Don't place stock in pre-season estimates regardless if they ranked us #32 or #1. Way too many variables to know what's going to happen. Injuries being the primary one, but also we don't know yet about how Daboll will really run his offense. The line is bad in pass protection, but do OK with run blocking, so I can see a lot of runs, lot of two step drops and quick throws, screens, etc. I don't think Daboll showed his hand in pre-season. As for D, we don't know what Frazier will dial up for pass rushing. Edmunds should come on as the season goes on. DB.s are good. Question will be the run D.

I love how everyone is taking my OP completely out of context. Is you saying this wrong? No more than me saying I am disappointed in them not bringing more O linemen in this year. I am referring to those who consistently post negative thoughts on the team, and my simple question is why. And some have offered an explanation, that it is likely a defense mechanism. Which I can understand. Because I ask this question all I get are insults and these kinds of posts about if you say one thing are you a hater. Of course you are not. But if all you can post are negatives, then it seems to me you at the very least have a strong dislike of the team, so maybe the word hate was ill advised. Nevertheless, I find it an intriguing psychological question: why spend so much time on a message board for a team you purport to be a fan of, only to criticize them at every turn? Just seems odd to me, and I wonder why.

He has focused on getting the two most important positions on the team: QB and MLB. Both these kids have the potential to be long time fixtures on the Bills. Time will tell. Otherwise, I think we now have a combination of HC and GM that are in synch, and that have a firm idea of how they intend to build a team that will be consistently good. To do that, they have moved out some guys with large salaries they felt would not fit the idea they have for a team. Some I agree with (such as Dareus), others I didn't (such as Watkins). Beane and McD have hit on some FAs and missed on others, similar to what most GMs do. The area I would criticize is that he has not focused more attention up front. It was not his fault of course that Wood came up with a career ending injury, or that Richie went off the rails (although one could kind of see that coming). But as one who has always felt you win football games up front, I am disappointed more effort has not been used to build the O line especially, and the D line (at DE specifically). I think you have to give Beane and McD a number of years to actually let their plan work or not work. To me the constant turnover in team management since 2000 has been responsible for the long period of failure. Let them get the players they feel they need to work their plan, and then see if their plan works. GIve them 5 years at least.

No it's not and any review of my history of posts would tell you that. My question is very simple: what is the motivation behind some posters being continually negative? I truly do not get that. Rather than stifle discussion I would rather promote good discussion. Rather than people who post Beane sucks with no context and the like. What is the motivation behind that? When I feel criticism is warranted I'll provide it. I thought hiring Rex was wrong and said so at the time as an example. For the current team I do not understand keeping Ducasse. So spare me the censorship crap. And spare me the crap about wanting to ban anything negative about the organization. No where here have I said people should be banned. I am asking why they want to be on a Bills site if all they feel about them is negative. Here's an example of a negative idea I'd love to discuss in more detail. Isn't it you that talks a lot about how the team just wants to make money and that's all that's motivated them for years and years? How exactly does that make sense given the Pegulas spent 1.4 billion? They are not Ralph Wilson. So for you and others, if you don't want to explain the negativity fine. But don't tell me I'm the one trying to stifle things. I'm the one asking a question you don't want to answer.

It is an honest question, and like many here when I don't like decisions I voice it. Like Ducasse. That is different than those who continually look for the negative in everything with the team. I wonder why. I also could have, and maybe should have, written a similar thread about those who think the Bills are unicorns and rainbows despite obvious flaws. In that case their love for team clouds rational judgment. But when negative all the time? Why would you want to be like that? I am not saying there should be censorship of negative posts. I am asking what the motivation is for doing so, when there are posters who specialize in such. I happen to to agree with your thoughts on the O line. I disagree about comparing the current GM and HC to what has been done for decades; it is comparing apples and oranges. Such dialog seems much more reasonable than just spewing negativity about anything and everything.
