But breaking a collarbone is easy to get over, only in severe cases would one have to insert pins. You'd certainly rather have this than a rotator cuff to be sure.

I did not want Mahomes; guys coming out of the system he played haven't done much in the NFL. Yet some of the same people bashing Allen cry about not drafting Mahomes, as if Mahomes is some kind of guaranteed superstar. And I wanted Rosen this year, but apparently his personality may have turned McD and Beane off. Bottom line: all these guys have different positives and negatives, and time will tell. And there are a few folks that would like to see Allen fail so they can go on a message board and brag about how they were right, sad as that is. I don't think you are one of those but they exist.

Couldn't agree more. It appears there may be some bias here; they think certain measures should be more important and thus put them into their model first, as oppose to actually assessing various factors to determine prospectively what factors have a more relevant basis for use.

I have to have a fairly good understanding of basic stats for my job, have to look at data and review submitted articles all the time. And I know if I had to figure out a way to statistically evaluate different college QBs I'd have to go to a professional statistician who would need to formulate a comprehensive multivariate analysis to cone up with any reasonable comparative data.

And what kind of offense did they run. What kind of passes did they throw? And so on. Whether he completed less passes than QB X is immaterial. The number of variables is so large that it makes one particular stat meaningless. The abuse and misunderstanding of statistics is rampant.
