  1. Look at his completion percentage this preseason. Another example of never letting facts obscure your opinion. Is Peterman ultimately better than Allen? Of course not. Is he playing better right now? There is no logical reason to say he's not.
  2. Peterman. Laugh all you want but Peterman is playing the best right now. And it's not close. Allen will take over at some point this season, but your best shot to beat the Ravens is with Peterman
  3. Of all the talking heads that sell themselves as football experts, but in reality have no clue, of all them I put Lombardi at the bottom of the list in terms of any actual clue.
  4. For some here? The first series against the Ravens. These are the same folks who get bent out of shape if it takes more than a minute to get their Happy Meal at the drive through. And God forbid if they don't like the toy.
  5. No he won't live it down if people like you keep bringing it up. I imagine he's our starter week 1, and I think he'll play well.
  6. He says healthy dialog will be encouraged. Right.
  7. Memories are short around here. Given Henderson's illness and struggles I really hope it works out for him, but when with the Bills he just couldn't get on the field. And Cyrus was just bad. BUt true to form for some, any guy we sign is bad and any guy we let go is an All Pro. besides, they would only be helpful if they could move inside and play G right now. Our starting tackles aren't bad. It's our interior line that was bad the other day.
  8. I remember back in the day when we went 0-6 in preseason. It was 1973. And then OJ ran for 250 opening day. Of course we had an O line then. I try not to over-react to preseason games, and understand they were looking at different combinations of guys up front. But when you have guys that just get physically manhandled that's not really scheme, etc. That's just bad.
  9. Like all young QBs he needs experience so the game slows down for him and he can make decisions.
  10. I don't think Castillo is very good. But when you get physically dominated by the guy across from you, get shoved straight back into the QB, that's not coaching. That's just either lack of physical ability or desire.
  11. Agreed. Let's see what happens. The sky was falling this time last year as well.
  12. Glenn was hurt pretty much all last year. He was good and I'd like to still have him but if he'd have gone to RT or inside to G. Dawkins will be OK. They have a plan. They needed QBs on offense and defense. They drafted both this past draft. Hopefully. To do that they needed to move up and Glenn was the price. Next year I hope they draft a solid WR and a bunch of linemen.
  13. For those being critical of a rookie QB that had a pass rich in his face all day, let me remind you of the book on a guy named Brady. What do people say you have to do with Brady? Get pressure up the middle. If it throws Tommy off I think it's reasonable that it throws a rookie QB. Give Allen time. Stop being the Bills fan that thinks a kid should be an immediate star.
  14. It is not an either/or. Did you not watch last season?
  15. You're talking about a guy that needs medical help. Have you not kept up this off season?
  16. I see that. I suspect they felt Groy steps in for Wood. I don't know that anyone expected Richie to go off the rails like that. But I agree they could have drafted another G in addition to Teller.
  17. And if you'd given $$ to WRs and O linemen they'd get criticized for doing nothing on the D line. Take the long view.
  18. That's because he's a rookie.
  19. I have mixed feelings about the Glenn trade. we needed to make a move up to get the QB we wanted, so you had to give up something. And as much as I liked Glenn his injury history was becoming concerning. The middle of the O line is where we have issues, and two things stick out to me just based on yesterday. One is Groy. I figured he'd be a more than adequate replacement for Wood, given how ell he did when he stepped in for him a couple years ago. But yesterday he just seemed clueless. Two times guys pretty much just ran by him and he just stood there. And then Ducasse and Miller. I've said several times today that I cannot understand how a guy with Ducasses's size can be just walked back like he's not even there. And Miller was just as bad with his penalties. They did try to address it somewhat with Teller, and you have to imagine he starts if not opening day shortly thereafter if the two incumbents play like they did yesterday. And you have to just hope that was one bad day for Groy. If not then it's going to be pretty tough. I'm not worried about our DB's. Corners sometimes get beat one on one and Davis got suckered. I expect a vet like him to bounce back.
  20. He didn't play yesterday. The fact that you don't know that says volumes about your bias. I do agree they need to revamp the interior though.
  21. So on the one hand Beane is getting criticized for not beefing up the O line this past off season, and now it's that he won't be able to next year either because guys aren't out there even if you have cap space? Makes perfect sense.
  22. You can't teach things like strength and leverage. For a guy the size of Ducasse to get thrown around like he was is just mind numbing.
  23. Good point. Maybe we trade him for a G?
  24. Peterman gives us a better chance than Allen, given the state of the O line. Allen is the future and will be the guy for years to come. Spare me the laughing stock stuff. Last year at this time it was all doom and gloom and we made the playoffs.
  25. Yeah, losing Seantrel Henderson was a huge loss. How will we ever survive? As was Glenn, who didn't play hardly at all because of injury. The O line needs help to be sure. Groy needs to get back to playing as he did when Wood got hurt a couple seasons ago. They need to let Teller in there, at least he won't get manhandled. But to bring up Seantrel Henderson as an indictment against Beane and McDermott is just a ridiculous stretch by someone who seeks to do nothing around here but be critical.
