  1. Not true Todd Downing Carrs qb coach coached EJ. He also had the same collegiate coaching as Winston and every year he went to qb clinics. Ej failed because ej was a bad qb, not for lack of resources committed or work ethic.
  2. I never said everone said Manuel would start, you have issues reading and writing. My point was and still is and founded by fact that it was a qb competition; unlike the rewriting of history guys who state that he was suppose to sit for years. So you do have issues reading and writing. Thats why my urls are attached, qotes bolded, and you keep reading the same thing misinterpreting the hell out of it.
  3. He got a second season. And more seasons to follow. Whaley done everything in his power; making a qb competition every camp. Did you forget. It wasnt just the coaches; it was the gm and the coaches. The entirety of the team. you should always push to get a qb; without you have the Bills for the oast two decades. Pretty hard to argue with that. New guy (dependent upon where hes drafted); needs to show progress and improve to warrant the notion of becoming a franchise qb. Otherwise signing a clipboard holder is cheaper....
  4. Im not implying anything. Im saying if a Qb foesnt display any starting qb performances consistently by year 3 of his tenure, its likely highly likely we need to try an alternative. The likelyhood of turning it around and being a franchise qb after that is very very minimal.
  5. Why else would you be advocating his worthiness of starting on a team? Cmon you cant be realistic hoping that keeping EJ would have somehow morphed into a one season Case Keenum wonder carried by that stout Vikings defense. Ej was bad, is bad, and warranted clipboard duty by game 4 of the second season. There is nothing that could have made him a franchise qb. He had the same mento as Carr, went to every kind of qb camp you can imagine, and worked tremendously hard to get better; he just wasnt and isnt good enough. No matter had he sit for 15 years.... Never said he said that. I stated emphatically that Whaley said it was a competition; not as the rewriters of history proclaiming that he was supposed to sit his first year. You do have problems reading. Dont say I posted something I didnt; thats lacking integrity. Im done here. I posted where Whaley said it was a competition; unlike the ones who said it wasnt. Once more Ill leave Whaleys words right here in case another rewriter of history drops by: "We're excited to see [Manuel] grow, and we're excited to see him compete with Kevin Kolb," Whaley said. "May the best man win.” http://www.espn.com/nfl/trainingcamp13/story/_/id/9514038/buffalo-bills-ej-manuel-kevin-kolb-split-practice-snaps-qb
  6. You have a very hard time reading: And über yikes: “We're excited to see [Manuel] grow, and we're excited to see him compete with Kevin Kolb," Whaley said. "May the best man win.” http://www.espn.com/nfl/trainingcamp13/story/_/id/9514038/buffalo-bills-ej-manuel-kevin-kolb-split-practice-snaps-qb Whaleys words not mine. Unedited. His intentions were clearly not to sit the rookie. Nore was it the HC’s intentions either. It was a competition. If you think Case Keenum is a franchise quarterback worthy of holding on to, Im sorry. He isnt. That will be proven shortly. Your examples werent even close to EJ. Cmon man he was a colossal bust.
  7. Aikman was a pro bowler year three. Ej showed no signs, Rich was a system qb that had only 4 decenst seasons out of 17 ( the first of which wasnt until he had been in the league for 12 years, Brees didnt start a game his first year and by his 3rd year starting he was fantastic. None of your examples comes close to Ej.
  8. Absolutely. If any qb we draft plays like Ej manuel hopefully hes gone prior to year 4, unlike Manuel. It doesnt take four years to know what you have.
  9. Ej manuel started 10 games first season, 4 games second season, 2 games third season, and 1 game his last season with the bills. Multiple training camps and otas. Their was no shortages of chances for him, no one drove him off, he stayed with the team 4 years and couldnt get it done. If after 4 years the qb we draft cant get it done hopefully the gm doesnt double down on him ala Whaley.
  10. Yikes: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.buffalorumblings.com/platform/amp/buffalo-bills-opinion/2013/8/17/4630478/buffalo-bills-qb-competition-ej-manuel-decisive-lead-kevin-kolb https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1741592-ej-manuels-knee-injury-opens-door-for-kevin-kolb-to-win-bills-starting-qb-job.amp.html http://m.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/Kolb-set-for-different-kind-of-QB-competition/a0a1ac38-6069-4014-bc92-cb3cb2cf82a5 And über yikes: “We're excited to see [Manuel] grow, and we're excited to see him compete with Kevin Kolb," Whaley said. "May the best man win.” http://www.espn.com/nfl/trainingcamp13/story/_/id/9514038/buffalo-bills-ej-manuel-kevin-kolb-split-practice-snaps-qb QUIT REWRITING HISTORY!
  11. First lets not act like he wasnt on the tram for 4 years stinking up the otas, camp, and practices. He was. Secondly, everyone knew Manuel was going to start. Whaley was quoted as saying that there was a qb competition and the winner was going to start. Dont rewrite hostory acting as if EJ was supposed to sit. That clearly isnt nor wasnt the truth.
  12. Did he warrant more? Is there some conspiracy to disrupt his advancement? Did the Bills not due everything in their power to get him to succeed? Sometimes it is best to cut your losses and move on. I think we waited too long to cut bait with EJ.
  13. Thanks to Brandon undoing the cap hell Whaley put us in.
  14. I dont care. Tons of people text and drive and I despise that too. The notion that its fine because everyone does it is a juvenile approach.
  15. Yup exactly like those hall of famers with the exception of Bell. There is no possible way they have the higher possibility of becoming completely washed up like a long line that came before them making the same unintelligent decisions. Right.... There is a reason their respective stocks drop, (hint) and its not because they were future hall of famers. Its because coaches and gms realize the likelihood of becoming anything worthy of the pick that would require him is a loooooooonnnngggggg shot.
  16. Another idiot with everything in the palm of his hand just to smoke it all away.
  17. Well, if true, I hope whatever the selectionis pans out for us. We are long overdue for just a shot at a great qb.
  18. I dont think hes going to be the next Vick or Wilson, but let the kid throw the football once or twice in the league before calling him a bust.
  19. Hes that unkown ball of clay that reignites visions of Manuel. No thanks.
  20. Only trade of for the qb you want. Not to sttle for the leftover qb.
  21. Yeah THE FUTURE GM HAD NO SAY. He also had no say every other year after that, including the year he drafted Sammy..... Just as you say....
  22. No, I havent crowned him anything. I dont believe he will settle on a wb ala bust Manuel, then double down with the Watkins epic blunder. Cmon man, he said it with Maniel and Watkins. He stated multiple times, he wasnt leaving without a qb, and that Watkins was his pick. Then he emotionally deiven himself off of a cliff by doubling down on ej multiple times, even so by arguing with the coaches. Cmon man dont rewrite history.
