  1. Right now. But watch for guys like Shady and Kyle and Zo to retire or move on after this season. It may or may not he the Carr situation; that will be determined by the mental makeup of the player. Allen seems pretty tough. Plus the two situations are somewhat dissimilar. Houston was an expansion franchise. It was going to take them a while to build in the trenches. Buffalo got caught with an unexpected retirement and a perhaps slightly predictable losing of the mind of two good players. They felt Groy could do the job at one and hopefully he gets his head out of his butt and starts playing the way he did a couple years ago. The other one I hope a rookie comes in and starts soon. Either way they have 10 picks and millions of cap dollars next year to address this, so Allen may have one year behind a suspect line vs. several that Carr had.
  2. We disagree. Allen is now the starter, he has worked on Daboll's offense since he was drafted. And we'll see how he does. If guys like KB would actually catch the ball when hit right in their hands Allen has a chance to be pretty good.
  3. Matt Ryan has a history in the league. Allen didn't. That's a ridiculous comparison
  4. You are wrong in my opinion. With your approach there would be no need for training camp; just pick 53 guys you might like and that's it. Guys earn their spots. If one guy outplays another but the latter guy is handed the spot, that doesn't help a team. Allen has more physical talent to be sure but that isn't all there is to playing QB. Joe Montana was hardly a physical stud at the position. Peterman showed well in offseason and preseason. He earned his shot. For some reason he becomes a deer in the headlights in the regular season. So the Allen era begins. And the offense will be Daboll's offense and off you go.
  5. Got to have people earn their spot. Peterman looked good but then went belly up. Allen was going to start eventually, just moved up the timetable a few weeks. Would like to see a more veteran guy as backup in the film room. But it could be Peterman is great in the film room but just can't translate it to the field in regular season games.
  6. That means this: they were a playoff team. When the day comes that they win a Lombardi, how do you plan to negate that?
  7. I'd be happy to see him and Teller start.
  8. They got caught short handed in the O line. Other than that? It is amusing to see all the folks now clamoring that TT should have stayed given the grief they gave him last season.
  9. It would be amusing to go back a few years and see the posts then of those criticizing what's going on now. I would bet at least 50% were calling for exactly what they're doing now.
  10. It was inevitable I suppose. I hope they bring a guy like Moore in as a vet in the film room.
  11. We have been critical of both coaches and players after the debacle Sunday. Rightfully so. But which has more responsibility? I think players myself. When you boil it down football is imposing your will on the guy in front of you. And we have linemen get blown up, WRs that get pushed off the ball, etc. Coaches can't really change that, other than getting rid of guys (Miller? Ducasse? Groy?) i hope this Sunday some guys show some pride and step up their game.
  12. To say a guy has no hope one year in is dumb.
  13. I would call Terry back and tell him I don't take the job without a guaranteed 10 year no fire contract.
  14. Not now. Maybe later in the season if a contender has an injury pop up.
  15. I'm puzzled they haven't brought an O lineman in.
  16. Yes, relative to one of the hysteria around here.
  17. Do yourself a favor and look at the roster of playoff teams last year.
  18. I am still wondering why there is not a new O lineman here
  19. Not saying they can't or shouldn't. They absolutely need to improve. But when folks say they have done nothing right , and they are coming off a playoff year, that is simply ridiculous.
  20. I'll take your advice and not respond to the OP anymore here.
  21. They could have been better on offense. And defense. And they were in the playoffs. And they addressed offense by bringing in a new OC, drafted their potential franchise QB(did you see TTs performance Sunday by the way?). You can try and wriggle out of it any way you want but your position is we should be negative because they made the playoffs. That is ridiculous.
