    This is likely what is playing out here. There will be a point where the value exceeds the baggage by a good margin, and that’s when some team will turn in the card.

    And as you pointed out , he was drafted where his talent dictated. NFL teams aren’t interested in teaching lessons. They want to win and that’s it. Anything that might interfere with that in a major way will be avoided. That’s what seems to be playing out here.

    The actual pick swap was listed earlier, but I se we gave up 212 points on the chart for 210 value. Pretty fair as cost is concerned.

    Probably says quite a bit about the grades the Bills had on the remaining guys and who was ahead of them in draft order.

    Very slight overpay then. This is definitely not the kind of draft class where the Bills can use ten picks. Once again the Beane m.o is to get the guys they like by using picks to move around. Shouldn’t be a surprise at all.

    All respect to Ovechkin, but there’s only one Gretzky. His points record will not be eclipsed. As for Bruce, forget about it. Will not happen, even with the increase in passing since the mid 90’s. No one playing currently has a realistic shot at it. Players also are retiring sooner. Ever is a long time , but it won’t be beaten.
