Orlovsky: Bills aren't as talented offensively as we thought
Boatdrinks replied to Billz4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
They’ve got talent. Just not as much as some thought. Dorsey needs to scheme this offense up more effectively. He started off well, but teams caught up and he hasn’t added many wrinkles to offset that. -
As Bills fans, the team controlling their own destiny is probably the best we could ( realistically) hope for. It should be celebrated, but no one is forgetting about the Cincinnati game. It’s 3 weeks away though, and the Bills have the task of securing a division championship at hand first. The Bills may be an underdog in that game, but that doesn’t influence the outcome. The Bills haven’t had a 10-3 or better record at this point since the 1991 season from what I can recall. They will have an opportunity to secure the #1 seed for the playoffs on their own in the last 4 games and that’s a great place to be as a Bills fan.

You can’t be serious here. Milano’s hit on White was a textbook example of how to hit the QB in todays NFL - without drawing a flag. Watch it again.. it’s perfect, right down to not bringing your weight down on him when hitting the ground. It wouldn’t have mattered if it was Mahomes. A flag on that play would have been criminal.

Our OL vs Pats DL. Different than our OL vs Jets DL. Really a game of matchups -
Right, which means the MVP has shifted to a “ player of the year” type award and not what it’s name indicates : the player most valuable to his team. It’s a giant “ who cares ?” from me. We all know this team would probably be a bottom feeder without Josh Allen. I think many QBs could have a great season on the Eagles. Whatever….

Not huge on booing, but fans are paying to watch a competitive performance for 3 hours. McKenzie is an entertainer and like it or not he makes a lot of money doing it. If fans see a poor performance it’s their right to express their displeasure. Doesn’t matter if they know him personally or not. It comes with the territory and you can’t have thin skin. I personally would never comment on an athletes social media either, but that is the scourge on humanity that is social media in the first place .

Bills can clinch a playoff spot this week
Boatdrinks replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
In a way I’d rather see MIA in than the Jets. Don’t get me wrong I want the Bill to crush the Dolphins this week but the Jets D is pretty tough. -

Agree completely. Different era of football -

Haven’t crunched the numbers but I’d say 10-7 gets MIA in -

90’s Bills weren’t built differently due to the weather. It was a totally different era of football. -
Have to agree, they need to get this fixed. This team isn’t winning a Super Bowl by increasing the workload for Singletary or Cook. They need to get back to a high powered passing offense that cranks our first downs, rarely punts and mixes in back breaking Josh Allen runs. That’s the formula that will get them a Lombardi.

Sorry Isaiah , but us fans aren’t NFL players. If it was easy we’d all be doing it. He needs to do his job and stay quiet until he does. To say he’s been a disappointment would be an understatement.

Josh Allen and Stefan Diggs are the two best players on this offense. Which plays , down and distances would you have preferred they hand off to Singletary or Cook and why? -

Many of those numbers were accumulated earlier in the season, to be fair. Offensive production has fallen off greatly the last 5 or 6 games. Not a good trend heading toward playoff football. -

The Bills just don’t have the OL to run the ball at will when they want to. The backs are pretty mediocre too. They can win matchups vs certain teams and not vs others. They need to stay in good down and distance , but that is more difficult without a reliable ground attack. Not sure how much of this can / will change this season. They’ll have to win with what they’ve got. -

I sure hope this take is correct. They need to flip that switch for MIA and CIN and can probably cruise through the Bears and Pats. -

He’s not wrong, and it’s a genuine concern. The Bills seem lacking in skill position players that can be counted on. The OL has been bad at times and just serviceable at others. Not sure what was different in the first third of the season but the issues are apparent now. It’s too late to do much except hope for better coaching / scheme and much better execution and performance from players we do have. -
Not to mention a couple rather obvious Offside that weren’t called. Crew was pretty bad last night but both teams had to deal with it.

If you’re not playing ST’s as a WR 5 or whatever you won’t make this roster. Simple as that. Good for Hodgins, but he’s hardly some tonic for the offense. I think the staff wanted to see more from him that never materialized.

If the offense keeps struggling does Dorsey get fired ?
Boatdrinks replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you’re talking about after the season ( whenever that is ) then maybe. Unlikely imo but maybe. If things don’t improve changes could be made. -
Just about but not officially . If Bills win fish would have to win out and Bills lose out
