  1. The guys that are always accurate and never miss? They wear gold jackets in August. The kid is developing.
  2. Was the offense awful or was the Titans D good? And if you can run the ball well, you run the ball. And let your young QB continue to grow and develop.
  3. Yes. Because the Colts had done squat all game and they knew they'd get the ball back. Did they win that game or lose it? Remind me.
  4. Open your eyes next week when you're watching the game.
  5. If he was everything you say they would not have moved up to take a QB when they did in the draft. McD and Beane are the only management guys the Bills have ever had that took a QB in the top 10. And Beane has said numerous times how important it is to have a QB that can throw in today's league.
  6. I agree with the OP. It will also open up more play action options.
  7. They are not mutually exclusive. Get that through your skull. Having him throw 50 times a game isn't developing him, it's more likely to get him killed. Allen develops every game. Yesterday he developed. When he threw he was more decisive with his reads. Knew where he was going with the ball more. Threw it away more quickly when he knew there was nothing there. Didn't get sacked because he either got the ball out or knew better when to take off. didn't do those backward spin moves like he did against the Pack. Made some very good throws. Honest to God, some folks I swear have never watched football before.
  8. Who won the game yesterday? Buffalo. What QBs get confidence when their team wins? Pretty much all of them. Put it on the O line and have them respond? A good thing unless you're a Bills fan. Only in Bills country does a team win a football game and the response is "But at what cost?"
  9. I guess the OP is asking what the priority would be. I still say both. I read somewhere that Allen is out before every practice working on his mechanics even as he prepares for the next game.
  10. No it's not. That is in fact ridiculous. Look at his throws to Zay yesterday to Holmes which should have been caught. The throw o Shady on third down in the last drive. When he sets his feet and throws he has looked fine. Could be better but no reason to think he can't continue to improve. Let's see: Panic mode. Your prized QB is beyond terrible Not sure why he was ever a consideration in the first round to begin with How often is a QB utterly awful Crucial 2nd round picks Tell me it's too early All these are comments you've made, hyperbolic comments made to generate blowback. You get it and then you're offended when you do. Your shtick is old and tired. Either contribute meaningfully to discussions around here or consider not posting such things if you're going to be hurt when folks comment back
  11. I prefer both. As I said, there is no reason you can't do both. You are asking a question to fit your perceived bias.
  12. The premise of your question is flawed. There is no reason you can't do both. He developed yesterday, despite all the hogwash saying he didn't. He was more decisive with reads, threw the ball away when he needed to. Things like that show development.
  13. Oh my God. Really. Now we're going to make judgments based on one play. I was a Rosen guy, and I watched quite a bit of their game yesterday. Rosen hit one big completion. On a number of other passes I saw he airmailed a few, missed a few. And that's fin e because he is a rookie QB on his second game. Much like Allen did some good and not so good things. The last rookie QB to come into the league and actually look like he was a star already, to my mind, was Marino a generation ago. Relax
  14. I have read three articles by national media guys in the last week saying how good McD is as a coach. Not that I place a whole lot of emphasis on media takes good or bad, but just mention this as a retort to so many Bills fans who have nothing but antipathy for the guy. He is also, I believe, the coach who got the to the playoffs last year. Although I will have to check on that, of course.
  15. Maybe both teams should forfeit. Yeah, they're 2-3. Terrible. Horrible.
  16. You can. This is just the same old crap parroted time and time again.
  17. You cannot see how his overall game contributed to the win. Who scored the only TD of the game? This is the problem with drafting a young QB. People roast him no matter what. The kid is, actually, a kid. He is learning. Yesterday he showed progress over the Packers game. He threw the ball away several times instead of taking sacks. If you watch him from the pocket, when he has time to set up he actually is pretty accurate, although he need to still work on his shorter passes. He was much more decisive on where he wanted to go with the ball. It seems clear his teammates are behind him. And for the first time in a long time a Bills offense had a last 2 min rally, came down the field, and won the game. I was a Rosen guy myself. But he is struggling as well. He was 10-25 yesterday and almost half his yards were on one pass to a wide open guy downfield. And if I were a Cards fan I wouldn't roast him either. Although I'm sure some are there. The four QBs drafted early round one are doing just what you'd expect. Developing. Some good some bad. They all won games yesterday. Good for them.
  18. Read Breer's article today on si.com.
  19. He us doing fine. Yesterday he threw the ball away when he needed to, didn't force things. He's showing growth and learning from game to game. He makes accurate throws when he has time in the pocket. Those saying he's terrible and can't improve are clueless and desperately trying to justify their preformed opinions.
  20. Yes he did. His was an autocratic culture. Not all cultures are the same.
  21. When you offer a reasonable argument I'll be happy to discuss. All you're doing is barking at the moon. As an example when you say all health care folks do is rip off patients it is not only wrong and insulting but completely ignorant
  22. Sounds good. Later than I would have liked but good to have a veteran around
  23. Want me to share Buddy's quotes saying EJ was his pick?
  24. The EJ pick was Nix. This has been battered about for years. Nix picked him.
