Get it out. You'll feel better. As you say, he will be here anyway. But get your emotions out.

McD wants a team that plays hard until the whistle blows, that continues to compete even when things don't look good. And if you want to start cherry picking quotes, it's interesting that folks forget the one about him saying on WGRs afternoon show yesterday that you have to have a QB that plays consistently well to win. Which is right in line with Beane pre-draft saying that until you have your QB you don't win in the league. The jury of course is still out on Allen. But to suggest these guys don't understand you have to have offense to win in the league is folly. They just don't have the horses right now, and they need to fix that this off season.

A couple things here. One you say they had plenty of time to find a replacement for Wood. They had one on the roster: Groy. He didn't meet expectations after filling in admirably a couple seasons ago. and they did sign Bodine. And you also talk about having plenty of time to get a replacement for Richie. Now, given the dearth of O linemen in the league as it is, name for me at least two different centers and two different guards, on the free agent market, that they could have signed that would have changed things. You say they were derelict in their duty, then I presume you have folks in mind hat they should have signed. Now, would I have played Allen? IF he was my best QB on the roster, yes. And I think he was opening day. The hit that put him out was a fluke where he got caught between two guys. I do agree, as does Beane, as does everyone as far as I can tell, that they should have had a vet come in when they traded McCarron. The QB coach, by the way, was recommended by Andy Reid, who many here hold up as some kind of QB savant. Now, as to getting rid of guys. They're not going anywhere. I understand people are getting some kind of emotional release by yelling for it, but they are not going anywhere. They only possible scenario where that could happen is if they lose every single game the rest of the season in blowout fashion, and when Allen comes back that won't happen. Doesn't mean that the coaches are perfect. Can't have these blowouts and can't have the penalties like they did last week. Doesn't mean Beane and McD don't have things to fix. But they have a lan, and part of that is having the cap space and picks to build things the way they see fit. They'll get that opportunity.

WHO DESERVES THE BLAME?? THE PEGULAS!

You run around calling people you don't know liars, and others are the three year olds? What Mcd said? First of all I was not in the room. What I think he would say to his veterans is that they want to be competitive both short term and long term, with the goal of being a franchise that is consistently competing for titles year in and year out. I think that's a safe presumption because that is what the HC and GM have said pretty much since they were hired. This year things went wrong. The QB that they were brining in to be the veteran presence didn't cut it. And yes, when they traded him they should have got another guy in. Perhaps you did not see it this weekend but Beane said that. And I think players appreciate candor from the coaches and front office when they screw something up. LIke McD did when he talked to the team after starting Peterman against the Chargers. I don't think they told anyone they weren't going to be good this year. So if that's your position then the rest of your stuff falls flat. They have not gotten the performance they wanted out of the offense. Absolutely true. And those decisions are on them, also true. The one thing they have made no secret about, to players and owners and fans alike, is that they felt they had to get out from under some bloated contracts, so they took a big cap hit this year. -
I watched and charted every play of the Texans game. He was getting the ball out quick and on target the majority of his throws. He has a long way to go but he is developing. He may make it, may not. We should a hope he will. You need to quit pretending you're some kind of authority on NFL quarterback play vs. other posters. Your love of Winston proved you ain't that smart.
-
So the rookie is supposed to automatically be better than most guys in the league? Sure. Check out Darnold yesterday, and no one is saying he should not be playing or that he isn't their guy. Allen was improving as he went along. Sort of what young players do. And actually he probably wasn't the worst, because your boy Winston would be included in that list.

