Bills signing Josh Norman - yes, seriously

Nah , this is a warm body signing that knows McDs defense. That’s about it and it’s what you do when hit with a rash of injuries at a position. -

Someone put up a list of available FA corners last week after Tre injury. It was slim pickin’s and Norman was on it . Gotta have a warm body ready to go in just in case. Still a few weeks to go until trade deadline . Any stopgap type guy out there right now is going to be underwhelming. -
As we all hate on Ken Dorsey today let’s remember

Playoff defense good vs Lamar, Mac Jones and Miami backup. Not so good Vs Mahomes, Colts with Rivers/ Taylor , Macaulay Burrow. -
I’m not sure if they have zero chance , but I wouldn’t pick the Bills vs any of those teams this week. Fortunately the Bills don’t play any of those teams this week , and if they face the 49ers I’d love it because it could only be in the Super Bowl. It’s a week to week league and the Bills have a lot of injuries to figure out right now.

If you’ve ever attended a game in FLA - Miami and especially JAX you’ll see the fans are largely POS. Mostly foul mouthed jagoffs in my experience, so it’s not surprising.

Goodbye BarBill, Hello Bar at Main and Hamlin.

Yes, blue cheese dip. The blue cheese at Cheesecake Factory is amazingly good; one of the best I’ve ever tried. -
All but one team that makes the playoffs loses. This is true every single year.

Don’t know which have and have not. Maybe there are none that could free up the 3 or million but I doubt it. There are some cap experts on this board from time to time. Also, the Steelers just defeated BAL and are in the thick of their division race. They’d likely not be sellers. Teams with poor records and likely poorer as Halloween nears might be interested in moving players for draft picks.

Not exactly. The Bills have Daddy Warbucks for an owner. Redo a couple contracts to create room. They need a solution at CB as the likelihood of Tre returning to form post Achilles is slim. Surtain would be a worthwhile addition, not a rental.

They were 4-2 to start. Bills could be 4-2 after Sunday nights game.

Is there an official update on Daquan yet?

Nothing yet, but a Pec (as speculated) would likely be season ending. Your best bet for proven run plugger is probably Ford, but he was unimpressive in pre season. -
Long way off , but you don’t want to be 6 seed if it’s a WC berth. See what happens

Last year means absolutely zero with regards to this years edition. It’s a new season and a different team. We may have heard how impressive this years numbers were when the team had one loss. We haven’t heard much about them with two losses as it was only yesterday. Going forward , with the injuries sustained I believe the Bills will be fortunate to win one of their 4 most difficult games vs CIN, DAL, KC and PHL. They’d do well to secure a WC playoff berth. This could change if a significant trade for a quality CB or WR is made.

There needs to be a thread of the officiating today

The Kelsey catch that was reviewed was clearly a catch as far as I could see and I thought it was an awful decision to review. Picking up the PI flag was inexcusable as the defender never played the ball and prevented the WR from making a play on it. The QBs arm was hit slightly but the ball itself was not tipped . Yes I’d be livid if I were a Minny fan, but the Chiefs are consistently the beneficiary of questionable calls late in close games. -
This is the sad reality. If you replace several top quality defenders with average ones the drop off is going to result in more yards, first downs and points allowed. That means less time on the field for the offense as well. The Bills no longer have a margin for error on offense. They need efficient, time consuming drives that result in TDs at a very high rate. The D will quickly turn into a liability.

I loved the one where they made the Bills score a TD twice for it to count because of phantom OPI . That was great…. Interestingly KC got another extremely beneficial call late Vs MIN when a PI flag in the end zone was picked up due to the ball being tipped. Replay showed it was not tipped , but the Vikes were out of timeouts. It seemingly never ends with KC. -
I think a trade for a quality CB is necessary to compete. A decent LB will do, but need more at the corner spot.
-
If you watch their games they get a LOT of calls going their way in critical situations. Especially as close games are winding down.

They’ve had a good scheme to handle him… Bills should be taking notes.
