  1. Thanks and much respect to all the vets out there
  2. I do not defend them at every turn as any cursory reading of posts would tell you. Your act is old and tired.
  3. If they do they'll deserve it
  4. Absolutely. Groy was a big disappointment. I expect picks and FAs up front. Perhaps a new O line coach.
  5. I will as I have enjoyed watching since 1960. Sometimes screaming in frustration, yes. But that is what happens when you're a fan. you want to quit, quit.
  6. I suspect he's costing himself a ton of $$
  7. Everyone including Beane agrees they should have had a vet here when McCarron got traded. Drafting what you hope is your long term answer at QB does not equate to messing up the most important position. That means you are addressing the most important position.
  8. He drafted the young guy. And he's hurt. People have screamed for years we need to take our shot at a QB. And he did.
  9. No fan is going to wait 5 years was your point. So? They can't decide whether they stay on or not. You want to stop watching or rooting for them go ahead. Most fans won't.
  10. Fans don't own the team though.
  11. Name a starting center in free agency they should have signed. Other than Bodine. And they had Groy who had filled in capably. Plus they had Dawkins at LT so Glenn was replaced. Guard I can see.
  12. And here we go with the nonsensical profit trumps winning crap. They drafted their heir young QB to be their future. He got hurt. Facts vs. your crap.
  13. They are not getting fired and the constant calls for such are beyond ridiculous at this point
  14. 1. Name the C that was on the market they should have signed. 2. Richie signed the deal.
  15. The starter and backup are hurt. Your third QB didn't do well. So now another one. That is what happens when two guys get hurt. Duh.
  16. The only thing the current regime did wrong, if you want to call it that, was not signing a veteran guy to come in after McCarron was traded. Beane said as much. And from what I've read, they tried to do so. Other than that? Peterman played really well in preseason. You can howl all you want about preseason not counting, but he clearly beat out McCarron. No question. But he threw up again in the regular season games. Even last week he hits three guys in the hands and still got picked. Not much can be done about that. But clearly he has now shown he just can't be trusted. So they brough in Anderson. He got hurt. Allen got hurt. Two QBs got hurt. The third guy hasn't cut it. So they had to sign a fourth guy, another vet in Barkley that has a meh history. What exactly do you think they're going to get at this point in the season, a Pro Bowl type guy? Barkley is Anderson is Sanchez is Moore is any other veteran guy out there in the same position. So going forward you hope Barkley provides something. You hope Allen comes back after the bye. For the bloodthirsty I suppose you can cut Peterman. Other than that, what. Two QBs including your young starter went down. Any team in the league would have troubles then, unless you're playing the Raiders.
  17. Everyone is tired of your act.
  18. Allen in terms of QB. I absolutely agree that any QB needs pieces around him. I presume that will be the major focus this offseason.
  19. One could also say Barkley filled in OK with the Bears. Ultimately it's Allen that matters.
  20. Ed Rotkowski? Marlin Briscoe? Joe Dufek? Bruce Mathewson?
  21. Such is life when the starter is out. My daughter just texted me that we wouldn't have gone through this if we had kept McCarron. I said back it wouldn't matter; may have made the losses closer.
  22. Like not drafting a QB. Oh, wait.....,
  23. Fine with me too and I'm already old