Josh Allen is all that matters

I think Daboll will open it up more when Allen returns. As much as he can given the talent he has at the skill positions. They know you have to have a QB to win in the league. Beane said that going into the draft. But as one who has watched Bills football since 1960, and I'm sure you have for quite a while as well, it is true that in November/December it helps to have a guy that can hum the ball at QB. Look at our two most successful guys in history: Kemp and Kelly. Both could hum it when the winds blew. -

Then make it more clearly. Here's your post: Whenever Terry speaks I find myself wondering how that idiot made so much money. I mean, fracking, but still....that man is an idiot. If you disagree with me, may I present the Sabers and Bills.... What exact point are your trying to make? You do realize that Jerry Jones is the only owner in the league that even sniffed the level of professional ball, right? -
Sounds like we can have a reasonable dialog here, but let's drop the homer stuff. we all should be homers, we all want them to succeed. There is evidence to suggest Beane can get this turned around. His draft last year has given us our potential leaders on both O and D, a solid DT in Phillips, a solid slot CB in Johnson, and hopefully a good G in Teller. He clearly has to focus on the offensive side of the ball this coming offseason. Let's see what he does there. The QB thing? They should have brought a vet in when McCarron got traded, they didn't, Beane admits he should have. I'm not sure the equation may have changed much, but learn from your mistake.

One can make that argument I think. They certainly have to address the offense in a big way this off season. If they don't they'll deserve whatever criticism comes at them. -

Call em the way I see em. No one lied. It's stupid to say otherwise. I think I'm going to send Belichick a note and ask him how to make a fortune in the oil and gas industry. I mean, the man is a football genius so he must know about that...... -

The yelling of fans since the day Kelly retired: We will never go anywhere until this franchise steps up and goes to get their franchise guy!!!! The yelling of fans since the day Josh Allen was drafted (pick one of 2): Oh, no , not THAT guy!!!!!!! or We should never have drafted a QB until we had the pieces to put around him!!!!!!!! -

Oh, and now the childish kool aid crap. You're on a roll today. Let's blame Beane and McD for not starting Johnny Greene opening day 1960 -
I said nothing of the sort. You are confusing me with someone else. Nowhere did I say they are doing this to acquire a top 5 pick. So we can add reading incomprehension to your list of issues. Let me type this slowly so you can understand: the current performance of the team is on the head coach and GM. I'll repeat so maybe for once you will actually comprehend it: the current performance of the team is on the head coach and the GM. The current performance. Which has exactly nothing to do with the selection of Donte Whitner or Mike Williamsor Marcel Dareus. None, Nothing, Zip. Zilch. Zero. I think they made a mistake trading Lamonica to the Raiders. Your crying, and it is crying, about what happened 10-20 years ago as if it somehow has any bearing on today makes as much sense as me blaming Beane for trading Lamonica.

No, it's just the only reaction to a guy that posts stuff about selecting Mike Williams, as if it has a damn thing to do with this regime and the problems with this year. When you do that, all you're doing is crying like a three year old. That's your problem, not mine. The current regime miscalculated on some things this year, and now are going to have to use this off season to put some major pieces around their young QB. I have said that repeatedly now. You? for some ridiculous reason you bring up Mike Williams.

I think the difference between McDermott and Ryan is Rex came in and boasted that he was the answer and that they'd immediately become great. McDermott I think came in and told him it would be a process. -
Bill's Offensive Line is the problem. Amazing stat.

They hold themselves accountable. As they should. And their owner holds them accountable. As they should. Resources have to be put into the O line this offseason. Clearly. -

This thread is clearly sarcasm. Those other threads? There are people who honestly believe that Pegula is going to rise up and fire either Beane or McD right as if that will really happen. -

Whiners are whiners, true. -
Yes, and Beane drafted every one of them. Get the following through your head, you and the others crying this morning, once and for all: 1. No one is happy with things the way they are. No one. No one on this board, and no one at OBD. 2. Blaming the current coach and front office for things that happened 10-20 years ago is pointless and stupid. 3. Everyone agrees that Beane and McDermott have to figure this out. Part of that is using the cap space they - yes - created (to bet rid of what they considered bloated contracts) and the draft picks they accumulated to do a serious upgrade to the talent, especially on offense. And that their jobs depend on it.
