision by the team, not one that is put upon them to be accepted.
  3. Exactly. Not enough of a game had been played except that it could be resumed. Cannot be an official result
  4. Yes resumes where it left off They didn’t want to continue , from all reports
  5. If I am certain of one thing in all this , it’s that the NFL won’t mind bestowing the # 1 seed upon the Chiefs.
  6. Yeah, you would’ve thought they were the steel curtain out there Vs Josh.. he was completely neutralized…
  7. The NFL and Roger won’t base it on that- they barely know him. The Bills players and coaches decision will absolutely be based on that and their thoughts and feelings about it.
  8. Couldn’t disagree more. Who is this “higher up” that would make such a call? If you don’t think the Bills would do in this case what the TEAM- i.e the players -wants to do then you just don’t understand the culture that McD and Beane have built at OBD.
  9. It would be okay if that’s what the TEAM wanted - which may very well be the case. McD would obviously have a good read on this by talking to his players. Perhaps they would decide otherwise and that would be fine too.. if that’s what they wanted to do
  10. In such a scenario the Bills could decide to ( not “ have to” ) forfeit the game and that would be fine.
  11. Yes .. 2 seed guaranteed 2 home games and cannot meet #1 until Championship game . Fairly big difference
  12. It’s not that far. I get that the Bills wanted to return home and probably couldn’t find that many hotel rooms on such short notice
  13. Not completing the entire season = not a fair chance. If the Bills choose to not complete it through forfeit that is fair. Both teams did not want to continue last night and that is fair too. See where this is going? Any other solution will likely not be completely fair to all involved and that makes it difficult.
  14. Thank goodness their kind doesn’t play for the Bills
  15. Still football remaining to be played that would determine the outcome. Nitpicking individual plays from past games is a fools errand.
  16. You simply cannot underestimate Josh Allen
  17. Especially with the game still in the first quarter. A lot of football to be played to reach any conclusion
  18. In fairness the two are not mutually exclusive. This is the playoff solutions thread as well, not the Hamlin injury thread. It won’t be up to us fans what the decision will be , whether that is playing the game using some other method to determine a winner, or an outright forfeit by the Bills. I’d guess all are on the table right now and the NFL has to try to balance fairness with respect.
  19. Most unpalatable thing about such a scenario is that Chiefs lost head to head to both teams involved … otherwise that’s the solution. It may still be, but perhaps a different decision will be reached.
  20. I’d imagine the game resumes where it was when stopped.
  21. A coin flip is in the NFL rule book as the last tiebreaker. Hasn’t it been used to determine draft order at least once? Anyway , the time constraints and fact that this game isn’t being played in the next two days make it an option.
  22. Fortunately it’s also extremely rare on a football field. As mentioned on WGR probably one of the best places to be if it’s going to happen because of the medical staff access- there or a hospital. A terrible thing that no one wants to see occur and it almost never does.
  23. No. There were no updates made available by UC Hospital . WGR signed off on Bills coverage and went to a nationally syndicated sports talk show
