  1. A couple things. First the definition of a #1 WR depends on who is doing the defining. Second, any offense comes down to play design and scheme and such. Third as KC has shown your best receiver can be a TE.
  2. They could bring Hopkins in and you’d say he’s old and no longer whatever a WR#1or 2 is. Your shtick is old and tired. This season depends on Brady’s play design and Josh getting the ball to the right guy. One WR will not make or break this season.
  3. Others have pointed out to you that you can’t manipulate the cap the way you think. You stubbornly refuse to accept that. And you stubbornly refuse to believe Beane. Would I take an Adams? Sure. Can we make the deal you suggest? Probably not. I don’t worry about what it would take and so on because Beane isn’t going to do it, so I don’t waste my time worrying about it.
  4. It should surprise me that someone who has little knowledge of a player would somehow come to the conclusion that he’s the answer to a question they dream up in their mind. But I’ve been around Bills fans long enough to not be surprised by anything anymore.
  5. Well there you go. You tell us you don’t know much about a guy but he’s the answer to you. Because he ran fast on one play. So did Beebe. Was he the “#1” back in the day? Training camp can’t get here soon enough.
  6. The guys that win the jobs
  7. If Brady designs things well and Josh makes good reads, we should have different WRs with the most yardage game to game as we will take advantage of what a specific defense gives each week. Lot of ifs to be sure but that is the ideal.
  8. I suggest you submit your list of good ones to Beane for his consideration. And I’d suggest to quit using 1, 2,3 etc for WRs as if we’re in a kindergarten counting lesson.
  9. Ok let’s just do this. Sign 30 WRs and play like flag football. One guy snap it back to Josh, everyone take off, and Josh can throw it quick to who he wants before he gets buried. If we sign enough WRs everyone in Mafia land can get their favorite.
  10. You think your version of an NFL offense is the only one. Imagine that.
  11. Others like me think they’ll be fine on offense.
  12. YOU and several others are debating this. Others want to see how the team plays before worrying.
  13. I can see us drafting another WR next year, but we are not going to trade for another guy this year due to cap and such. While you can have what you describe, it is harder to do so and manage the cap. I would alter your statement to say you need a difference maker on offense in general. It can be a WR but also a TE or a RB. Or a couple in combination. The Pats when they had Gronk and of course the Chiefs with Kelce as examples. I’m hoping Kincaid is that guy.
  14. Hysterical exaggerations only weaken your position
  15. I fundamentally disagree. Brady’s offense looks to spread the ball around to open guys. I think Josh can thrive in that vs. having to worry about feeding a guy like Diggs. If Brady does his job well we have multiple targets plus a better run game.
  16. I’d rather have several good guys vs. 1 great guy
  17. My point is that this numbering stuff is artificial.
  18. Nope. Sorry. A lot of people talked about double dipping but names are rare when push comes to shove.
  19. I think we need to quit getting so worked up about the numbering of WRs and look at performance.
  20. That’s funny. He ran away from the Jets DBs. But our WRs have no speed. Maybe it was an optical illusion.
  21. Of course you can argue it. You’d be wrong but that hasn’t stopped folks before.
  22. Double dipping for who? Give me a name. It’s easy to just throw that out there. And OJ is a 3rd or 4th option at this point and isn’t that fast anymore. kind f like Diggs will be at best the Texans 2nd option, more likely their third.
  23. For God sakes people. It is pretty clear that the top 3 WR on the field will be Coleman, Samuel, and Shakir. And you’ll also have Kincaid. So what you’re all carping about is a 4th guy with speed. Because supposedly we don’t have a guy that can “take the top” off the defense. With this signing you now have 3 guys that potentially can do this: MVS, Claypool, Hamler. Even though statistically the league threw about 1% of total passes last year where the ball went 40 yards or over last year. But that’s still bad in some eyes here. That begs the question: what the hell do you want?
  24. Bills fans: We HAVE to get a guy with speed that can go deep!!! Beane: Here’s 3, Claypool, Hamler, and Valdes-Scantling. Biils fans: Not THOSE guys!!!
