  1. The league cares and tries to avoid it with times etc They might not care in this case though by making Bills / Bengals after week 18. The Bills will have to play NE game like it matters to them
  2. Sure would , and the NFL wouldn’t like it because they’d have a game that is a farce mixed in with NFC playoffs. I’m not sure how the Bills would think about that scenario but my guess is they’d take the guaranteed rest.
  3. Yep. If that’s the idea and I’m the Bills , I’m resting for 2 weeks barring a KC loss to the Raiders.
  4. True but no scenario will be perfect. I just don’t think playing that game alone in its own week is going to be chosen as the solution.
  5. Agreed, that does happen. The league tries to maintain competitive balance by schedule kickoffs at the same time etc but this isn’t going to be perfect to all involved .
  6. Good point.. if that’s the case then the Bills could rest players, which may give the Pats an easy in. That probably = lack of equity for some team. In that sense NE has “ earned” the scenario they’re in.
  7. Yes, still have to win to maintain it. Agree , hence Vincent’s statement about it not being perfect.. just reading the tea leaves here but we shall see…
  8. A complete knucklehead…
  9. Bills not being penalized imo if they are awarded the #2 seed. It’s not a perfect solution, but I believe it would be the best one. Agree, but the equity thing would be the lack of ability to control it on their own. Could still happen of course.
  10. I think he means Bills don’t get chance to reclaim #1 seed, CIN doesn’t get chance to move up to #2 seed, BAL is affected , possibly some other teams I’m not aware of the exact scenarios. That’s my take on it , that it won’t be perfect but the playoffs will take place on schedule. Anything else compounds the whole situation and impacts everything that follows it. I don’t believe the NFL will want that.
  11. I think the league will lean heavily on the response of the Bills players and coaches in deciding when this game gets played. There’s the rule book, but it kind of goes out the window in an unprecedented situation like this. They’re making decisions on the fly and I applaud the NFL for doing so.
  12. The Hamlin play looked pretty routine , and while a terrible occurrence it was also a rare one. I don’t think officials will be hyper- vigilant , and players will have varying abilities to block it out and play.
  13. Interesting … I still do not believe Bills/ Bengals will be resumed. jmo and I could obviously be wrong but I don’t see it happening. If all 3 teams hold serve then - 1 KC 2 BUF 3 CIN
  14. That’s almost as good as the interwebs, right ?
  15. It’s been discussed and I believe it is correct barring a natural disaster
  16. BB isn’t plotting how to exploit a tragedy. He’s trying to figure out how the hell his team is going to have a chance to win vs Josh Allen. Early forecast is 38 degrees and partly cloudy. Maybe if the Bills rest their starters but I don’t see that happening.
  17. Conference record not the same. Bengals have 1 more loss currently so if Bills and Bengals hold serve this Sunday Bills finish with superior conference record. This is where the no contest, tie , or resume play comes in
  18. I’d be surprised if that was the avenue chosen here.
  19. There isn’t much of an alternative .. no punishment involved
  20. They should have some news on Hamlin before that. By today or tomorrow( more likely) maybe not
  21. The team won’t be penalized. If they want to resume the game they’ll be given that option I believe. If they accept an alternative option that is not a penalty.
  22. No thanks , I’m confident in the Bills ability to win any game they play.
