Well, as I said we will see what happens Sunday. Right now the Bills have a strong D, good running game. And they had a rookie QB in the learning process and a weak receiving group. Now, did they make decisions to put themselves in that position? Yep. Do they need to improve the receiving corps and O line, does Allen need to develop? Yep. So should they focus right now in their strengths to win games? You can guess the answer.

Yes they do. And he did try to work with Dareus. And Dareus did not want to listen. He just brought this Phillips guy in at DT and he played pretty well his first game after essentially getting thrown out of Miami. Shady is not exactly the most stable personality on the planet and McD has no problem with him. Benjamin is another - why is it people scream about how they should have let KB go after last week for his lack of effort, but when Dareus didn't give effort they should have coddled him? In general, I don't think McD has a problem with guys as long as they focus on football, do their work in the room and in the field. Dedicate themselves. Are we really at the point where that is too much to ask?

They could have done that. If they had though, would it have changed things so far this year? That is all I'm saying. I would have been OK with starting Allen from day 1 and all that would have done is give him 1.5 games more experience. And the same record as we have now. And reliance on a backup when he got hurt, the quality of the backup being questionable regardless.

My old man partner, I don't blame McCarron at all for wanting to start. I think we all assumed he would. But he got beat out by Peterman; any objective look would say that happened this summer. If Peterman did not throw up on himself none of those threads exist. Why he keeps doing that is mind boggling.

So let's just look at this again: 1. All last year people screamed about how you can't win without a QB, when are the Bills ever going to draft their WB, TT will never be a guy that wins. 2. Don't resign TT, draft Allen as their guy if the future. What song is sung now, at least by some? Should have kept TtT, why did we draft Allen. 3. Fast forward to post-draft. We all agree, I think, they should have brought a guy to mentor Allen. Bring in a guy to take snaps and let Allen learn, acknowledge this year may not work. 4. They bring a guy in. McCarron. But he gets outplayed by Peterman. Again, we all agree that they should have brought a guy in. But they didn't. And now the screams are that we should have kept and played a guy that got beat out in camp, because ..... well, I'm not sure. 5. Peterman wets the bed. Now Allen gets his shot; folks clamoring for him to play and learn on the job knowing they'll be mistakes made, take about one millisecond to decide Allen isn't good enough because he isn't the second coming of Dan Merino his rookie year. They scream that we have to get another guy in here. 6. Anderson is brought in. Now the screams are why Anderson, as if there was some magical option out there. We complain the season is over, as if the next Foles was just sitting around waiting. And ignore that most understood this might be a step back from last year. Everyone here agrees they should have brought a vet in sooner, either in March instead of McCarron or when he got cut. The rest? I'm not sure a comedy writer on his best day could write that script. See above

1. Born and raised in Tonawanda. Was at the Rockpile first game 1960 when I was 4 years old. 2. That they made my hometown into a major league city. 3. My best memory was hanging out in the locker room at Cardinal O'Hara with the guys from the AFL teams. My dad always reffed the charity game between the Bills and the faculty, so I'd hang out with my heros.

So you're getting all upset because they traded a guy who's a backup, and now have another backup? Everyone agrees they should have brought a guy in when they traded McCarron. But they did give McCarron a chance. And as Beane said he wasn't the guy they thought he'd be. So the mistake was not to get say Anderson in earlier. But he's here now. Do you honestly think McCarron would be so much better? Based on what?

That was with Jacksonville. Last year with the Bills he wasn't that good. Why did the light go on? Maybe getting traded woke him up. Maybe Marrone and Coughlin laid it on the line and told him he had one shot to make his mark. I just don't think we missed him much. Our run D went down a bit but the team still made the playoffs last year. And the D this year has really hit its stride. Sometimes trades are good for both sides.

He was not one of the best players. And a discipline problem. And your highest paid player can't be that guy. True best players like a Jordan or Byrd or Brady bust their ass as hard in practice as in games. They demand the best from themselves and their teammates. Do you honestly think Dareus was that kind of guy? You mention Taylor. Taylor had a ton of off field issues but when he was in the field there was never a question that he was killing himself. And I'l just sit here and have a little laugh about Hernandez.

Predict the score: Bills at Colts

Bills 16-13. Luck is going to get buried by the D. -
Crap. Unadulterated pure crap. And nonsense besides. Dareus is the one that was showing up late to mettings, games, etc. He tried to work with him - remember the pictures of him with Dareus one on one in the practice field? Had maybe the most professional guy on the team in Kyle right next to him? Yet Dareus would not straighten up. The highest paid guy on the team, and he would not straighten up. So they traded him. And brought in Star this year. And have you checked how the D is doing lately? The truly laughable thing here is to say since Dareus McD has been losing ever since. Maybe you missed it but they made the playoffs last year.
