  1. Perhaps this will bring added urgency to a potential trade for WR ?
  2. Wasn’t Keon Coleman early 2nd round ? If so, no 5th year option.
  3. Fwiw Obama always wanted a bigger area for gatherings in the White House. There you go- a ballroom courtesy of Trump for all future administrations to enjoy. Yet he never did , as he couldn’t pull off doing anything that wasn’t on the taxpayer dime.
  4. What should happen ( at least) is that McDermott should quietly take over the defensive play calling. Any firings can wait until the offseason, but you have to do everything possible to steady the ship in 2025.
  5. Agree. I have to think Saleh would get better results out of this group, even with injuries etc.
  6. It certainly was. A reported suggested the possibility of benching Fields and Glenn was incredulous.
  7. What took him so long ?
  8. He’s not wrong. The Bills wins in recent years have depended on a certain formula. With the exception of a few crazy comebacks, we Bills fans can usually tell in the first quarter or so if they’re on the way to a win. The turnover thing was crazy, but bound to be unsustainable. A regression was inevitable. They usually stayed out of 3rd and longs, and leaned heavily on Allen running. He was seldom sacked. This isn’t happening now, and they seem reluctant to run Allen very much. His off script plays opened up the offense. The defense isn’t good enough to make any big plays. There still isn’t much competition in the AFCE. Two of the four teams are among the NFL’s worst. The Pats had a decent record just a few seasons ago. A few years of mostly mediocre drafts/ FA by Beane are showing through.
  9. I don’t think Young is a good QB, but that doesn’t matter. We don’t have any choice, and neither do the Bills. It’s going to be Dalton. If they can’t design a defensive gameplan to stop him, the problems are likely not correctable this season.
  10. I mean, that was a Mike Mularkey led team from 20 years ago. There is absolutely zero relevance to the Bills of today. The fact is simply that this edition of the Bills defense may not be any good.
  11. Stay away for a few weeks at least, as a loss is certainly possible. Not inevitable by any means, but possible.
  12. BBFS… I mean Vrabel and McDaniels are the Bills undoing because of a 3 point win ? The fatalism runs deep on this board.
  13. Young is terrible, so obviously I would rather see him start for the Panthers. Still, as Bills fans we’re going to be worried about facing Andy Dalton ? If that’s the case we have no business thinking playoffs in 2025, much less the Super Bowl.
  14. Nah, the Bills record after 6 games has been worse in recent years. Divisions aren’t won in October. By different I’m not talking about the Patriots anyway. I’m referring to the Bills. Something seems different with this team/ roster from previous years.
  15. If they had 6 weeks of no practice, they definitely wouldn’t play. Too much injury risk- they’d need to be ramped up.
  16. You’re right , and it doesn’t appear there’s one available. The rest of this season is looking like a referendum on Beane’s roster building failures. Hoping I’m wrong and it’s their annual October swoon/ lack of focus. This feels different though.
  17. You’d have a better case for the Colts and Daniel Jones looking like the best in the league( or at least the AFC) than the Pats. The Bills lost a 3 point division game to NE in which they shot themselves in the foot repeatedly. Yes the Pats have a very easy schedule, and that will be an issue. They’ve withstood these sloppy mini slumps before. We’ll see if they can do it again.
  18. Thanks. Okay, must just be my perception then. As I said, I didn’t count them. However, my point is that i believe the Bills can improve on pre snap penalties ( regardless of Offense or Defense) without getting better players.
  19. They may not be for much longer.
  20. Seems to be a lot of false starts ( even at home ) illegal formations etc. Just guys heads not being in the game. I haven’t counted them or anything - just seems to be some general sloppiness to the offense.
  21. It has to be the roster and coaching. KC being the roadblock is simply the bar that’s been set. There will always be a closest competitor in the conference. Some set a higher bar to clear than others. It’s unfortunate that KC/Reid are at their high point while Allen is at his, but those are the breaks. The roster/ coaching have been very good for quite a few years. Just not quite enough to clear that hurdle completely. It really can’t be anything else.
  22. I tend to agree, except for maybe the pre-snap penalties. Those aren’t from a lack of talent or innovation.
  23. After 2 sloppy, uninspired performances it’s probably a good time for the bye. Perhaps some injuries improve, and the Bills will get a couple of players back from suspensions. We’ll see if they can correct their issues or if their roster decisions have left them bereft of talent. It is…especially with Reid and the Chiefs standing in their way.
  24. Teams always seem to say player X isn’t being moved or they’re working on a new deal with whoever. Then they’re traded. These responses mean nothing until the deadline is past.
  25. It’s really looking like Coleman is jag. I think you’re spot on. However, every year you have Josh Allen is a year the Bills should contend. Waiting until next year is a waste. They have to make a trade for an offensive weapon.
